Modern, clean and bright

The staff were excellent but their didn’t need to be enough of them. We waited quite a while to be able to buy a Drink.

Stayed in studio 2, clean, spacious, fabulous toiletries and linen etc, great location. Staff helpful and friendly.

the property is a great space, lovely bar area, and our room was clean and tidy if very small.

I bought 2 drinks at the bar and took them to our room without realising payment had failed. in the room I received a phone call asking me to go pay. in our way out for the evening I went to reception, no staff. I went to the bar and waited a full 5 minutes, no staff. so thought not to worry, I’ll just settle up at checkout. got back from dinner, and at 9pm I had a member of staff knocking on my bedroom door wanting payment. I’ve never been chased back to my room at night in a hotel anywhere in the world, what a ridiculous , and insulting, way to run a hotel

Lovely staff, comfortable room.

The fire alarm went off before 7am. Everyone went outside. Turns out it was set off by a shower - a fault known to the hotel but they were completely unfazed by the fact all their guests were woken and disturbed in this way. They need to fix this! I would not stay here again as there is no guarantee of a peaceful sleep.

location of the hotel is excellent, on the high street in Oban and a 2 minutes walk to the harbour front. easy to find and loads of secure parking space at the rear of the hotel. The hotel is very clean and seems newly renovated, rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The staff we met were very friendly and gave us a nice Highlang welcome. we were there at Christmas time so it was very quiet, but I would love to stay there in the summer time. wonderful location to explore not only Oban and the mainland locations such as Glencoe and the nearby Lochs but also for trips to the Hebridean Islands via local ferries.

we had no problems at all but “big luggage” travellers should note that there is no elevator but if you have big heavy cases the staff will help you take them up if needed.

Staff are always welcoming and so friendly and the hotel is always immaculate. The Scot hotel is our favourite hotel in Oban..we have been there lots of times now and can't see past it.. as for the breakfast, all I can say is Brilliant..

Staff were great, location was ideal and the breakfast we had on last morning was lovely.. Room was spacious and clean, great blackout curtains. Shower was great good water pressure too.

Not much but was disappointed that bed was like a brick, (could use a topper) I didn't sleep well because of it.
