The facilities were basic but there was everything we needed, more or less - hair dryer, soap etc. The location was fantastic, and close to a cafe with a fantastic breakfast (the hotel does not do breakfast). The beds were really comfy, and the room was warm (too warm for my friend, in fact!).

We had to ask for clean towels. There was really nowhere to hang up wet towels, which is why we asked for more. There wasn't a lot of space to put clothes in a room designed for 3 people, though it didn't feel at all cramped.

Friendly staff, great in every way for the money

Location of the hotel is great. It is silent area not far from main tourist places - 10-20minutes of walking. Very friendly staff. A small shop is in the neighbourhood.

No shelfs in the room and hangs in the bathroom. Perhaps due to a low season breakfast was not available, but there are a lot of cafes around. Sound insulation could be better - you can hear walking of guests leaving above.

Value for money was really good. Big room, enough space for two people. Our expectations were rather exceeded since the price was cheaper compared to other accommodations and we were expecting something more casual.

Only thing I can point out is that we had a family staying next door and from time to time we heard baby's crying pretty loud, but it was only a few times so I wouldn't really consider it a shortcoming.

Very friendly staff, well located

It feels more like a hostel than a hotel. Which is fine but it being called Hotel de Munck and for that price, we were expecting more. The floor was dusty and some surfaces sticky and the shower was flooding the bathroom. When we asked for the room to be cleaned (their policy is to just do it on demand, which I like because it's sustainable), only towels and bedsheets were changed and the toilet was cleaned. Still dusty room and sticky surfaces. Defo not how it looks on the pictures and too expensive for what it is.

Really helpful and friendly staff. Changed our room upon request as it was not ideal for our situation. Very close to public transport and the main areas of Amsterdam.

The room was tight for a group of 3. Bathroom really tiny.

Absolutely amazing staff and always got what we needed. Location was great and minutes away from all the bars shops and restaurants. Highly recommended and would definitely go to hotel de munck again

great location with good facilities. bathroom, beds and TV all great quality.

Great location. 17 min walk to the museum 'square' ( Rijks Museum, Van Gogh museum, MOCO museum and many many others). Also close to the tram and metro station, @8min away from Rembrand square (lots of bars and a few clubs). The room was clean and warm.

Poor choices for breakfast. I think they had just cereals and rice crisps, so I would advice not to choose breakfast included options, but rather go to the coffee bars (there are a few of them close by).
