There was quite a lot of noise from the street in the early hours of Sunday morning but it was the queen's jubilee weekend.

My room was very hot and stuffy with no airflow, the window looked onto a brick wall and barley opened, the duvet was a very heavy winter duvet and it was 30 degrees that day. there was a lot of noise and I was constantly woken all night ! barley slept at all ! the rooms and doors where very close together so it sounded like people where trying to get into my room all night. I was woken by every other guest trying to work the terrible old fashioned locks to get into there rooms for 2 or 3 mins each time. the restaurant was nice and the food looked good but there was very little for vegetarians and nothing at all for Vegans. unfortunately I do not recommend this hotel and definitely won’t be going back.

The staff couldn’t do enough for us! So friendly. Just a lovely budget hotel that doesn’t skimp on quality!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room, though compact was comfortable and clean. The breakfast, cooked to order, was delicious and the best I’ve tasted in Wales.

The last time I stayed in the hotel I reported that the shower was not working in room 19, when I was allocated the same room this time, I mentioned the shower not working previously and was assured that it was operating perfectly, only when I came to use it in the morning it was not working. In rooms I have stayed in 14, 19 and 22 the light is very poor to non-existent by the mirror in the bathroom and makes shaving difficult. The radiators/electric convector heaters are extremely rusty and gives the impression of dirty damp rooms, really inefficient
