It's a nice hotel in the centre. Clean, helpful staff, perhaps a bit dated. It seems it follows a bus- tourist strategy. The bar next to the reception was not really inviting and was ran by the receptionist.

The Lift was in need of replacement as unable to operate as last user had left the Safety Gate Open. The Lift is unsafe and totally unsatisfactory in 2024.

Absolutely loved our weekend stay for Mum's 80th birthday. Our room had a beautiful sea view and was spotless. Beds were comfortable and we slept well. The staff were amazing and we had a beautiful meal in Rio Restaurant. Location was just perfect too. Will definitely return in the near future.

Parking had to be paid the following day and the information we were given was erroneous. The lift was old and required collaboration from guests -- which resulted in people (staff and guests) having to run up and down the stairs to look for the lift for those that couldn't manage the stairs. This could be a problem late at night. Bathroom - shower tap broken and "mended" with a screw (same in the other room) and water not very hot. Staff not especially friendy over breakfast re allergies

Super Lage, sehr freundliches Personal an der Rezeption und der Möglichkeit auch Nachts noch einen Drink zu bekommen. Hotel hat viel Charme (incl. Ur-Alt-Aufzug), könnte aber auf Dauer mal wieder kleinere Erneuerungen vertragen. Perfekter Ausblick vom Zimmer auf Oban und den Hafen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat gepasst.

We arrived a little early but were able to leave our luggage. Imagine our surprise when I received a phone call at 2pm from the male receptionist to tell us our room was ready - an hour early!
