The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They set up reservations for us, called taxis, called a medical clinic and then wrote a not for us to give to them after my wife injured her knee skiing. The property was the cleanest that we have stayed with.
Nothing. We stayed in a traditional room which we really enjoyed. When the were cleaning a non traditional room I peeked in and it did not look like our cup of tea.

The breakfast was very adequate and fresh daily, we really enjoyed everything about our stay.
The coffee could have been better, if you like good coffee.

public bath in hotel wasn’t open. all the local public baths were open, so it didn’t seem like a good excuse to say the hotel baths weren’t open because of covid

Hotel is close to ski gondola, staffed with locals (Nozawa onsen otherwise feels more like Australia thanks to many season workers). Room feels cozy and bed is very comfortable. Hotel has a vending machine with alcoholic beverages (beer, strong...) which is a feature as restaurants in the village generally close early.

Location of hotel is good, 5 min walk to ski lift
We booked a room with western beds. Price for this option was expensive compared to other locations in Nozawa Onsen.
Not very flexible for late check-in. We asked for check-out for 1 pm instead of 12:00 pm (1 hour more), but it was not possible more than 1/2 h. If we were willing to pay extra it would suddenly become possible...

customer service was outstanding - from assisting with getting a taxi to pick us up from
the bus stop, to sending info on restaurants and helping with booking, and the day to day greetings, it is a very warm and friendly environment.
we couldn’t use the common bath due to temporary closure but that can’t be helped in this climate so we understand!

Location is great for reaching the gondola and staff are fantastic. They go out of their way to be helpful, including picking up ski passes and making dinner reservations. Breakfast buffet was easy for vegetarians, with a selection of breads, cheese, eggs, yogurt and delicious local apples. The fire place in the lounge is cozy and a great way to spend time.

very clean and the host as well as Mami san are ver courteous, amiable and attentive to our every need. they are also very flexible. location is also between Nagasaka gondola and bus station
I like almost everything about the property. it will be nice though if they would offer a little more meat in the breakfast buffet.

They set me up with a special bottle of champagne for my birthday! They had gluten free and vegetarian options available for breakfast! And their gluten free bread was amazing!

Staff were really helpful and friendly even when they were very busy.
Room was good value for money.
Slopes were a little walk up the hill, but near the main gondola.
Unfortunately, due to covid, the baths were out of action. But I’ll be happy to come again and try them next time.

Elizabeth is a 10min walk to the Nagasaki Gondola (5min walk back since downhill), and is about a 5min walk into the center of town. The entrance has a wood burning stove with coffee and tea, and they have parking (a big plus). They have multilingual staff that go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The facility is not super luxurious, but it's better than most of my 14+ stays at Nozawa Onsen. Our tatami room included a private bathroom and shower, and it was warm, clean, and very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again.
The breakfast could've been better, but the basics were covered (bagels, cereal, juice, rice, miso soup), so not a big issue.
