We had such a great time at this cabin. The location is perfect. It’s such a great property with this rustic cabin tucked in the woods. However, you are only five minutes away from Asheville with all of the restaurants and shopping. The pond is so pretty, especially first thing in the morning. It was so quiet and you can sit on the porch in the morning, sipping your coffee and viewing the wildlife. The owner was available For questions and was very open and welcoming. The cabin has everything that you could possibly need. All we had to bring was food. We plan to return in the future, hopefully for an entire week. The weekend went by much too fast.

We loved the location. It was close to the Biltmore which we had a lot of stuff planned. We also love the fire pit ...It was very nice place and would book it again.

Stayed in mid October and almost peak foliage. Cabin is exactly as described- in the woods with swimming pond ( too cold for us to use!). It’s rustic so doors don’t always latch and toilet makes strange noises but very cozy with beautiful wood throughout. Perfect for our dog who gave it a 10 star rating. Cabin close to everything. Beds very comfortable. Michele was there to greet and give vacation suggestions.

The cabin was awesome, secluded yet close to everything. Beautiful setting, wildlife, pond and a horse in the meadow! Plenty of room and everything you need for a great time indoors and out. Big firepit outside was perfect for chilly spring nights. Cabin was clean, roomy and well stocked. Our hosts Michele & Don were very accommodating with great communication. We couldn't have asked for nicer hosts, they were great! Biltmore, downtown, BBQ & breweries all super close. Great week in Asheville, we will be back!

This house was just as advertised, a quiet getaway from downtown Asheville. The property is gorgeous and is the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy the night sky of Asheville after a day at the breweries. Michelle was a fantastic host! Even calling me a day or two prior to give me a rundown of the property and ask if I had any questions. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Check in was easy and owners were helpful with advice for area activities. The location was great for Biltmore Estates downtown shops and Restaurants. Outdoor grounds were beautiful and enjoyed watching the wildlife. Reason for the 2 star review was the cabin itself was very musty and damp. We had to empty the dehumidifier at least once a day and it didn’t keep up. The filter was completely covered in dust and dirt and I took it off and went outside to broom it off. The floors had lots of dead ant carcasses in all the rooms. One of the twin beds creaked with every move. The master bathroom shower had some issues with the faucet not being properly labeled for on and off or hot and cold. Over all the cabin was not cleaned well and we actually checked out 2 days early because of all these issues.

Met with five friends at this location that had 20 full acres to explore. Awesome fire pit! Beautiful interior that gives a great mountain/cabin feel. Inside was built from wood from the wood mill across the street. $12 Uber to downtown. Down the street from Highland Brewing. We will be back was a great time with a lot of space and on-site activities.

We stayed at the cabin for a week an it couldn't have been better! Perfect location, secluded but yet close & convenient to the Biltmore, breweries & downtown Asheville. Owners Michele & Don were great, excellent communication! They gave us great suggestions and tips for travel around the area. Super friendly and accommodating! Then property itself on a beautiful setting complete with a pond, firepit and horse in the meadow. Cabin very clean and had everything we needed and more! So awesome having morning coffee looking out over the pond at the horse and wild turkeys in the meadow! Thanks Michele & Don, we will get back! 10 STARS********** Kelly & Julia

We couldn’t have had a better experience and stay. From the frozen pond to the 20 acres to run on. The cabin was cozy and we had more than enough room for all four of us.
We loved the true wood burning stove and the wood finishing throughout the house. It was central located to downtown Asheville and skiing. Thank y’all so much

Michelle and Don were super hosts.. Check-in was flawless, the place was exactly as listed on the website. The grounds were neat and well kept. Abundant firewood for the fireplace and outside fire pit. We enjoyed the pond and the outdoor area as much as possible. . (Hurricane Ian) was present during much of our stay. Don checked in on us and invited us to tour the sawmill across the way. It was a perfect stay and we will be back.

The host is very personable, and attentive. The property is well stocked with the things we needed. The property feels very secluded, despite being only a few minutes from restaurants, groceries, and breweries. Downtown is only about 15 minutes away, and we didn’t really encounter major traffic problems between there and the cabin. Well worth it.

Great location for exploring Asheville
This property was fantastic for our family of five (adults and older teens plus two dogs). It's only ten minutes from downtown, but it's secluded and feels like it's up in the mountains all by itself. Lots of good food and beer in the area if you don't want to go downtown. Working with the owners was seamless and they were fantastic to deal with. Definitely a jewel in the Asheville area. We had a great weekend!

Cute!!
The house was in a great location, quiet, and had a fully stocked kitchen! The house is dog friendly so could use a deep clean but was a great space for relaxing with an easy 10 mins ride to Asheville attractions.

Great home base for Asheville and hiking
We came to pick apples hike and do breweries and this was perfect for our family. We did breakfast and dinner at the house with the fully stocked kitchen and did wonderful day trips around the area. The pit and porch our family loved.

In the pond
Nice private location with a swimming pond. Landlords were great and very helpful after a storm that did in the power. Near to lots of things to do in Asheville

Great getaway on beautiful property
Stayed here with my wife, 4 year old and 1 year old. The pictures do not do the property justice. The property is beautiful and has everything you need. From rafts, to fishing poles (we caught several bass). My 4 year old loved swimming in the pond and jumping off the dock. So convenient to everything in Asheville.. Hillman brewery is a couple miles down the road and a nice little coffee shop is just over a mile away. So much fun was had here we did not want to leave!

