(+)El complejo es muy chulo, con jardines muy bien cuidados por todas partes. (+)Las habitaciones son amplias y están limpias. (+)El buffet tanto para el desayuno como para la cena son muy completos con mucha variedad, además el personal del restaurante, en concreto Gustavo, fue muy amable y atento durante toda la estancia.
(+)Las terrazas de cada habitación con las tumbonas y sillas son un acierto.
(-)El agua de la piscina está muy caliente, lo que imposibilita tomar un baño para refrescarse. En invierno cuando no hace tanto calor es comprensible, pero ahora en verano no.
(-)Cuando el hotel está lleno el buffet se satura un poco y la falta de higiene a la hora de servirse de algunos huéspedes termina por desalentar a uno de coger los platos más expuestos.
(-)Otro punto negativo es el tabaco, en nuestro caso un huésped fumaba en el pasillo al lado de nuestra habitación, por lo que cuando estábamos sentados afuera respirábamos constantemente el humo de sus cigarros.

Beautiful hotel, well-positioned in puerto del carmen on the newer side of town. Close enough to walk to all the bars & restaurants.
The staff here are superb & can't do enough for you.
This hotel is exceptionally clean & well kept.

We booked las Costa’s for 4 of us including our parents who celebrated their 80th birthday during covid. How happy we were to be upgraded to full sea view and champagne on arrival.
located on the beach in a quiet area of playa del Carmen, but a taxi was only a few euros to the old town or if you like walking there are lovely sea views.
The rooms are large and ours was on the ground floor which opened out onto a lovely balcony.
The staff were so nice especially on reception. They couldn’t do enough for us.
We only went for breakfast option which had everything you could think of from fry to vegetarian options porridge pancakes continental breakfast fruit.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you like a bit more up market and peace and quiet.

The movement of furniture during room turn around early in the morning was quite disruptive.

Breakfast and dinner excellent with fresh and varied food. The staff had clearly a good working atmosphere and this reflected as great service. Kids loved the pool and proximity of the ocean. also evenings shows were a hit. Well-kept property.

Excellent breakfast and friendly cook. Dinner had a good and varied selection.Room size was very good.Heated pool.
Friendly and helpful staff. Evening entertainment was generally good but the pillars sometimes made it difficult to see the acts.
There was breakfast cava only on a Sunday whereas in all other 4 star hotels we have stayed in it is there for a bucks fizz to start your day everyday.The dining room staff did not appear to have good knowledge of the wine list prices and overcharged us on two occasions but to be fair this was corrected at reception as we checked out. There was no lift from reception to the lower floor amenities ,pool and dining room.

The overall experience was eventually good, the waiting staff and reception staff were friendly and remembered who you were, which gives it a personal touch, we stayed at the RIU across the road in july and the staff don’t even look at you.
So the staff at the lasCosta’s are friendly and welcoming, they work very hard.
The NYE gala was amazing, excellent food, drink and entertainment.
Overall a good hotel in a good location, I would stay there again in a room with the sun, I would feel safe staying there alone.
We stayed at this hotel for a week from 29th Dec.
We were initially put in a room with no view other than a white wall and no sun all day, not even an hour , which was very disappointing, as we do like to sit on the Balcony or terrace in the sun for an hour or so.
We complained and was Met with some resistance however eventually we were given a better room.
My son stayed in the room with no sun at any point of the day.

The staff were excellent and the view from the room across the beach to the sea was amazing.
The air conditioning appears to be linked by an open pipe with the adjacent room which means you can clearly hear any conversation in the next room. Not much fun if the people next door shout rather than talk to each other!

The pool is very nice, and the location is perfect, right beside the beach and set back from the main road. The buffet dinner and breakfast are well worth using. Lots of choice and lovely quality food. I am a vegetarian and there are plenty of options to choose from.
