Conveniently located a short walk from the JR station. Quiet stay with all basic necessities included. Reception was helpful in keeping our luggage before check in and after for a few hours. It looked like a popular spot for people on business travels and the free buffet style breakfast was decent.

Even though check in time stated was up to midnight, staff had no complaints when we checked in after midnight due to a delayed flight. They also allowed us to leave our luggage with them after checking out as we were going away for a day before coming back to Wakayama again. Staff serving breakfast were friendly and nice. Location was great, only 3 mins walk from station.

Only 1 pillow per bed. I hoped to have 1 more 😂

Friendly staff, had valuable and unforgettable time spent in Wakayama thanks to Wakayama Urban Hotel. Arrived Wakayama at 9 AM and left the luggage at the lobby which made our day so much easier traveling around to sites. Located 2 mins walk from metro station, very visible from the metro entrance. Room was clean and tidy, breakfast was great.

The hotel was very close to the Wakayama train station. The check-in counter was on the ground floor which was very convenient. The lobby was spacious and grand. The hotel provided a complimentary Japanese newspaper. There were many choices, Japanese curry rice and Western style bread and butter, at the buffet style breakfast.

Breakfast was simple - Rice with curry, a few side dishes and bread. Would not want to eat this everyday but for a short stay it was nice to have something to eat early in the morning.

Nothing - The hotel was great and I loved the room. However the power outlets could be nearer to the bedhead, currently they were around midway down the bed.

the location is good, close to trainin station. It is easy to locate the hotel. The breakfast is great.

I booked a room with No view, actually it did not have window. The owner should mention it in room info.

Car parking is situated opposite to the hotel 1000 Yen/24 hour rate.

The location is right next to Wakayama Station making it central for traveling around the city.

The bed isn’t the most comfortable but that’s pretty normal in Japan.

Nice huge window with a city view. Tall ceilings and industrial style of the room was pretty cool.

I excitedly booked a smoking room and it really smelled like somebody was smoking there for years. Also it was not very clean. There were black hairs here and there. Fridge was pretty dirty. Air conditioner was super noisy, it was difficult to sleep. Overall everything was very old.

Location is great, rooms are great, staff are great, recommend 100%

Pillows and maybe breakfast. Die to corona there is no buffet available (and it is normal), but instead you will get Japanese breakfast, which is very unhealthy (oily sausages, super salty oily fish, many salty pickles, lots of rice, eggs).

Great location and nice breakfast.

The bed was quite small and we found dirty tissues on the floor when we arrived.
