The location is fabulous. This was our second visit and it is definitely a dog friendly place to stay, unlike some places we have stayed that limit you to a tiny box room because you have a dog. The room was spacious and comfortable, for us and our greyhound.

We loved everything about the property, the only thing we didn’t like was more to do with the timing of breakfast. Grasmere was teeming with visitors, yet trying to to find a cafe that opened before 9.30am was impossible.

location is perfect, Nice drive to the hotel and great walking and hiking areas near the accommodation. Both the rooms were comfy. Would definitely stay again.

Grasmere is the ideal town to stay for exploring the Lake District

on the ground floor we didn’t have a ‘Lake View’ but it didn’t detract from our enjoyment of our stay.

Room was perfect, clean and comfortable. The garden was an added bonus we hadn't expected - it was so nice to have an outdoor space to relax in... And allow space for the toddler to let off some steam. He especially appreciated the "dome"!

Our room (Holly) was well-suited for a married couple with a comfortable large bed and plenty of space for our cases. The property has a nice little communal lounge area which is good for a rainy day and it has an excellent location just off the main road -- so no noise from passsing traffic and pedestrians -- with private, five-minute walk access to Lake Grasmere. The people who own the property also own the The Good Sport pub just up from the house (under 5-min walk) which does excellent food. The staff at both places were friendly and happy to accommodate requests.

My only criticism is that the shower cubicle in our bathroom doesn't drain particularly well and has quite a low rim so water escapes onto the bathroom floor VERY easily.

Breakfast very good ,but would have liked it served earlier. Location quiet,lovely views ,and a short walk on a private path to the lakeside.

Lovely location, off the main high street and away from the bustle. The room was a good size and well equipped, with a lovely view but only 2 towels for 3 of us..(1 child).

The bed was quite soft and seemed rather short for us both (5"8) but we all slept well, despite some noise from other guests. The bathroom was very disappointing - decor and shower facilities; the hot water ran out quickly in the morning.

Breakfast was lovely, just had to go across the road for this. Staff were lovely, also dog friendly. Location was in the centre, near to pubs and restaurants a walking distance.

Wonderful location, lovely little cottage, perfect for my partner and I & our two spaniels. It’s lovely dogs are so welcome, we treat our dogs as family, so always want to bring them with us, when in the UK.

Nosy guests directly above us. Not the property owners fault. It’s difficult to control inconsiderate guests, who have showers and make a racket at 1:30am, both nights we stayed! + Wi-Fi kept dropping.

Great location so close to the lake and all local amenities. Very clean. Comfortable. All creature comforts available. Good standard of decor and quality of furnishings and accessories.

Beautiful place run by lovely people and the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! Need to know the make and model of that mattress!

Peaceful setting and very comfortable bedroom and bathroom

The location of the property was ideal for some weekend walking adventures. It was also quiet and very comfortable. Before we left we were already speaking of staying again in the future. The food available at the Good Sports Bar was also ideal for our stay and was a great touch having 10% discount when showing where we were staying.

Still struggle what to write after several minutes of thinking…..

the lake view is centrally located for all of Grasmere’s amenities. The apartment was exceptionally clean and comfortable.
