"I booked a bed on Monday and reached the place on Tuesday night from the airport. The person at the reception said they didn't have any space to accommodate me, even though they confirmed my stay. He said the amount was not charged and asked me to find another room. However, the hotel charged me, and I am not getting any response. Therefore, I recommend avoiding them.

Very good room for the price. Everything is reachable by foot, there are a lot of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. And special shoutout for the crew - they were suuuper friendly!

The place was perfectly adequate for my needs. very clean and exquisite 👍🏽

Nothing to say about Dislikes!!

Nothing. the hostel was empty, no backpackers and I understand why. I traveled different country, did lots of hostels and that was the worst I have been to.

first the room ceiling, the aircon and walls were with moisture on it, there was a dead cockroach inside the toilet. I am easy so I thought that would be ok, it’s not always easy to keep an hostel perfectly clean but seemed to be alright to live here. But the main problem was that in my bed, (last floor) were little ants that I did not see at first and that were biting me as soon as I went in the bed, making me very itchy. I had no choice but to stay as my flight arrived at 1am. When I discovered that, no one to be found. In the morning wanting to canceled the week that I had paid in advance, they said to me that it was impossible and that they would not proceed to a refund but that I was welcome to stay. Dirty is another word that goes perfectly with this hostel. The kitchen was unusable, dust, moisture on the kitchen stuff, dead cockroach on the cupboards and very messy with dirty pots everywhere. At the end had to not sleep for one night, pay one week of rent where I did not stay, and spend my time in a empty dirty place. I only stayed 7hours there but that was way enough to not be willing to stay.

The location was ideal, one quick bus or tuktuk from Colombo. The receptionist was extremely lovely, he spotted us on the street and guided us in, reassuring us about the power outages, lighting some candles which was lovely. We were a group of 3 and requested to be all in the same room and they were lovely enough to give us a 4-person dorm to ourselves. it came with towels which was very helpful for our stay. A great stay if you’re just passing through, cooking facilities were basic, shower and toilet are there, however quite basic, but all you need for a quick stay. After departing I had realised I had left my speaker in the room, they were kind enough to call me to let me know and offered to keep it safe until I can return to Colombo to collect it. Overall a happy stay.

the staff member was lovely, very helpful. the upstairs area could be nice if kept a little cleaner by guests or a good cleaner. Can cook (dirty though) and plenty of fridge space. Cheap place, comparatively. Can meet other guests.

the rooms have no windows, just a rectangular concrete structure. bed was ok. Guests left a mess in kitchen and lounge regularly. Grubby (so either tell them or get a good cleaner). Electricity in kitchen blew a fuse if two appliances used at once.
