The location was perfect for our stay in the Algarve area. Perfect for 2 couples, but it would have been nice to have 2 showers. An oversight on our part, so we made due.

The apartment was well equipped, but it would be good to have some dish soap and some more comfortable patio chairs to enjoy the outdoor space.

On arrival Paulo was very helpful and made a great efforts to fulfill our wishes .Apartment very clean and comfortable

Terrible breakfast! It is ridiculous that the hotel proposes artificial orange juice instead of natural one, precut Dutch (?) Cheese, and so on! It is possible to find better and cheaper food elsewhere!

Both my husband and I had an amazing stay at the Placid Village. The rooms are of a very high standard and the staff cannot help you enough. We went in winter season and it was lovely and quiet and just what we needed. It was a short walk into Praia Do Carvoeiro which we enjoyed (you may need some training shoes for this). I cannot recommend Placid Village enough and we will be going back again very soon.

Everything was perfect. This is our second time staying at Placid Village and not our last, God willing.

Stayed here during Christmas so it was very quiet. We could've gotten into the pool during midafternoon when the pool water was warm enough to swim, unfortunately we hadn't packed our swimming costumes we though it was going to be cold but it wasn't , it was warm during the day and cooler at night. The villa is self was very clean,had everything we needed and the lovely cleaning lady came to clean everymorning. We all loved the breakfast, we requested for chicken instead of ham as we don't eat pork and they were happy to do so. We loved the Praia de Carvoeiro beach and the shops and restaurants around it. It was very hot and the water was warm surprised that it was their winter . It was very quiet calm an relaxing only a few families there. After relaxing on the beach we browsed the holiday shops around and we had dinner at the Kings Palace Indian Restaurant their food was delicious 😋 Because we visited in December most places were closed. Our taxi driver booked a session for the kids at the play centre which was 4 minutes drive away from the villa . Its called Radical Fun Centre, the kids loved it and there is also an outdoor play area it is a must visit. And the walk round the villa is breathtakingly beautiful, you see all the hills from there.

The apartment was very spacious and clean.

It is a bit further from the sea. Would take an half hour to walk (which you don't do with 30degrees or more). However if you have a rental car it is the perfect location. It is nice and quiet, enough parking space and easy to explore the rest of the Algarve from this central location.

Enjoyed every minute of our stay at Placid Village. Apartment was very spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. Pool area is lovely with plenty of sun loungers. A short walk to the nearest mini mart for essentials. Close enough to Carvoeiro to walk in and back, around 15 minutes. The manager was there for any queries and was very helpful. I would definitely return at some point. Thanks for a fabulous stay!

Self catering and beautiful finish

Great accommodation, very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back.

The kitchen could have a few more cooking utensils and a non-stick frying pan would be a bonus.

If you want a peaceful location, lots of space in clean, modern accommodation, beautifully decorated with a large, fully fitted kitchen, then this is the place for you. A twenty minute walk into the bustling town, which may prove challenging for some as it is a little hilly, but once there, there are lots of excellent restaurants, shops and a beach. We also walked to Centeanes beach (about 20 minutes walk), where there are also 100+ steps that lead you to wonderful viewpoints of Carvoeiro coastline. Also a ‘must do’ is the walk upwards along the coastal route from the town that takes you to the cliffs and the ‘sink holes’ in the rocks. We ate at ‘Le Cro’ for tapas. Certainly tapas with a difference and a great experience. We also tried three other town centre restaurants which were all excellent, but everything that you would need to prepare a meal is provided at Placid Village. Would absolutely recommend Placid Village! Friendly and helpful staff and wonderful accommodation. We will return!!

Should have some basic essentials in the kitchen such as salt pepper washing liquid etc or at least the option to have those at extra charge. In our room there was a bad smell from the dishwasher.

it’s on a hill outside of the main town about a 15 minute walk in. The immediate surroundings and gardens are somewhat sparse with limited views across to the sea.
