Magnifique endroit idéal pour faire une pause lors de la visite de la vallée du Douro

Beautiful facility, quiet village but a central cafe for a cold beer and people watching. Daniella and Manuel were very warm and welcoming. The dinners with/without wine tastings were very convivial and informative. A nice opportunity to meet with travelers from all over the world. A must-stay!! 😍😍💕💕💕
Sometimes it wasn’t obvious how to order drinks/tapas.

Well curated friendly and welcoming
Absolutely nothing ! Sensational place

The dinner and the wines were delicious and the staff were friendly and pleasant. You sort of have to eat there if you want to drink as not many other places around that aren’t driving distance and even then they ain’t great.
The room is very small and basic. The pool is nice but no loungers. You’re not really near anywhere unless you drive. It would be a really relaxing place to stay if only the room was nicer…no windows, and not much to it.

A very beautiful facility with traditional Portugese architecture, surrounded by vineyards. A very nice swimming pool. Located in a wonderful village, surrounded by vineyards. A nice breakfast and polite staff.
The room had virtually no windows and therefore was dark. Not allowed to use own drinks and food in the room and on premises overall. The room would have been adequate size, but 1/3 of it was occupied by the bathroom.

I liked everything about the property

Being up in the hills in a very old village was lovely. Enjoyed strolling the cobblestone streets !
Dinner at the property was excellent!

Highly recommend this stay as an intimate alternative to the large 'touristy' options. Lovely facilities and great to meet Manuel and the team. Food was superb.
4.0
The vineyard and being up in the Douro village, albeit a village bereft of residents and children now.
The bedroom is the poorest we experienced journeying through Portugal. No air as there are no windows, blank white walls, no pictures, mirror, no stand to unpack suitcase, cheap shelf with one green teabag and no spoon. More like basic student accommodation ready to put your own stamp on. Poolside, warped decking. no chairs or loungers or plants.€45 each for dinner, their wines but plain soup, salmon, creme brulee. Come on, you can do better than this!

unique setting, high quality finishes, ambiance
breakfast was uninspired. wine tasting experience at dinner was unexceptional. finding payment had to be cash was a surprise

The surroundings were great and the main house was a historical gem. The area for relax was quite beautiful and the town nearby was quite authentic.
The room was very small and the services were quite limited. Could have used a little more hospitality and care.

Dinner with wine testing and explanations given by Manual were excellent.

a historic property with 21 century amenities. the location is deep in the Douro valley amid vineyards. the owners and staff were most helpful and accommodating. they were very personable and eager to help guests have the best possible experience in this amazing part of Portugal

Manuel, the owner of the property, is the perfect “landlord”. He is very kind and friendly and does whatever he can to make you feel at home. His staff is very kind and helpful, too! The atmosphere in the dining room is really nice, with great soft music in the background! I definitely recommend this location!

This is a wonderful place to stay set among the vineyards. The room was very clean spacious and comfortable. The pool and gardens are very relaxing. Our host Manuel was very helpful and accommodating.
I would recommend the 6.5 KM hike to Pinhao through the vineyards.

We were taken care of immediately. The chef who was supposed to come was unable to come that night so one of the staff arranged for us to have this incredible 4 course meal at a nearby restaurant and arranged a cab. She was extremely helpful and also provided us a complimentary bottle of wine for the inconvenience. She was amazing and I wish I could recall her name but she checked up on us multiple times to make sure we had everything. She also arranged a wine tasting and lunch. I highly recommend this cute wine hotel!

A perfect hotel in a lovely village. The staff went out of their way to make sure all our needs were taken care of. We definitely would come back if in Potugal again.

this beautiful location is one of the few remaining historical locations to stay at! the service was impeccable, breakfast great and the staff where kind and helpful!

