Not communicated to us that there wasn’t a full breakfast on the Monday morning!

Promised a table by the fire & the bar menu. When we arrived were told no bar menu just a charcuterie board. It was lovely but had we been given the heads up sooner we would have made other arrangements!

A good sized room and a big comfortable bed. Very friendly helpful staff. We had a lunch special which was really good and filling. This is a very old hotel so you need to make some allowances for that. However the decor and furnishings are really something you can relax in on cold winter days in front of an open fire.

Raindrop shower was great but it did tend to flood the bathroom floor a bit.

James at Reception was excellent. The server at the bar was friendly and helpful. (Her manager was not. )

The shared bathrooms were not clean or well supplied. There were teabags in the room but no kettle. There were hardly any power points.

Gorgeous old building, great staff, great feel

That I could have a late check in and a late check out. This is a awesome hotel! I really liked it and great value for money! I’ll be back

All was great! The beds could be a bit more firm/comfy

Very comfy beds and pillows. Very large rooms with high ceilings meant rooms were cool. Attractively furnished and decorated. Breakfast was more than adequate and delicious.

No lifts so luggage had to be brought up. No wardrobes in either rooms was disappointing, though there were more than plenty hangers supplied.

The room was beautifully furnished and the property was lovely particularaly the lounge areas.

The mattress was not so comfortable
