Charming hotel, conveniently located on a quiet street in the centre of town. The room and the hotel were both impeccable and we felt very safe and secure here with 24 hour reception. The rooftop was a highlight that you shouldn’t miss - we had it to ourselves everytime we went, and the views were gorgeous. Extra special thanks to Hernâni who was a very friendly and attentive host, always greeting us with a warm smile.

NO attempt on the part of the management of this hotel to accommodate my request to waive the booking fee - even though I offered to provide a doctor's certificate. Should the management reverse this decision and contact booking.com to provide me a refund, I will naturally update this review to one of complete satisfaction.

The location was perfect and the people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly.

The room smelled really bad and, even though it was more thoroughly cleaned upon my complaint, the smell was back the next day. Opening the windows was impossible once it faced the back of the building and the smell that came from there was even worst. The shower door wouldn’t close completely, so I had to be extra careful not to soak the entire bathroom and the mattress / pillows were not very comfortable. It felt as if the price was only due the hotel location and not at all for its comfort and / or facilities. The breakfast was also very poor. For 12 euros you can get a way more complete breakfast on the streets. My room also had corridor / stairs next to the wardrobe that lead to a door, facing the bed. I was told it was just a deposit and no one used that door, but I felt uncomfortable - especially because none of the photos show that. In fact, that wasn’t even the room I booked (I chose a standard double and was given the apartment), which they told me was an upgrade, but definitely didn’t feel like one. They alleged to be fully booked, so I was unable to go to the room I actually picked. The staff was nice, but very loud and my room was just below the breakfast room, so I was woken up every early morning with them getting everything ready.

Very central. In the heart of City centre..close proximity to old town and walking distance to the port from where you can get tours by jets or boats to see Benagil caves and ponta de Piedade.

It would be good to have a hot kettle in the room. all hotels provide it

The location is very near to the sea and town centre; with all it's shops, bars and restauarants.

I accept that this is a two star hotel but the standard is such that, for the price paid, a refurbishment is well overdue. The breakfast was, for me, below standard. Plenty of low quality meats and cheeses but no eggs. The dining room has some large round tables which limits the room to manoeuevre!
