A good modern hotel in a location which is close of the Historic Centre and also close to friends we were visiting. The room and the breakfast were excellent. On arrival, we were welcomed warmly by the receptionist.

Check out was a problem. As we were catching a very early train, we wanted to settle our bill the evening before. The two reception staff were rude and unhelpful. They said their system did not allow check out the night before. When I insisted, my bill was prepared. Then the receptionist told me that my credit card was not working. It had worked in a shop one hour earlier and he was not allowing enough time for it to work. Again I had to insist, he did it more slowly and it worked. This was unnecessary and rude.

Good Location, convenient Parking.

Great location for the city centre around a 15 minute walk across the park that was opposite. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the decor in reception was very pleasant. Our room was spacious and very comfortable and breakfast was more than adequate.

On street parking is at a premium and can be a problem during the day time, but not an issue during the evening.
