Paraíso dos Ventos is for sure one of the best new pousadas in the area of Atins. Because the difficulty to arrive in Atins through either a dirt road or a river, Atins had few options for hotels, and paraíso dos ventos is for sure one of the best. The staff is incredibly helpful and planned my journey to and from Atins from São Luís. The breakfast included with the stay and the meals you can pay extra for by the on site chef are incredible! And it saves you from having to trek through the sand roads (which are beautiful but tiresome after a long day). Speaking of the roads, the pousada had multiple cars that it makes available for guests who want to go places in Atins but are tired or have difficulty walking long distances in the sand. The best part: unlike in Barreirinhas, you are right next to the sand dunes of Lençóis Marenhenses. This place is amazing. A suggestion: make your plans for tours and things in advance with the staff at the hotel, with prices included, the tour companies in Atins can try to pull steep prices on you at the last minute, and the staff can help you navigate that in advance.
