The properties owned by Jody and Tara are the absolute best on the island. Every detail is addressed. They are extremely professional and attentive. We have always loved our stays!

My family had a fantastic time on Spanish Wells, and staying at Turtle Shell cottage was like home! The location was perfect! The cottage was adorable and cozy. Jody and Tara were fantastic hosts, and they were quick to respond to make sure we had everything we needed. We loved the laid back atmosphere of the island and slow pace. THIS was a true vacation, and we’ll definitely be back! Thanks Jody and Tara!

This was our second time staying on Spanish Wells with this host, and we can't imagine a better experience. The cottage is immaculate, well located. Perfect for a family of four or more. The hosts are the best.

The house was very nice and sparkling clean. Golf cart looked new, bicycles & kayak were in excellent condition. There is a short path from the house to the beach where there is a canopy, hammock, chairs & lounges. The kayak is also stored on the beach which was very convenient. The hosts were very nice and responsive to requests - they are well organized and on top of everything. I had a great vacation and have already reserved the house for next year. The house and hosts definitely deserve the 5 stars they are consistently rated.

First off our communication in pre-planning was super quick and super helpful. The place was so cute and comfortable and access to the beach (a spectacular, nearly empty of people beach) was 1 min walk. Spanish Wells is wonderful and we will go back and we would love to stay here again. Thank you Tara and Jody for all the help and for this lovely little gem of a place

We had a great stay in Spanish Wells that began with the property owners meeting us at the water taxi dock. They provided us with a very nice golf cart and we followed them to the house. We were provided with simple and clear directions for the home and found it beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. We were only steps from the beach, and they had a wonderful covered area on the beach for our use. It included chairs and loungers, so no dragging stuff back and forth from the house. We definitely plan to rent from them again when we return in a few months! You really can't go wrong with this house, and the owners we available for any questions we had and made great recommendations!

The house was very clean. It appeared to be recently built, but it was very well maintained. The walk down the path to the beach was short, clear, and like a short walk in the woods then it opened up to the gorgeous beach. The beach, kayak, chairs, and bicycles were in great condition. The golf cart that was included was perfect as well. One of the many highlights were the muffins the host dropped off. If you’re lucky enough, you may also have a chance to get them as well! If we had a question or needed help, the host were always available and happy to help. A wonderful couple snd we’ll probably stay at one of there larger houses because we’re bringing more people next time!!

When I say everything was perfect, I mean EVERYTHING was PERFECT!!!! The house was incredible…beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed!!! It literally is steps away from a beautiful path that leads straight to the gorgeous beach and ocean!! Having use of a golf cart was a major plus!!! Communication with our host was always easy and prompt and so very helpful!!! Our family rented all 3 of these beach houses for our son’s wedding and it literally was PERFECT!!! We will rent again for sure!!!!❤️

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our trip was and how perfect this house was for our family. The house is beautifully decorated and just steps away from the sandy beach and a short golf cart ride to all of the restaurants, boat docks, and grocery. Jody and Tara are the ultimate vacation hosts - and helped us with anything we needed from the first moment we arrived to the second we left. If you have never been to Spanish Wells you have not truly visited the Bahamas. It is a beautiful island of the most friendly and welcoming residents. We rented a boat from Harbourside Rentals for our week's stay and swam with pigs and stingrays and turtles, visited countless secluded beaches surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the Bahamas, fished and explored reefs and dive spots. We even got to enjoy a rivalry softball game at the local field between the team from Spanish Wells and neighboring Eleuthera, and also the farmers/Artisan market on Saturday. Don't miss Paca Scoops for ice cream each night and highly recommend the fresh conch salad from the local stand over on the Russell Island side. (open weekends only I think). Budda's Snack Shake is a great lunch spot and we also enjoyed meals at Wreckers and The Shipyard as well. The house is stocked with plenty of cooking utensils/pans and a gas grill so we cooked in several nights as well. I can't say enough about our vacation and how memorable it was. Additionally, Jody and Tara have four other vacation rental homes in this same spot and would be a perfect location for a large family vacation/reunion. Just a fantastic vacation from start to finish. We highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for an unforgettable trip and we are so thankful to Jody and Tara for sharing their little piece of paradise with us! Can't wait to make a return trip :)

The Turtle Shell cottage came just as advertised. Great accommodations perfect for our family of 5. Just steps to the beach. Came with a golf cart which made it easy to zip around Spanish Wells and Russell Island. Awesome charter trips booked through our host Jody....Island tours, sand bar swings, fishing, pig island. Lots of great memories made on this trip with the family. Five Stars

A group of us rented a beach house and a cottage. The cottage folks loved everything about the cottage and the island. We’re already talking about next year!

Turtle Shell Cottage was the perfect treat for our first family vacation since Covid. Tara and Jody could not have been more hospitable and helpful. We appreciated the authentic island life of Spanish Wells and the beauty of the water and beaches. It was so peaceful and restorative. We’ll be sure to visit again!

We loved the house - located a short walking distance to the beach and using the golf cart to get around the island was easy. The house is perfect, super cute and clean. Would definitely stay there again. The Pinder family was great.

This is my second stay at one of Tara and Jody's properties! The cottages are so colorful, clean, and well decorated on a beautiful stretch of beach. One could not ask for kinder and more helpful hosts. I cannot wait until my third stay. I cannot say enough nice things about the hosts or their properties!!

This was our first trip to Spanish Wells and stayed in this wonderful property! Home is a dedicated rental with excellent features and exactly as described/pictured in the listing. We had friends stay in another house a couple of doors down provided by the same owner. The location is quiet and easy walking distance to the beach. We had a golf cart which could easily transport us to anything on the island in 5 minutes. Owners were responsive and available to answer any questions and help with other arrangements while on the island. This will not be our last visit!

All I can say is “””WOW!!””” This place exceeded my expectations and more!! We stayed 3 days and 2 nights with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bath. The cottage was walking distance from the beach, outdoor barbecue, shower and plenty of seating! The only downfall is no installation, you hear everything and I mean everything, from the toilet flushing, walking, and washing your hands! Overall we enjoyed our stay!!

Turtle Shell cottage is new and has all the features we'd ever want. When we had other needs Tara and Jody responded quickly. We felt very welcomed as they met us at the dock, provided our local transportation (golf cart or buggy's), and hauled our luggage to the cottage. Waiting for us at the cottage was a special baked treat from Tara's oven. Every feature in the cottage was new and in great working condition. We will be coming back to stay in these beautiful cottages again next year.

Jody and Tara thought of everything for our trip. Very clean and neat. You can see they take pride in there rental properties.

From the moment we arrived at the airport and was greeted by taxi service that Jody and Tara set up for us . to the dock to the boat ride to turtle shell our hosts were amazingly kind and friendly. we loved every single second of their beautiful beach home. Can't wait to go back next year
