It was comfortable and a nice room. Only a 10 minute walk to the centre.

The wifi didn’t work, ants in our room that didn’t go away even after the room was cleaned everyday, bathroom stank of smoke, the curtains didn’t do anything, no 24/7 access to the water, very loud very early in the morning, and we weren’t allowed to keep anything in the fridge in the common area even though there was no food provided apart from breakfast and no mini fridges in the room.

It’s quite a big place but the vibe is good. Friendly staff also recommended a tour with boats, which was great. We kept our luggage at the place after check-out and there was no problem. There is a small kitchen/restaurant and i think they also have a small shop. All in all everything you need for your stay in Bacalar.

The breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The kids loved the pool and the pancakes.

when we were there the shower didn’t get warm but maybe it has been resolved now.

Perfect place to rest in between other spots. Basic, but good enough for one or two nights.

The bed and pillows were comfortable. The area of the hotel was calm and the room was clean. However …

for me this hotel doesn’t have 3 stars standards, in our deluxe double room: - only one body towel and one hand towel (for two people !!!!! ) - no pool towels - only one roll of toilet paper and you have to ask if you need more ! our roll was almost over and they didn’t put a new one when they came to clean the room the next day, we had to ask for it. - no shampoo : only one very very very small bag of shampoo for 2 persons for 2 nights ! we ended up going to the grocery store to buy shampoo. The breakfast server didn’t speak english, only spanish. she didn’t have a care in the world that we couldn’t understand her. she would speak very very fast and just stares at us. we tried signing for her so we could understand each other but she made 0 effort to try to make us understand !! At check in they hand you remote controls for AC and TV and you have to bring them back for check out, would I steal remote controls? that was so weird. For me this hotel would be maximum 2 stars.

it’s fine but like everywhere the showers are heated by the sun, so sometimes no hot water in showers-not a big deal for us.

The stuff didn't seem to like answering tourist questions. Every question seemed to much, he even became angry when I asked for a locker. The garden with the pool was used for drying towels, which doesn't make it comfy for guests. During my stay there was a group which made the stay noisy. It is 10 mins. Walking distance from the centre.
