The hotel was very unique and fun. The staff were very welcoming, had a bottle of water on arrival and an easy check in. Reception helped me book a taxi for the following day for the airport and were very helpful through out my stay. My room was very nice and I had a balcony which was quite big! Breakfast was very good and again the staff were very good. ( can't remember their names sorry!) If you don't do stairs this isn't the hotel for you but if like quirky and don't mind stairs then I very much recommend. It's very cental and only a short walk from the train station.

The position of the hotel was excellent. We had a lovely stay. Staff could not have been more helpful. Bed really comfortable. Beziers was beautiful. Definitely stay there again.

The owner was very kind and helpful the location was superb and i loved the charming decor and objets dotted about. See pics. My shower was excellent and the little terrace was fabulous.

This is a charming old building the walls are thin but it is very good value for money.

Certainly didn't like the location in the sketchy neighborhood, the poorly lit room, the construction across the street, the sewer stench in the room or the horrible owner.

Upon arrival, the sewer stench in the room was terrible. We turned on the fan, opened up the windows and left for dinner. During dinner, we decided we could not stay in the room for more than one night and decided to cancel the second night and move on to the next city. I contacted Booking.com support and let them know the state of the room. They tried to contact the owner but he never responded and support suggested I contact him directly. I didn't have to because he was waiting for us to return to the room at 10:00pm and yelled at us for contacting Booking directly, which I did because I booked through this site. He continued to yell at my husband and I while we were standing in the hallway of the hotel. I'm sure he disturbed all of the guests who could hear him and his tirade. We brought him into the room and he agreed it reeked of sewer. We let him know we'd be leaving in the morning. A good owner would have offered me 1/2 of my payment back and apologized. Especially after screaming at us and making us feel uncomfortable and frightened of him. He refused to refund any of our money. A good owner would reflect on his actions and the state of the room and decide if areas and attitudes are in need of improvement. A bad owner lashes out defensively and I'm sure he will lash out again in response to this review. He's in the wrong line of work if he can't tolerate some criticism. The water closet is tiny and anyone over 6'0" will have trouble closing the door when sitting on the toilet. The neighborhood is run down and sketchy and there is construction going on directly across the street. The room is poorly lit. Don't stay here. Stay closer to centre-ville. Not worth the cheaper price at all.

A quirky, small hotel well designed and furnished with interesting and unusual art and objects. Very characterful. Both members of staff we met were incredibly pleasant and helpful - they went way beyond the sort of functional attention you would normally get in a bigger hotel or one that is part of a chain.
