Pleasant and engaging receptionists. Nice decor throughout hotel. Nice comfortable room. Good fitness facilities. All requests met, reference room location and fan request. Great location.

The indoor pool is just about long enough for a fitness swim however without a lane attainment of a genuine swim for fitness was impossible due to families and individuals swimming widths. Not hotels fault neither is it the fault of others in the pool. But lane swimming at certain times of day would make it perfect.

The bedroom doors bang shut so loudly it would wake the dead. Came back twice from wedding party on understanding bar would be open round the clock but was closed early both nights.

The AC the room didn’t work well, and the technician couldn’t repair it, even though we paid higher rate for a hotel with AC in the rooms. Not enough toiletries. only basic coffee at breakfast. extra payment for machine coffee.

There was alot of noise from the near by industrial estate. And was particularly load on Sunday morning!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Barnstaple hotel. The decor was nice, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. We really liked the pool - the temperature was spot on. It was so good that you could easily forget you were in Barnstaple, and we were allowed to use the pool again after our checkout time. We will definitely stay there again 👍

The only thing we didn't like was the positioning of the toilet roll holder, but in the grand scheme of things am I really going to mark a hotel down over a toilet roll? 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

The kids loved the swimming pool. The location is good to visit my parents. I liked that the room had a mini fridge. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Not too expensive is always a bonus.

The family room is a bit small once you pull out the sofa bed and you can’t open the balcony door once it’s out so it might get quite hot in there during the summer months.

staff were fantastic, room was spacious. food was delicious and access to the leisure facilities was great!

the only negative for me was the external noise, especially at night. this isn’t noise from the hotel but from work buildings nearby.
