Appartement de bonne taille , proche du centre-ville en voiture
Appartement vétuste, literie vraiment mauvaise (je repars avec un mal de dos), appartement sale, qui aurait besoin d’un grand ménage et rafraîchissement surtout la salle de bain qui est vieillotte .De plus, nous n’avons pas eu d’eau chaude du séjour malgré intervention de la femme de ménage. Heureusement que la douche est électrique et indépendante. Appartement de bonne taille. C’est dommage 😞

Host was really friendly and helpful, very good price for a last minute booking. Accommodation was basic but plenty of room and everything you need for a place to get your head down!

there was mould everywhere even on the pillows !! there was rust all around the bath mould init the apartment was so damp weed smell from the neighbours and really loud at night

Place was Clean, good WiFi, good communication, quiet area and nice touch leaving milk, bread and butter.
Dark external stairwell and walkways. No lighting.

Very quiet, secluded. Unexpectedly so, as it was on a lovely leafy road, but the building was maybe 20 apartments arranged like a tenement, it reminded me of my first duplex in the projects in the States.
Take a flashlight to navigate the stairwell, and once inside, it's lovely. There were some provisions for tea, coffee, breakfast, that was a nice surprise.
Smaller bedroom mattress was soft. Larger bedroom mattress firmer. Balcony overlooks the road, is handy enough. Heating is provided by two fast-acting wall mounted radiators. You'd not need them on for long. 5 minutes on setting 1 was enough
Oven is effective. I've stayed places where it takes a year to cook a pizza. Not here. It's great.
Nearest amenities appear to be a big supermarket on the way to the racecourse, or a Tesco express/garage a mile in the opposite direction.
Theres lots of off street parking.
No marking on the oven switch, so assume the setting is at the top.
Shower 'hose/line', looked like it needed a good scrub. The balcony door glass was foggy, both the last two points take the edge off an otherwise immaculate apartment.
Finding the apartment. Difficult from the street. It's under the building, right up the stairs, almost to the end of the first landing.

Sean is a very responsive and diligent host. Communication was excellent from booking and throughout. Unfortunately there were several cleaning issues on arrival and Sean’s response was immediate and the problems were addressed with his cleaner and resolved quickly (I was thoughtfully left a bottle of Prosecco and a vacuum cleaner for my use throughout my stay which was really appreciated). Sean has also clearly responded to previous feedback/reviews from other guests.
The apartment has everything that is needed and offers good value for money overall. Excellent problem-free WiFi throughout the apartment. The main bedroom offers lots of storage space and the apartment has been thoughtfully furnished. Plenty of hot water, the heaters provided were adequate and appreciated, plenty of crockery provided and no problems with the facilities. Plenty of on site parking which was great.
The location is in a really well kept lovely residential area, with local shops nearby and there is a lovely walk around the lake at Lakeside Village within walking distance.
As a solo traveler it was comforting to know you had a host who was available to contact if anything was needed.
It’s a real shame about the building itself which seems very out of place in such a nice area (clearly this is not the fault of the host). It is a mainly residential block of flats which is very tired and clearly has been there for some time with little attention paid to its structural upkeep. Due to this there was a pervasive and strong smell of damp in the main bedroom (not visible) emanating from the wall between the bedroom and bathroom. This did affect my chest as I was there for a month, however the other bedroom was fine and I slept much better in there.
I was woken up at 4:15am on the first Friday by shouting and loud music being played by the neighbours, which then led to a conflict outside from another neighbour who had also been disturbed. This was somewhat disconcerting but this was the only problem I experienced during my stay regarding residents (and again this clearly is not at the fault of the host).
The apartment itself would benefit from a bit of a refresh/paint and small things like decent hooks for towels etc would make a difference. Perhaps some hanging air fresheners in the wardrobe would assist a bit with the damp smell (I bought one and a Reed diffuser and it made a bit of a difference). The pans/cooking equipment provided do require replacing (I brought my own so that was fine but I really wouldn’t have wanted to use the ones there). It’s a real shame that Sean’s cleaners let him down initially but as mentioned this was resolved satisfactorily and I’m sure they will be more diligent in future.

Great place, great communication and ample parking.
Could do with all the drawers cleaning out and skirting boards were dusty. The Ash tray on the balcony was full so emptied by me. Otherwise a great place.

Excellent location for Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
Well equipped kitchen. Cereals, eggs, biscuits, coffee were a lovely touch!
Also toiletries and toothpaste - very thoughtful!
We liked the 2 long settees for 3 of us.
Plenty of bedding.
Check cutlery drawer to make sure previous guest have washed utensils properly.
Perhaps add a bin bag for kitchen rubbish.
