Often had difficulty with gate entry to front door, screen on entry screen door torn from frame, difficulty closing some interior doors, interior wood trim paint chipped and dirty, gate to beach had to be forced to open/close, steps from gate up and on to the beach need some major attention, no available chos

We absolutely loved this beach house! We have rented many houses at the beach, this was the best! It was so nice to walk into the house for the first time and be genuinely happy with what you see. We had zero complaints. We loved everything about it - the location, the large patio, jacuzzi, private sand area, and the 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were perfect for our family. The beds were very comfortable with really decent, comfortable bedding. Having access to a garage was great too, not to mention having a washer and dryer! The attention to detail in this rental was very obvious and appreciated! We look forward to returning next summer!

This property was wonderful! Just as described. We brought our two dogs. There is a large grassy area right behind the property for walking them. The kids loved every minute here, as did the adults! Tyler was so great at communicating! We will absolutely book with Tyler again!

The location of this property is perfect. Property is split into two so it's very convenient for families with teens. But also had plenty of space for our family of six to stay on one level. The property manager was also amazing to work with. We had a last minute emergency that interfered with our check in day and he went above and beyond to help accommodate us. We are so grateful to him and the owner for working with us. Super clean and super cute. Everything you need for a beach getaway.

This was the perfect spot for our family vacation! The house was adorable and the location could not have been better. Tyler was extremely accommodating and truly wonderful to communicate with. We will definitely be coming back to this house in the future!

This is a wonderful property right on the sand. The kitchen is well equipped. The linens and beds were very comfortable. The living room furniture had lots to be desired. The couch and chairs so soft you just sort of sink in and basically have to crawl out on your hands and knees. The barbecue worked very well. Roomy refrigerator. The set up is a bit odd. There is no internal stairs to reach the upstairs. You have to go out to the street and ascend the steps. It’s a beauty of a room up there tho, with gorgeous ocean views. Nice garage with chairs for the beach. The umbrellas for the sand were all broken and the boogie boards have lost there tethers so they were unusable. The washer and dryer were newish and washed the cloths well. We could of used some more toilet paper and they were stingy with the towels but the manager brought us more. The manager was Johnny on the spot when we needed anything. It was a pleasure to work with him. There was plenty of on street parking. The neighborhood felt safe even after dark. There is a homeless encampment three blocks or so down the street but they did not seem to pose a threat. We locked the doors routinely however especially the upper unit door since the access was at street level. Really enjoyed are stay and hope to return.

Amazing house. Had two families and loved that there were two separate units. Location was great, right on the beach. Tyler was very responsive and helpful.

Property was accurate in description. Location right on the beach was superb. Very private even though surrounded on both sides by large beach homes. Amenities need some improving such as more bath towels, more silverware and glassware, and upgrade to electrical system (we encountered 3-4 circuit overloads per day that cut off power).

We came here for a second time. We loved it just as much! Thank you! The place is very clean. Spacious for 2 families. The patio absolutely makes this place amazing, and being right in the beach makes perfect!

Love being right on the beach, my 6 grandsons played on the beach the minute they woke up in the morning!!! And we could just watch them from the house. Loved it.

We had a great time at this beach house. There were 7 adults so the separate upper level worked fine for us. Steps to the beach plus close to shops, we barely left the house and enjoyed our time as beach bums. Wonderful stay.

The only suggestion that I would make is to make the backyard more secure for dogs since pets are allowed. My dogs could jump the enclosure at the back even when staked on a long cord. The easy access for parking and walking the dogs on the path with grass was a bonus!

The house was very clean. Kitchen well stock. We were disappointed with the ocean view from the front patio. Very quite location . We felt like a private beach , very nice. The master bedroom upstairs with the kitchen was a added bonus. Tyler was a great host. His response time was excellent!

Great location, perfect beach cottage for a family with kids or without. A cool breeze provided respite from summer heat and loved the view of the ocean waves from the decks and sandy knoll Tyler is very responsive to needs.

The location was fantastic. Beach, restaurants, bars and things to do all close by. A couple of minor issues with things not working (coffee pot upstairs didn’t work, bbq grille needs cleaning, etc) but overall fine for a family vacation. Tyler was very pleasant or deal with. Thank you!

