Such a wonderful house!!!

Ist was wonderful, to be in such a loving, wellcared for Hawaiian Old Style Home so close to Hookipa Beach and to all other little beaches near the house we really felt at home for the stay being there ! Thanks for everything Mahalo nui loa and Aloha Margareta and friends

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Grom's Hideaway. The location was ideal, a very short walk to Mama's beach in a beautiful quiet residential neighborhood with Kuau store just a block or so away, just a few minutes to downtown Paia- great restaurants and Mana Foods, and quick drive to other beaches, waterfalls, and more. We would return to this house. It was clean and cheerful with enough room for us and a great outdoor shower. The property manager was helpful and kind and the owners next door were incredibly hospitable, showing us true Aloha. We would definitely return. Mahalo!

If you are looking for a big hotel experience in Wailea then go stay at the Grand Wailea. If you are looking for a sweet house in Paia then this is your spot. Location is great--outdoor shower is fab, furnishings and kitchen and grill are best I have ever seen in a rental. They have beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and coolers to make your beach experience everything you need. Neighborhood quiets down so that having the windows open at night is no problem. And the owner and his family live right next door and are most excellent. They showed us how to drink from coconuts (from a weird tool in that well stocked kitchen). Part of me doesn't want to even give this place a good review cause I want to keep it for myself. But I just couldn't do that. Much aloha.

We enjoyed staying at Grom’s place. Owners live next door and are very helpful. Beach is very close. Good spot to watch the sun go down and see a turtle. Other great beaches nearby. Would definitely recommend for a family.

We had a wonderful week in Paia staying in this beautifully maintained vintage bungalow. Comfortable, private neighborhood. So appreciated the fully equipped spacious kitchen and living spaces. We look forward to future stays at Grom's Hideaway!

Amazing spot Superb hosts everything you need if not our hosts ensured you recieved it The township of paia is only a 15 min walk to amazing restaurants and boutique shopping Very chilled and well rested after our stay Totally recommend to all

Great location around the corner from downtown Paia. We walked to the market and the shops every day. House was comfortable and clean and worked well for our group of adults and children. Nice private backyard with really soft grass. Only complaint - the hammock no where near as comfortable as it looked in the photos

We will try to stay here again when we come back to Maui. The owners live next door and are the nicest people I've ever met. The kitchen is just the right size to prepare meals without bumping into anyone. But the outdoor shower was our favorite. Pa'ia is the perfect location to venture out in any direction you like. Talk to the owner (Mike) to find out which is the best beach for the current conditions, he knows what he is talking about. Mike was over with fresh fruit from his own trees and you can't ask for a more welcoming experience.

It was a good day to find such a lovely "Plantation House , with a porch, in the Kuau area of Maui. Many excellent surfing beaches are within a short walk. Ho'okipa Beach is special where you can sit for hours watching board surfers, wind surfers, and kite surfers. Looking out to sea you often see Humpback Whales surfacing, spouting and playing like children - it's a three ring circus. And you are able to enjoy "Mama's Fish House", arguably,the best restaurant in Hawaii. It's a few minutes walk to a great beach site with fresh caught local fish and exceptional ambiance. And there is Mike nearby and happy to help with any problems and knows where to find anything you may need. Bill W.

We can’t wait to go back to Grom’s Hideaway! We've been to Maui many times and have stayed all over the island. We loved the quiet residential location and the home. The house is surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden that our kids could play in. It’s a very clean and comfortable Hawaiian style home. The private outdoor shower was fantastic. The kitchen is large and easy to cook in. Again, the location is great – walking distance to a local store with delicious take- out food and an even shorter walk to the beach. The beach is terrific for kids and adults. The town of Paia is a short drive and Makawao is just up the hill. The owners of the property are extremely knowledgeable about the area. They gave us tips on where to go. We had a terrific vacation and we can’t wait to go back!

We are always so happy to stay at this nice a tation style house just a couple houses away from the water in Kuau Point. All the Best N shore activities are just a couple minutes away. Fun closeout sets at Hoo'okipa, snorkling at the keyhole, kiting or windsurfing, apre drinks at Mama's? All just a few steps or a quick bike ride away. Gracious hosts and a great location.

This house has everything you need for a relaxing stay on Maui's north side, everything you need, and nothing you don't. The owner and family live next door and are incredibly welcoming. Paia is a fabulously laid back community with several great restaurants. Just a stones throw away from the water, you can enjoy an early morning wake up swim in the ocean, or head up Hana highway less than a mile to check out the wind surfers at world famous Ho'okipa Beach. This house is recommended for families looking to relax on Maui away from the touristy resorts in Wailea or Kaanapali.

This home is just perfect! It has all the essentials one would need... we went with our 6 year old so we ate in a few nights and it was just lovely. there is a beach that has very shallow water for the kids to play and be safe, just a block away. the property owner is the BEST and very helpful if you have any questions or desired places to recommend.

Grom's hideaway is a nice home in a great location. We liked the old Hawaii style home, very comfortable. Quiet and private, but close to the beach (right down the little street). And close to Hookipa and Paia. It was perfect for us as my wife windsurfed right out front, and I was able to walk to Lanes to kite. Great, safe neighborhood for our kids, and a little market at the entrance to the track. The outdoor shower rocked. And yes, the shower is private. And it was cool to have coconuts, bananas and papayas right in our backyard. Can't wait to go back.
