Waking up to the wildlife being at the steps of the villa.

The Villa needs some TLC, there were broken floor tiles in a couple of places and the shower didn't drain away and almost flooded the villa. When we arrived to check in at what we thought was the accommodation, there was no one there and I had to call to be told the Villa is in a different location.

Spacious villa with spa, WiFi, fridge, washing machine, TV, and open fire, although you need to get your own wood. Good WiFi

I thought I was staying at the grand and was not told until check in the villa is about 1km away. I wasn't told that I needed wood for the fireplace. It has a reverse cycle in the room, but it's not enough on a cold night. It was pricey, but the villas are like a unit, so I guess you expect to pay a premium.

Clean room & bathroom. Easy check-in. Very quiet overnight. Old building & quirky but fine for a night. Good WiFi.

The bistro was open and run separately to the accomodation side of the property and we found the evening meals very well priced and enjoyable.

We were very disappointed with the state of the property in general. The accomodation room we stayed in was unclean and had spiders and webs in corners of walls. Our room was very small with very little room to move around the bed.

The unfinished Renos and smell in our room was unpleasant. The lack of clean dishes and basic requirements such as working doors, sinks and draws did not exist. There was a lot of rubbish and stuff laying around due to the Renos but would go there again if the Renos were complete and the place cleaned up nicer. A fan in the bathroom or working window would also help. Shane was lovely

Location

Room was extremely dusty and dirty, when asked to be cleaned it was not done properly. When asked to be cleaned again, no one came to clean. Only 2 pillows given and was told no extra pillows. When I turned on the cooler, it was blowing out balls of dirt and dust so had to keep it turned off. The room also had a bad smell.

It met all our needs. it was central to most restaurants and parks.

no office staff- saw nobody at all upon arrival or departure unkemp disrepair previous renovations incomplete. approach to entry door is via side staircase littered with dry gum leaves Double bed sandwiched against wall , very small room. Amateurish renovations and repairs over all. Rang owner for invoice/receipt to be sent by email. Still not received after 6 days.

Everything being within walking distance some of the scenery was awesome enjoyed relaxing at the hotel

Wasn't long enough no fridge in room no spoons in room when I have a coffee and putting water in kettle a bit awkward with the tap in the room but I suppose that was in another room

Room was very small. None of the paint was finished, wall undercoat only, woodwork was just nail gunned to the wall

Nothing really but a convenient location if you are willing to brave this waste.

No hot water for 3 days, continually lied to by the management. Pee stains in the filthy bathroom, pubic hair over the toilet seat, room was very dirty, covered in dust and spider webs. The kitchen was gross and the facilities were caked in grime, even our glasses had bugs and crap in them. We left and didn't bother staying the second night, asked the manager to give us a refund since there was no hot water, he went off talking about his accolades as an owner of several hotels in response (in retrospect this was useful since we can avoid this too). Eventually said he would refund us one night, this money never came through, he wasted our time by lying, had to call to remind him two or three times over a couple of weeks, so we gave up.

Owner was very friendly and helpful. Location was great! Bar inside property had live music and very cheap drinks and a free pool table.

Shared kitchen currently being renovated but should be great when done.

staff was really nice and friendly. we even got a better room just because it was available. bed was very comfy
