There is nothing to like about this property.Horrible place.

Everything. It was over priced, dirty, last had a lick of paint god knows when. The cutlery was dirty, the floor dirty, the pots and pans dirty and there was dust on the tv and other places. None of the 20 plates where the same make.Nasty place and shame on Booking.com for having it on your website.Book this place at your peril.

I liked the proximity of the hotel to the Hauptbahnhof

The location is quite good, close to public transport and attractions.

Way too many bad things .. Although it is mentioned that the staff speaks more languages they were not able to speak a word with us. Upon arrival the receptionist was in a phone call, which sounded a privat phone call and ignored us to finish her talk. Once we got to our room there was an insane smell of smoke, once we mentioned this the answer was that it is a non smoking room but people smoke inside anyways and they can not give us anything else- this of course was all done through google translate, unable to get a person we can talk to or understand us. The receptionists solution was to open a the windows which is a joke.. There was no willingness to help at all. After complaining to booking.com and trying to get to talk to anyone 2 days before our check out they randomly came to our room to offer a room change at this point we of course had the windows open day and night which did not help the place and smell, and due to no previous communication we were not able to just move easily.. We got no compensations, apologies or anything at all- because according o them they offered us to move- of course they forgot that this happened mid stay and no-one cared until then- they thought is it fair that we spend half of our stay in a smoky room and they said it was our decision not to move, meanwhile we asked for this the first day where we met with the "open the window" solution.. Totally unbelievable.. Not to mention, that place has a different name then the advertised and there is also no water pressure in the shower. All in all after many travels and staying in several places around the world, I would not suggest this place to anyone.

The hotel is selling their room as "Ark am hauptabahnof" but there's no mention of this name in the property building which is actually named as "Central inn". They have given me hand written invoice! It's a very old building lacking any sort of modern amenities. My room was on 4th floor, juxtaposed by two service rooms, quite oddly placed. Three keys were needed to enter from main door at ground level to the 4th floor corridor and then to room. After returning hotel at night, I found the 4th floor corridor peach dark (which was really unexpected and scaring). In that dark, I needed to open the corridor door to get in. The room itself was unsafe. My cap was missing from the room. I reported that to the lady at reception. With her poor English, she constantly tried to convince me that I had dropped it outside. I even told her to check CC tv footage that I entered hotel with the cap. But she kept on arguing. However, loosing a cap is not a big issue, but if such sort of snatching happens, it becomes a matter of safety and security. I later realised that there were many bad reviews about the hotel. All of them had similar concerns like me. I wonder how Booking.com still allows this property on their webpage. It's a question of their ignorance as well!

Room was alright but little noisy at night like people were working downstairs. Location is excellent and walking by from central station.
