We spent a week at this beautiful home outside of Durango. It was the perfect spot for our family of 10. With 6 bedrooms we all had plenty of space and both living areas allowed some to watch movies and play games while others watched the Olympics. We all spent ample time on the large from porch. This area was amazing with beautiful views, lots of seating, a fireplace and a large table where we had a very special dinner! The location was also perfect for trips to Purgatory, Mesa Verde, the Durango train and the nearby Durango Hot Springs. The location was also close to James Ranch which we thoroughly enjoyed! We highly recommend this home!!

We were 3 families staying at this beautiful property. There is plenty of room for everyone. The early birds didn't disturb the night owls and vice versa. Plenty of pool and poker were played while on vacation. You are far enough away from town so it is peaceful, but still not a far drive into Durango. We loved hearing the train each day. The front porch is an amazing place for games, eating and best of all - relaxation! Ann has thought of everything with her property. This vacation home was the easiest stay we ever had! Basic consideration was really all she asked, unlike other places where you have a ton of rules, cleaning expectations, etc. We felt comfortable in her home and treated it like we were staying at a good friend's home. All of us hope to return to Durango again and Ann's home would be our 1st choice!

We were absolutely delighted from the time we walked into this lovely home until we departed a week later. Situated in a beautiful location up against the red Hermosa cliffs, it overlooks the beautiful Animas valley. The home was very clean, comfortably furnished, and tastefully decorated. We had every single convenience we needed. I have stayed in many VRBO properties over the years, including several in the Durango area, and this was definitely one of the best.

The property was beautiful and well taken care of! Property owner was very helpful with communicating, despite issues with the VRBO site. Property would be a 10/10 if they added a hot tub to the outside front deck.

We went out to Durango in celebration of my birthday and did just that. Made home cooked meals in a lovely home, enjoyed scenery, hot springs and very close to town! Felt very comfortable and cozy. Would definitely stay again.

This house was perfectly set up for our large extended family. We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had from the minute we reserved the home until after checkout. Restaurant and activity suggestions were spot on. Thank you for a wonderful Christmas with our family!

We celebrated a 70th birthday with 8 adults and 6 children (2 infants). The house was clean, roomy, and well-stocked. The outside front deck is fabulous and we ate all our meals out there and played games at night. We are talking about a return trip!! The communication with the owner was easy and prompt.

We had a great time! The house was big and the porch was amazing! We ate dinner on the porch every night and then hung out and played games and had a fire. It was a good location, not too far from everything we wanted to do. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay!

We loved everything about this property! The attention to detail throughout the entire house made our stay easy and comfortable. Got a significant amount of snow and had someone clearing the driveway by mid morning. Are hoping to stay here again next year!

This is the second time we have rented this property and we just love it!! Room to spread out, game room is awesome and location is to die for!! We will be booking again for a repeat vacay with the grandkids.

We had the most wonderful time. The VRBO was perfect: clean, spacious, great location, and all the basics needed to have a lovely vacation. Ann was a wonderful host, very responsive and thorough. We even had someone come by to clear the sidewalks when it snowed. This was hands-down our best VRBO experience. We highly recommend the cabin for a family vacation.

Our 3 generation family had a wonderful Thanksgiving week in this beautiful home. Two living areas allowed kids and adults to have separate spaces. Plenty of beds for all 10 people. The upper bunk is not a good idea for younger children since the mattress is deep and cancels out the benefit of a guard rail but we all had a lovely time. Owner was very responsive to a heating system issue and all was resolved quickly.

If your looking for a perfect place for your big family or big group of friends this place is it. It's beautiful, spacious and super comfortable. We have been coming to Durango for 35 plus years and this may be our favorite place yet. Highly recommend.

The home has a perfect layout with several master suites, several living spaces and a killer front porch with incredible views and a wood burning fireplace! So well equipped and comfortable - it's an incredible mountain getaway house. Close to some of the most incredible hikes and close to Durango as well. this is house is very well appointed and the owner is very responsive to answer any questions or issues that might arise. It's a winner!

This was our 10 year anniversary of our friends gathering from all over the US (12) and this house was beyond perfect. The spectacular view front and back. The fabulous table where we all gathered outdoors every night to enjoy our meals, The outdoor fireplace where we congregated after dinner. The kitchen that had dishes and silverware for all of us. (We've been a few places where there wasn't enough kitchenware. The place was spacious for cooking and sleeping and so comfortable. The gang all agreed, this was the best house we've ever stayed in

We had a GREAT time and the house fit us perfectly! We weren’t able to get the living room TV running per the instructions, but we were too busy anyway! We would definitely recommend this house and stay there again!

We really enjoyed our stay nestled between the beautiful hills and valley between Durango and Purgatory. We made a fairly extensive meal one night in the well stocked kitchen. Beds are comfy and bathrooms spacious. We had fun playing pool and sitting out on the front porch in front of the fire. This was perfect for our needs.

Everything about the place gets an A+ ! Location, views, quality of décor and even the construction. {I am very familiar & experienced in building} Lot's of options of fun things in the area, however having a meal on the amazing front porch with family is very satisfying while enjoying the view and mule deer that come grazing by and don't immediately run when they see a person. They just keep their distance. Highly recommend this place. Owner kept in touch occasionally indicating availability if needed. Was never actually needed. Worth every penny spent for the rental! All 13 of us thoroughly enjoyed the stay at this Hermosa residence. The house was spacious and convenient to Durango and of the activities we engaged in. The grandkids especially enjoyed all of the animals that came by the house in the early morning and early evening. We will be back!

Great place to stay
We loved the location - beautiful, quiet, spacious but yet close to Durango. We had a large group of 18 people from 11 months - grandparent. We all had plenty of space. Especially enjoyed the outdoor areas to enjoy the scenery and company of others.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful home, lovely views.
Excellent experience for our family of 18. The house was carefully designed and equipped beyond our expectations; we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was close to hiking and the mountains.

The property was as advertised and in the beautiful setting of the Colorado Rockies. There was plenty of space to spread out and the kitchen was well-equipped. There were a few items that needed repair, but overall great accommodations.
