Well when you travel for business sometimes you dont even think about the food because of a daily stress, anyhow those few minutes when i approach the buffet i find many excellent food display on it. well presented and superb test , from Breakfast, the churros coffe shop, to the Chinese Restaurant and the Ocean restaurant where i had the chance to eat in the 4 F.B. outlet , superb quality of food and great service everywhere

actually nothing maybe that you have only two elevator , sometimes a huge number of people waiting for long time , but i believe that is not easy to build a new elevator in a such old building

The location, breakfast, and the room were very good. Overall, the hotel was beautiful.

During the first two days, the housekeeping staff were not doing the job properly. They were irresponsive. They left the room without emptying the bin, changing the used tea cups and vacuuming the room. The bath mats were not provided. Toilet rolls were not sufficiently provided. Needed to request them after ringing the guest relation desk several times.

Pros: The rooms were in good condition and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was amazing - best I’ve ever had as was the dinner. Room service was very prompt.

Cons: Not as modern as I thought it would be. The DJ at the pool plays until 10pm which makes it very noisy in the rooms. They charged us for a stain on the towel which didn’t feel right

An outstanding beautiful property in a convenient location.

Carefully check all charges & food/drink bills as our group was dramatically overcharged on numerous occasions. They are very happy & go that extra mile to rectify situations but you must be vigilant.

As a person who has travels quite often to Sri Lanka, this very visit was incredibly memorable. The moment you step out of the airport, one of their representative is eagerly waiting to receive you with the brightest smile, once reaching the hotel, a quick check-in is done by the front desk team (huge shout-out to, Amjad) The room is spacious, where ever I travel, Rooms are not the first priority however I would recommend for minor touches to make it "wow" let's get to Food & Beverages, oh my god! The food is delicious but my favorite thing was the service, I truly experienced the Sri Lankan Hospitality. The Team in OCEAN was just out of this world, the food is just mouth watering, Thank you so much Tharindu for taking an amazing care of our last evening, you are not just a star, you are a SUPER STAR. I will definitely return to have a meal in OCEAN. Yes, I can go on and on about how Grand my stay with Kingsbury Colombo was and is, I can't thank each and every team member there enough for the amazing time, Thank you so much and my sincere apologies for not remembering any names but you all are there as well. see you all soon.

Well once we reach at the hotel around 3PM rooms aren't ready. though we have inform to hotel that reach at 2pm and hotel confirm the check in time. then after 45 min the guy at the reception (Mithun) said two rooms are ready but at different floors. (initially booked two rooms together) we agreed and went there. then our bags went missing about 20 min. we had meeting at 4pm but once we ready and left the hotel around 4.30pm. meeting had to postponed. overall really unpleasant situation.

The location is the only good thing

extremely rundown hotel, incompetent management, subpar food and variety at buffet, no AC in lobby elevators or restaurant. We visited the hotel in 2017 and when we came back in 2023 we were extremely disappointed.

The hotel is lovely overall. The restaurants on site are fabulous, the dinner buffet in particular was fantastic value for money with lots of choice and good quality food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed with a small child and they were fantastic with her.

Some facilities such as the swimming pool are starting to look a little worn.

The staff was amazing. Food was exceptional. Room was clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

Always my Fav. Place in Colombo i came every month for 4-10 days to stay in Kingsbury. All Staffs are so wonderful. From Bellboys to Honeybeach staff or Harbourcourt Staffs, even Housekeeping. The Kingsbury is in an excellent location for all the sites of Colombo. It also has great views of the Fort and new Port City. It's a busy bustling hotel we many local guests and weddings and events taking place. Apparently it was wedding season and the first set of weddings for 3 years since the start of the pandemic. We had nice comfortable room with sea view.

Unfortunately, the hotel is not only very busy, but noisey from the music from the pool, which goes on until 11.30pm and wedding recpetions on the 10th floor which went on until pass 1pm. However, as soon as we complained the music stopped. The music is the only thing that's spoiles the hotel. This would definitely be our go-to hotel, but the music late into the night really spoiled it for us.

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable and offered a great view of the city. We ordered room service which was promptly delivered and the food was good.

Room service had not been properly performed. We only had one set of towels and the kettle was broken. The body lotion dispenser didn't work. We asked for fresh towels which didn't come for a couple of hours.

Overall stay at the Kingsbury was very good. Priyantha & Rohitha in Guest Relations were very kind & so helpful to us as we checked in. The Breakfast buffet was a very good spread (as always) and Chef Jayasinghe made the best best hoppers ever! The shorteats at the Churros Cafe on the ground floor was SO SO good - especially their Ribbon cake. Lastly - the most memorable is DJ Ishan at the Honey Club who was absolutely superb!!!! Please keep him coming back :)
