Beautiful scenery— one of the best in the neighborhood. Quite a curvy steep drive in but not too bad once you are used to it. Lots of hiking and waterfalls nearby. Kitchen was well appointed. Back deck for meals- sunsets and sunrises is amazing

The property is located on top of a mountain, so the view is amazing. In the morning you felt like you were above the clouds. It was so peaceful. Great space with everything you need. Owners were very helpful and told us places to eat and visit. I would definitely go back.

This is a very nice home and well maintained. With a beautiful clear view of the mountains from the huge deck. I do recommend renting this property.

Beautiful home with stunning views above Sky Valley, GA. If you like being on top of the mountain this is your place. Clayton and Highlands are a short drive if you need supplies or just want to get out. Kitchen is well equipped for the sandwich maker or the gourmet chef. A large deck and loft area provided quiet space if needed. Owners were super easy to work with and stayed in touch to make sure we were happy. We look forward to returning !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We have stayed in many houses rented through VRBO but have never experienced anything quite so gorgeous and well equipped! Truly appreciated the use of the garage making level entry possible. The view from the deck is like no other morning to night! Jody was wonderful to work with and very attentive! Thank you! This was everything advertised and more! You open the front door and your met with big windows looking out at an amazing view of the mountains and a beautiful large deck. The house itself is beautifully decorated and very clean. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the morning with our coffee and we were looking down on the clouds below us in the valley. The owner was great to work with and made sure everything went smoothly. We defintely plan to try and visit again!

My wife and I stayed at "Happy Ours" for a long weekend and loved every moment. The house was clean and everything worked as expected. A few things I feel like prospective renters should know... The first time you drive to the house, it seems like FOREVER to get there after turning off the Dillard Road. Our experience was that the drive seemed much shorter each time we drove it after that. (I adjusted to driving on the twisting mountain roads pretty quickly.) For trips to "town" it's a shorter and easier drive to go to Dillard vs going to Highlands. I can't speak to the quality of the other beds, but the bed in the Master BR was very comfortable. Mountain Fresh Market in Highlands is a great place for a few supplies or an entire meal. (We had the pizza which was outstanding.) We enjoyed sitting on the deck just before and for a while after sunset - even on a cloudy day. Pictures simply can't capture the beauty accurately. Don't forget your Bluetooth speaker for a little mood music. If you’re a golfer, I recommend Sky Valley CC. It’s right there in the neighborhood, and I found it to be a beautiful course that wasn’t too difficult.

We spent 4 days in this lovely home at the top of Sky Valley and I do mean at the top!! The views start in the morning when the clouds are settled in the valley and the mountaintops rise above the clouds. The clouds will burn off to show all of the stunning mountains and then the evening provides brilliant sunsets. The home is lovely and well maintained. We cooked in most evenings and had everything we needed including a gas stove, my favorite. We visited in September and being able to leave the windows open with cool breezes coming in was a real treat as we live in Florida. Jody, the owner, was very helpful with any questions and always available. Jody is so responsive to feedback and had a suggestion for me as I found the master bed a bit firm. Jody has now ordered pillow tops for all the beds in case guests would like a bit softer mattress. The location is close enough to pop up to Highlands, NC for some retail therapy and fine dining if you so desire. Clayton is another cute town to check out. You are also close to natural parks to check out hiking and waterfalls. Enjoy!!

Would highly recommended this home for your getaway. Beautiful views! Accommodations were great. Could use some updated glassware and serving dishes…if you are the type of group that likes to cook in. Master bed was very comfortable. Our other Guests said the other two beds were not the best. One is a full the other a queen, since it’s restricted to adults only, larger beds may make the stay nicer for all. Over all it’s a great vacation home and wonderful host.

This house is everything it describes in the description. The views are incredible! The house is very clean and has everything you will need. It is the perfect place for a get away. The HUGE bath, shower and fireplace in the master bedroom was definitely a plus. Great hospitality from beginning of our trip to the end. We will be back!

the vrbo website shows cost of $237/night "not including tax". But neither does it include SERVICE FEE ($141), CLEANING FEE ($211), or MANDATORY DAMAGE PROTECTION INSURANCE ($58). The tax was $139, so the total cost was $1497 or $374/night.

The house is perfectly located with the opportunity for great views. These are not called the Smokey mountains for no reason. The winter cloud and rain cover obscured the views but not our spirits. We had a great time regardless of weather. The spacious house, great grill, wood burning fireplace and comforts led to good times by all

We love the property. It is big and spacious and the views out every window are stunning! We were snowed in and it added some interesting arrivals of family members. We enjoyed our stay during Christmas. Having a white Christmas was amazing! The owner is so gracious and accommodating.

Jody gave us the opportunity to have a wonderful time in the mountains - the view was incredible; the directions to the house were perfect (and the drive was beautiful); the kitchen was well-stocked; the rooms were comfy and each had their own theme; the overall layout was spacious and allowed for time together and time apart; it was awesome. We did have a few problems with hot water and the gate to the neighborhood opening but Jody and I kept open communication and I very much appreciated her help. In the end, we loved it!
