Six friends stayed So comfortably at the property. The managers were excellent with communication and so very kind! They provided a fun surprise welcome gift and made sure our stay was just wonderful. This house has SO much room. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Everything was wonderful, really. Thank you for helping make sure our stay was awesome. Would highly recommend this property!

We had a great stay at this Folly Beach house. It was big, clean, and the management team was super helpful. Everything was as described and the house was perfect for our group of 11 (with ages ranging from 8 months to 75!). The only thing I would say is that the WiFi was spotty throughout the house, but other than that I would highly recommend.

This property was exactly as described and pictured in the advertisement. My children and grandchildren all gathered here for my husband’s birthday. There were 12 total. Plenty of room for everyone. House was well equipped, immaculate, great location. Owner/property manager very easy and responsive to communicate with. Would definitely recommend this property and would book it again.

We enjoyed our stay. House was wonderful. The stairs to get into the house were a surprise as we didn’t remember seeing anything about having a lot of stairs to get into the residence.

The property was easy to find and the description of the property was very accurate. It accommodated our group of 6 women nicely and was enjoyed by all. We enjoyed the welcome bottle of wine and all the amenities! The weather was absolutely gorgeous in addition to the house. Would definitely come back. As mentioned in another review make sure that everyone in your party can do steps as there are many to get in the house as well going to the bedrooms upstairs.

This property is in a great location on Folly Beach. The neighborhood is relaxed and friendly. It's very easy to get to Center street, restaurants and to the beach. Walking was just down 3rd street and across a pathway for about a 7 min walk or we rented a golf cart and it was an easy drive down 2nd street to the beach with parking for golf carts or just off the street. Charleston and the attractions was an easy drive. The home is spacious with a huge front veranda where the children in our group liked to play and adults could could rock or swing on the big porch swing. The yard was well cared for and landscaped with plenty of seating around the fire pit in the back. At the time of year we were there, we found numerous beach towels and beach equipment. The kitchen was well equipped and beautiful. There was lots of room on the main level and upper floor with the additional living space upstairs. Beds and linen were very comfortable. This would have been a 5 star if some minor cosmetic improvements were done; re-caulking in the upstairs bathroom, replace or paint over a rusted outside door from the main bedroom, power washing the front porch (but get how the black sand can be hard to keep up with), and when anticipating a larger group, leave a bit more toilet paper than the standard starter pack. Overall our whole group thought the home was amazing and would recommend it for a fun family escape!

Stayed here with 5 of friends/family for my sister's bachelorette and it was the perfect place for us! Beds were super comfy, the house was clean and cozy, and it was the perfect distance from town + the beach. Would 100% rent again.

We had a perfect stay at Costal Escapes (our 2nd visit) The home is very spacious. Lots of bedrooms, but lots of extra spaces too. Ideal for games of hide ‘n seek, and great for spreading out. We easily walked to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The house was very clean and had everything we needed! The owners responded immediately to questions. Already thinking about a return visit!

This home is in a great location, walkable to the main street of Folly as well as the beach. It was clean & more than enough space for 12 to hang out. Just a few things for future bookers before you go... The check in isn't until 4 & there will likely be no wiggle room. You can't even park your car in the driveway or leave a bag in the garage, which was inconvenient. We thought we could park somewhere in Folly & walk around until our check in time, but finding a parking spot anywhere at that time was very difficult. There are a lot of stairs leading up to the house. Do not overpack your bags/coolers to the point you can barely carry them! The kitchen items are pretty basic (similar to most rentals). I would bring your own pots/pans if you plan to cook anything elaborate. I wouldn't count on most of their beach chairs being usable. Most of the chairs were rusted/rotted.

Coastal Escape is a great home for big families. We enjoyed cooking meals together, spending time in the outdoor spaces and congregating around the big table playing poker and reconnecting! Access to beach equipment was so easy and cleaning up after a long day at the beach was quick and easy. We very much appreciated the welcome goodies upon arrival and the excellent communication making sure we were settled. Loved everything about our stay!

Beautiful home and a beautiful time:)

We had a wonderful family beach vacation at Coastal Escape. Our family enjoyed the quiet natural area around the house and close proximity to the beach. Everything is within walking distance, but far enough away from the crowds. There were more than enough beds for us, and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. We would highly recommend this property to friends and look forward to rebooking in the future.

I stayed for my bachelorette party and this location was perfect. A short walk to Center St. and the beach. The home was clean and well stocked with essentials. Checkin was easy and Steve was great with communication.

A perfect getaway for our group of girlfriends. The house had plenty of space for all of us with a nice open floor plan that made it easy to hang out in together. Nice quick 8min ish walk to the beach too! We only wish we could have stayed longer :)

The house was absolutely everything we could have wanted and more. Crazy clean, close to the beach and main street. We came for Charleston and never left Folly Beach! 10/10 recommend!

An overall great stay! Property was exactly as expected. Location was perfect (secluded but an easy walk to everything) and communication with host via text was ideal. Would absolutely recommend.

A little bit of a walk to the beach and downtown, but on a quiet street. Much less traffic than some other areas of the island.

Very easy to walk to downtown Folly Beach and to the beach. Lots of bedrooms, which was nice for a big group. The indoor common space is a little small relative to the space for sleeping so it's not easy for the whole group to hang out together. This was my first time staying in a rental property with a sound monitor. Would have been helpful to know about that a device would be monitoring our sound so that playing music could set off a warning. It felt a little tricky to not tell us about that in advance. We were able to check-in two hours early, which was nice

Communications with the owner for check-in, out, were fantastic even during an abnormally cold holiday where they needed to request we take some winterization precautions. House is super-clean, location is great. Only thing I'd mention is that it just needs a little upkeep for a few minor things: blinds missing in upstairs bedrooms, loose finials on the long steps to the front door, a few dinged places in walls that could use some paint. Nothing that all of us probably aren't late to do on our own homes...

Clean and comfortable beds

This was the perfect place to host our wedding party. Very spacious, clean, and the overall process was seamless!

We had a great stay last week. Wonderful House. We were 6 - 60 something year old guys sailing last week Thursday – Saturday at James Island County Park in a National Championship Regatta. Everyone thought the house was great. Comfortable beds and loads of room. All in all a wonderful place to rent the next time we are in the area.

Very nice place to stay for a large group! The ladies in our family used this as a family getaway retreat for a long weekend. Very spacious and close to everything! The owners/ managers were very nice and kept us up to date upon arrival and departure. We will definately be returning next year as we make this an annual event!

The house needs some TLC. On the front steps walking up on the right side, the finial is loose on railing and i almost fell trying to use it as support. The cabinets in kitchen and bathroom need painting. The kitchen is not very well stocked.

This rental unit was very clean. It was a large house with a great back porch - the pictures don't do it justice. Just a short walk from downtown and the beach, it was perfect for our group.

My family of 3 generations thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend on Folly Beach. Coastal Escapes is located on a quiet street, yet still close enough to walk to Center Street and it’s shopping and dining. It is also convenient to the beach - a bonus is the beach access has showers and bathrooms. The house is very spacious, up to date, and comfortable. When we arrived we were not only welcomed to a clean and inviting home but also found a bottle of wine and key lime pie cookies waiting for us! Although it was too warm outside for us, the fire pit was very inviting. We especially liked the bonus loft, where our grandchildren enjoyed some independent time. Steven was very attentive and responded to my inquiries in a timely manner. We highly recommend a stay at Coastal Escapes.