The property manager was very easy to work worth… responded immediately to a couple of questions we had. Our entire family enjoyed the beach and patio where we played corn hole and spike ball ( games we brought). We were happy to just chill and enjoy the beautiful ocean!

If you are having any inkling of staying at this house pull the trigger and do it. It acceded our expectations and my family had a wonderful experience. If I could give this property 6 stars I would.

Our best vacation so far . The location right on the beach is heavenly and the house is clean and has everything we needed . Great communication with Tyler . Sad to leave .

First of all, let me say that working with the manager of the property, Tyler Noonan, has been seamless. He is attentive and responsive to any and all communications. He worked with us when our original reservation had to be rescheduled due to Covid-19. He and the owners were understanding and responsive, willing to work with us to reschedule. On our recently rescheduled visit in October, we enjoyed our stay, with some reservations that I feel need to be addressed. The home has a nice beach-front location. It has easy access to the beach. It is kid-friendly with lots of outdoor play space, sand pit, and sand and beach toys. There are three concerns I want to address: 1) there was a natural gas leak inside the home near the furnace located in the entrance/kitchen area. This was brought to the attention of the manager who shut off the gas to the furnace and asked us to let him know if it continued. It continued; we kept all windows and doors open during the stay to keep the inside air circulating; 2) on a chilly day when using the gas fireplace in the living room, the result was noxious fumes filling the living area. We had to turn the gas off within1- 2 minutes, evacuate to the outside, open all windows and doors and wait to clear the inside air. Two of the individuals closest to the fireplace felt dizzy enough for us to be concerned for their safety; 3) the green belt parking area referenced in the house description is open to public parking. During every night of our stay, well into the wee hours of the morning, there were cars whose occupants used this parking area as a party location - talking loudly, arguing loudly, using loud and foul language, obviously impaired due to, I assume, substance use, and sleeping in the cars overnight. On our last evening, there was a very loud and unsettling domestic disturbance in the parking area which, after more than an hour near midnight, finally drew the local police to break it up. Not only was the excessive noise and activity disturbing, especially with young children in our party, but it felt unsafe to exit the main floor to take the outside stairs to the upper unit. In addition to these issues, we were disappointed with attention to details in the kitchens’ and baths’ amenities. The BBQ needs attention. The slipcovers on the living room furniture are unsightly and uncomfortable. For dollar value, the location is a plus, but overall the house was disappointing relative to the description on VRBO.

We stayed at this property for an escape for a few days. It was glorious. The house is clean, comfortable, and laid out very well. The location and views are beautiful. We enjoyed watching the unbeatable sunsets in the evening and the dolphins playing in the ocean in the mornings. Tyler was very communicative and easy to work with from beginning to end. Highly recommend!

Had a fantastic stay, property was perfect for all our family needs, would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Sunset Beach.

Overall, it was a great property. What we wanted most was a nice location and super easy access to the beach. We got that x10. House was setup well for our group. Hot Tub was not working but also something that was being addressed and just one of those things that happens. Owner told us upfront and refunded the money for it. The only thing I wish there was more of was BBQ tools. We made what we had work but a set of tools for grilling would be helpful. We would go back in a second though. Our family had a blast!

Great location. Expansive beach. Washer and dryer a big plus. Very nice deck space. Comfortable beds. Garage parking for one car with space behind garage for additional car. Equipped with nice body boards, sand toys, and beach chairs. Pet friendly. Good communication with property manager. Found out the jacuzzi did not work after we moved in.. (We were given a rebate, but booked the house because of this feature and would have much preferred a working jacuzzi.) Could use more dinner plates, sliverware, and serveware. Lacks hanging storage for clothes. Overall, we had a great week at the beach. We had to be a bit creative with clothing storage (we didn't want to live out of suit cases for a week) and during meal prep. and serving, but nothing to really get in the way of the fun of a week at the beach..

We had a wonderful stay at the property. We went during the heat wave in CA and AZ but it was totally fine on the beach! The property was two separate units one on top and one on the bottom which worked out fine for us since we have teenagers. The upper unit is lovely with a great breeze and very private. Downstairs is great as well with a full kitchen and access to the beach out the back patio. The location was great and easy to get to great restaurants in Huntington, Seal beach and Long Beach. Newport is a quick drive as well.
