Staying at Casa do Romezal was the highlight of our vacation! Margarida and her Brother Luis were excellent hosts who went to great lengths to ensure our stay was special! Was great learning about the history of the vineyard and tasting the excellent wines and olive oil they produce. This experience definitely exemplified everything good about Portugal. My wife and I highly recommend Casa do Romezal!!!

Loved everything about this property!

Margarida is a wonderful host, full of tips for visits, restaurants, things to do. The porch of the B&B has a beautiful view over the valley, ideal to watch the sunset. We had a large room, with a comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet is really nice, with freshly cut fruit, and a variety of local cheeses and hams. Highly recommended!

Exceptional. Our stay at Casa do Romezal was a highlight of our 3 weeks in Portugal. The view from the Casa (and the pool!) was breathtaking. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with an assortment of homemade goods. But what really made the experience special was meeting Margarida and Luis, the brother and sister who have devoted themselves to the Casa and the vineyards as a way of honouring their father's legacy. Margarida was a warm and friendly host who made us feel very much at home, while Luis shared his vast knowledge of the Port industry as part of our Port & wine tasting. We felt priviledged to be able to walk in their vineyards.

Absolutely stunning. Not only the room, the patio, the guest facilities, the views, the breakfast with homemade cakes and jams, but especially Margarida and her family.

Superb location. Panoramic all weather balcony with very comfortable seating. Relaxing and calm ambiance. Excellent continental buffet style breakfast. Margarida is a very knowledgeable and friendly hostess and went above and beyond answering all my queries about our two day stay. She put us in touch with an excellent local taxi service, Tavares Taxi run by Antonio who was always on time.

Pretty isolated location which is part of the attraction and, as we did not hire a car the taxi service was ideal and good value. We were not aware that the wine tours had to be pre booked in advance, but luckily a cancellation allowed us to complete the tour and tasting.

The host was absolutely amazing to us.

Homely feel. Beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable common areas - living room with a fire place, dining area. Rooms are cozy. Property is peaceful, quiet and tranquil. The hosts are very friendly and make sure we feel at home. Breakfast is amazing.

Nothing that we didn’t like. Would be nice to have a heater / radiator in the bathroom, although the rooms are perfectly warm. We had wine tasting and walking tour of the vinyard. would be also nice to have actual tour of how the wine is actually made / tour of the area where the wine is processed and aged.