Beautiful location, quaint village. Friendly host, cute dogs. Very clean, beds super comfortable. We were free to meander around the vineyard. Too cool to use the pool. Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, cereals, bread, cheese and meat, and eggs made to order.
Website not very helpful. We were unable to figure out whether a wine tasting was even available to us or how to arrange dinner. We were offered wine after our arrival ( which was good) but learned little about the grapes or the process. Found out about the tasting room and the house museum above when we saw the tour groups coming in as we were leaving. Disappointed that the house dinner was unavailable as the cook was absent. Our host was kind to arrange reservations at a restaurant in a nearby town, but the food was not that good.

The nice big comfy bed, friendly owner who gave us a tour of his house, gorgeous setting among vineyards, nice wine and very nice breakfast.
We couldn't use the pool which was being cleaned after a storm. It was hot, and a pool was one of the main reasons for choosing it so that was disappointing, particularly as it was twice the price of our accommodation the night before. If this is a common problem, there should be warning about it to manage expectations.
Not being able to eat dinner there the night we stayed, and not being informed of it until the day before. While we appreciated the dinner booking made for us, it meant we had to leave for dinner, which we'd have preferred not to, and pay extra for a cab etc. Our dinner was nice but we had been looking forward to eating at our lovely accommodation due to the beautiful surroundings and convenience.

Very friendly staff. Good choice for breakfast. Good location for nearby attractions.
Would have preferred more traditional decor in room. Modern decor did not suit the location even though it was comfortable and clean.

A beautiful property, quiet, interesting history, very welcoming by Manuel and the wonderful staff. Lovely common room with great breakfast. We had tour of the old house followed by an amazing dinner by candlelight.
There was nothing we didn’t like!

Everything about this place is great. The room was wonderful and modern in a 1600's building. The bath was large and well appointed. We had snacks and drinks in the lounge one night and relaxed around the fire awhile. Had the dinner with wine the next night- 6 tastings of their estate wine with a great dinner. The property is beautiful with vineyards, fruit trees and pool too. The town is charming and a pleasant walk from the property. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast was fabulous with fresh fruit, cheeses, yogurt, juice and eggs made to order.

Location is exceptional.
Good portuguese dinner with wine pairing (1 menu).
Great staff.
Rooms are not very light (no window, natural light coming from glass door).
Breakfast is good but you could expect a bit more for the price.

The folks taking care of us, Daniella, Rita, and Anita were OUTSTANDING! We stayed for four nights, and each day found things to do (and never started our car while there) from walking down to the river, to a couple hour boat ride along the Douro River. If you walk down to the river, for sure take a taxi back up the HILL! The lodging is clean, safe, and due to not a huge place with tons of guest, it made for an intimate time. The food is outstanding, from the three course dinners starting and ending with the property’s own port, to the tapas if you are not into late eating, great wine and port you can enjoy anytime, and the breakfasts are worth the accommodations alone....eggs the way you want them, homemade bread made an hour before about a block away (and still hot some mornings)...nights were relaxing with wine and just enjoying the fireplace. We loved our stay, but the three people we mentioned made it that much more enjoyable. To Daniella, Rita, and Anita....Thanks.
Nothing...enjoyed everything.

Breakfast was fantastic! Fresh fruit, eggs as you like them, fresh baked bread and plenty of coffee!
Beds and linens are super comfy. The outdoor seating areas amid the vines and fruit trees are beautiful. Peaceful and welcoming.
Staff are friendly and exceptionally helpful.

Wonderfully place just outside of pinhao, Daniella the manager is amazing

The place was really magical, an historical place that was converted with fine but also sophisticated taste. The breakfast was really healthy, and the quality for the bread was outstanding. The swimming pool and walking on the vineyard was really pleasing. The staff is friendly and because they also produce wine, they share really nice suggestions to end a pleasing evening with a nice glass.
Lastly, the hotel is located on a nice and friendly village, which makes the experience even nicer.
With such an outstanding experience, the dinner left a little to be desired. It was well prepared and tasty, but it was not as special as the rest of the experience.
Also based on the prices and food saw on the area, it is not as good value as the remaining offering.
