Poor disabled access and charge for carpark

Great, secure parking. Very close to the sea front. Tea and coffee facilities. Quiet location. We like to see old buildings renovated and used for accommodation, etc.

Small room. Tiny bathroom, with poor access to the toilet. Leaky shower, putting water all over the floor. No access to the roof, or SPA area. Didn't match the publicity description, at all. Reception manager a little brusque in attitude.

location is perfect for surfing. parking (paid) is secure enough for leaving surfboards on the car

Excellent secure parking. Lift available to our small-to-medium size room on the third floor. Pleasant partial view of the ocean over roof tops (as mentioned in the advertising literature). Close to the beach and shoreline restaurants. Hotel restaurant does not open in the evening but resort restaurants that were open were very good.

Bit of a struggle getting from the car park at ground level to the lift on the first floor. We visited for three days in mid September and it was apparent that Les Sables d'Olonne was coming to the end of its season with restaurants closing early (some with no evening service). We didn't use the "spa", a cute little tub on the roof top that wasn't very pretty.

Eccentric decor doesn’t disguise shoddy surroundings, e.g. the thin ‘wood’ flooring in our room had been laid on top of the old carpet so in several places dangerously sharp edges had raised. Ours was supposedly a superior room but I don’t know what made it so. The lavatory was off the pokey little room that served as a balcony, on the opposite side of the room from the bathroom. Not sure how it could be addressed, but the hotel is totally inaccessible for anyone with mobility issues as there are steep steps to front and back entrances. No staff after 7.45 in the evening; we were refused a drink at the so-called bar at 7.30. Reception staff were usually pleasant and friendly, but if the phone rang you would be instantly ignored, or you could stand waiting for several minutes while something was very engrossing on a computer screen. Wouldn’t go again.

the mattress was very old and uncomfortable dog barking all night please rent out umbrellas to guests (bike traveller’s can’t buy everything they need)

Fool location 2min walk to the beach. Friendly staff and nice Spa(9euro for 30min P/P). highly recommend the Spa it was excellent view and relaxing.

The toilet was in the small space. if you have long legs need to squeeze in your legs.

Location, 3 minutes from bars and beach, extremely helpful management, stylish breakfast area, would like to have stayed longer.

Broken shower and when we reported it I was treated like I had broken it. No apology. We could not shower. Receptionist not very welcoming.

Everything! The room was clean, comfortable and large. There was even a balcony with tables and chairs. But the best was the location. Only minutes away from the beach, and close to various shops, boulangerie, and grocery stores. Also, the room key does not identify the hotel, so that you can bring it with you to the beach. Nobody will steal it since they would have to guess from which hotel it came. Good luck with that!

The only thing that could have been better, is that there was only one hanger for hanging clothes. A little more would have been better.