Amazing and wonderful
This house is amazing. The location is perfect - you feel like you’re in the woods, but you can go grab takeout super easily. The house is stunning - I will miss the master shower so much. The internet was great - we ran a VPN and virtual school all day with no problems for anyone. The fire pit, the pond, the supplies…including fishing poles and pool noodles for the pond. We couldn’t ask for more. We will absolutely be back. Our dog adored hanging out and running laps around the pond.

Great time relaxing.
Everything was perfect! Would stay here again and hope to! Spent every evening by the fire watching the sun set and stars come out. Watched deer eat the corn from a distance. Listened to the symphony of the peepers. Fed the horse in the field in front of the house. Fished in the pond. The owners are so nice and helpful. Watched them working at their mill. Our dog was welcome too! So close to everything in Asheville. Loved it!

A charming place in beautiful Asheville
We had a great time spending the holiday's with our family in this charming cabin. It's well located very close to parks, nature, hiking but also downtown Asheville. This place has lots of outdoor space for the kids to play. Inside is super warm and has beautiful views . Our overall experience was wonderful, we will probably be returning in the future!

Great Stay
This property feels like you are way out in the country yet just a 10 minute drive downtown Asheville and maybe 20 minutes to the airport. Neat, clean and comfortable, what more could you ask for! May not have a view of the mountains but sitting in rocking chairs on the front porch looking at the trees and swim pond make up for that. Michelle was friendly and accommodating as she filled us in on places to see, places to eat and what local activities were going on during our stay. Absolutely will come back to this property on our return trip to Asheville.

Just what we needed
In a time of COVID, we needed a chance to get away for a few days and this fit the bill. Accompanied by my 90 year old mother, my adult children and I stayed here for three nights. It is conveniently located, has a limited number of stairs and is all on one floor. The location made it easy to get to all the destinations we intended to visit, and the swimming pond was an added bonus. We felt well informed before we arrived, the kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed seeing the horse, deer, heron, duck and other wildlife. The property is off a fairly busy road (limiting my long walks), but we were not bothered by the nearby sawmill at all. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and just what we needed.

Cute and private cabin
We traveled with our teens and my parents. This cabin was close to everywhere we wanted to go in Asheville, yet had a secluded feeling. The site was great - back from the road, with a nice fire pit area, rocking chairs on the porch, and swimming pond. We mostly used the pond for fishing, but did go in a couple of times. The owner was very helpful about recommending restaurants and activities and respected our privacy after the initial welcome. The inside is much as you see in the pictures. It was enough space for our party of six, especially with the outdoor areas. Asheville is centrally located to great hikes in along the Blue Ridge Parkway and in state or national parks, so there was opportunity for socially distanced activities. We also were able to go tubing on the French Broad River by using two cars and following the shuttle bus. Fun and relaxing trip!

Cute Cabin in the Woods
This is a great little spot for a getaway. The outdoor setting is perfect. Great setting out front to have a view of the water, enjoy a campfire or enjoy the nightly visit from the neighbor's horse. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. I would bring my own pillows next time because i have neck problems. The pillows are old and not very supportive. But honestly that's my biggest complaint. The owners, Don and Michelle, are beyond helpful and responsive.

Family time
Perfect mix of room to roam while still being close to Asheville. Kids loved the swimming pond and spent more time there then in the house. The house is lovely and we'll equipped.

Short but relaxing stay
Kids totally enjoyed the pond while we overlooked from the fire pit. House was clean and kitchen was stocked; better than any other place we have stayed. Owner was nice, responsive and helpful. The property was clean and organized but rated cleanliness down a bit since it is an older home that has been renovated and there is still a bit of a musty smell if that bothers you. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and would stay again.

Relaxing retreat.
Traveled in for my mom's 70th birthday. Despite all the COVID-19 chaos closing everything down, we had a wonderful time just at the cabin. It is quiet, beautiful and relaxing. There is no need for anything else when you can sit on the porch and watch hawks, turkey, ducks, fish in the pond, and other wildlife. We will be back.

Beautiful home on a beautiful property
This property is the perfect place to spend a weekend near Asheville. The cabin is very cozy with a beautiful kitchen and a fireplace inside and outside. It feels remote even though its only a short drive to get into Asheville. Highly recommend this property.

Perfect cabin getaway while staying close to attractions!
Our group of 7 had a wonderful time on this property! The hosts were friendly and helpful. They stopped by to say hello to our group and provided great hiking recommendations when we were in a pinch for time. They also set up a fire pit so we could easily start a bonfire upon our return. Easily accessible to downtown, hiking and the Biltmore. Though we could have spent more time at the house just sipping coffee and playing corn hole and had an equally great time. Would highly recommend for a group that wants options during their Asheville stay.

Relaxing Getaway
The property was everything we had hoped for, and so much more. The experience was like having your own personal cabin to getaway and relax. Convenient to downtown Asheville, easy access to major highways so you could visit other area attractions. Michele & Don (owners) stopped by for a brief, but nice visit.

The house was exactly what we were looking for. The owners were very friendly and assisted with any questions we had throughout the weekend. Around a $10 Uber to downtown Asheville.
