Quirky. Fabulous location. Bed comfortable and the local parking option a huge bonus.

Low water pressure in the shower. Could do with a freshen up however not a deal breaker.

The location was perfect. The bed was comfortable. Very good communication with Stephen.

Firstly, there was a significant gap around the entry door that was letting the cold air into the room. There was a door snake provided but it was not long enough to cover the width of the door. The lock on the entry door was inferior and probably will not meet the Australian Lock Standard. A barrel bolt fitted inside the door will provide more security when asleep in the room. The bathroom is not up to a comfortables standard, very small. The shower curtain provided did not keep the water within and the bathroom floor was drenched and there was no mop or squeegee to dry up the floor. Another person wanting to use the facilities straight away posed a problem.

The uneven flooring and levels (see photos) in places within the apartment that caused me to trip several times. There was Once I actually fell, hit my head on the front door and smashed onto my left hip (which has a hip replacement). This caused me to miss seeing a relative (purpose of the trip) to stay in bed to nursing a golf ball size wound on my head and left hip joint pain. There were no warning signs or ramps from the entry to the kitchen or from the kitchen to the bed area. Also The owner, outside the Booking.com contract, messaged me to say that I needed to sign for a covering $500 deposit or I wouldn’t get the address or key lock box code. Having to pay $50 a day for parking. The unclean state of the room was awful– dusty, dead bugs in the light fitting and window sill, poor natural light, dirt on the stove, rusty stove elements and shower curtain railing.

The stairs up and down and no stovetop or bbq facilities . The view I had was from a little window at the side of the building. So far to walk anywhere for me with my sore hips. When I wanted W i Fi (AT $10 per day!) it wasn't connecting. For the price it was very disappointing.

Stephen and Matthew were super helpful sorting parking for us at last minute, very friendly and accommodating, recommend and would stay again location is perfect and quaint views to the sea and pool along marine parade 💯👌

The accommodation itself is a neat, clean studio apartment, however the location is sheer magic. Unless you had a house on stilts built on the rocks you could not be any closer to the water - it is incredible! A 6 min walk one way to the main Manly area and surf beach and 3 min walk the other way to Shelley Beach and the marine reserve - what an absolute paradise.

The only thing this accommodation has going for it is the location. It is extremely overpriced for the state of the rooms, it was the same price to stay at Manly Pacific.

The place smelt of mould and everything (rugs/cushions/bedding/towels) were all damp. There was no aircon, only a small fan in the lounge area, and only one tiny window in the bedroom, so no air flow through the room, so you can't even hide the smell. The curtain in the bedroom was covered in mould, we ended up leaving after one night as couldn't sleep there again.

Shabby chic, could have been in a French pensionne. Just right for 2.

it would have been great to have a hob alongside the microwave.

Superb location right on the Esplanade with close walking access to Shelly Beach and some lovely cafes. Slightly longer walk to Manly corso if you want access to more restaurants and night life. Very quiet location at night.

This is in a fantastic location, halfway between Manly and Shelly beaches. It is about twenty metres from the ocean pool. The building is rustic looking from the outside but is quite lovely inside. The staff are accommodating and friendly.

There wasn't much that I didn't like. The bed was too soft. If you aren't an early riser, you may get woken by the people walking by as the area is bustling. I can't think of anything else but I had to write more sentences.

Just know it’s very small and the kitchen is not what I would consider adequate to cook in.

The location was excellent, could swim daily and quiet- no traffic or noise. Nearby cafe for coffee, and shelley beach.

The room was quite hot not much ventilation, and dark. I expected it to be more modern. steps up and down in the room are a bit annoying, bathroom shower rail very rusty. I would have liked a beach towel, pegs to hang clothes on line, more black tea and pepper salt- I had to ask for these. My transport was walking in and out of manly, which is a lovely walk but need to factor it in.

The location is amazing - absolutely 10/10. If you want to be on the water, plus an easy walk to any of the wonderful things Manly has to offer - restaurants, surf beaches, cove beaches, shops, bars - and love a beach shack vibe, this place hits the mark. Comfy bed and pillows, basic but functional bathroom, in an elevated studio with a view.

A couple of things would make this a ‘shabby chic’ beach shack, as opposed to just a bit of a ‘tired’ beach shack. Given space is at a premium, some hooks (as seen in the photos but not in real life) on the walls would help for bags, hats and towels. A little coffee table/stool for keys and phones - not too much extra to lift the property just that tiny bit to get to a 10/10 for not just location but comfort - and practicality - too.

We paid a $500 bond before we were given keys and access and told it would be refunded at end of stay. we still don’t have that money back and we left place cleaner than we found it. It was grubby, not very secure, noisy and bathroom was very very basic AND, we want our $500 back
