Kettles is a great location to Dublin airport! The family room was large, perfect for organizing our luggage to fly out the next day. Bathroom was large and comfortable. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was an extra charge, but very reasonable and delicious! We also tested out the restaurants desserts the night before...there's nothing better than Ireland's sweets, and food in general!!

Most disappointing was the food. Definitely the worse food we had during our 12-day stay in Ireland. After dinner, we skipped having breakfast there. No other dining alternatives located nearby. The location was convenient to the airport but it was located on very small and heavily traveled room -- made our last day of travel more challenging than we had expected.

Though the restaurant attached to the hotel was lovely and had great food, THIS WAS THE WORST HOTEL STAY OF MY LIFE. I never slept all night. I woke from something crawling over me. My feet felt on fire. In the morning I rolled back sheets and found black-ish dots. I took a photo and blew it up and clearly saw a brown bug with wings. I was headed to the airport in minutes and had to bag clothes and find disinfectant sprays. The manager took my photos and said he'd send me a refund. I guessed he was putting me off. I was later sent a letter that they hired an extermination crew to check their hotel and no bed bugs found and they weren't refunding me. I was given no evidence of this. I paid for a steamer when I returned home to Canada and spent the last 1.5 days of vacation steaming and drying all my luggage contents and suitcases for my child and me. Also, before the bed bug incident, there was no hot water for a shower. The receptionist had to fix the boiler. It took 2 hrs to get hot water. there was no heat in the room all night - in Ireland in late September. What an awful place.

Given the reviews I had read, I thought it would have been more convenient for the airport. As I didn't have time for breakfast, it wasn't the best choice for me. Dark windy roads late at night and early in the morning. Not really a reflection on the place.. just not suitable for me in the future.
