Very nice unit: very clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. Easy walk to beach, restaurant, and convenience market. Would definitely stay again

Hate to leave a negative review but don’t want people to be fooled by the other reviews. First thing we noticed walking into the home was the smell of old mildew. Again the set was nice but upon inspection, several things needed replacing, like the some of the overused pots and pains which one had old cooking grease on it, the cooking utensils need replacing , the fridge is old and needs replacing the ice maker didn’t work in it either. The kitchen had a mildew smell that probably was culprits of the home smelling old and mildew. The sofas were old, had stains and pet hair all over them. The blankets were nicely folded only to unfold them for use and find that they had years of lint ball inside them again old. There is no AC so don’t be fooled because the place can get to be pretty warm during the day even will all doors and windows open with fans going as well..The outside of the home could use to TLC as well. The garage was very tight and shared with the tenants that share the duplex, he was nice btw. Im mentioning these things for 2 reasons #1 because I think these things are easy fixes to upgrade to the place and customers who rent should never see or experience. #2 the photos and description may hide little detailed things that could very well matter to some people because it mattered to us. I will say that Daniel was very quick to respond when contacted, so no problems there and seem to be a very nice guy. Its definitely livable but buyer beware. It NEED UPGRADES

Our stay at the Happy Beach House was wonderful. The house is in a wonderful location. All you have to do is cross Pacific Coast Highway and you are on the beach. The Lido Deck, Newport Pier, and Balboa are all no more than 1.5 to 2 miles away. I loved that this part of Newport is less crowded, but close to all the spots you may want to visit easily. The house is set-up with mostly everything you need. There are liquor stores, restaurants, and a wonderful coffee shop all within walking distance. Quiet and friendly neighborhood. We loved having two decks! Thank you!

Amazing place, wonderful beds, lots of great eateries nearby. Just perfect for a fabulous vacation.

We had a great vacation. The host was wonderful to work with. Our favorite thing had to be the beach cruisers. So fun! Also loved lounging in the beach chairs. So nice everything was provided and ready for us. Thank you!!

Location, cleanliness, style of the place and great communication with the owner- all things combined made our stay enjoyable. Place is cozy, kitchen functional- I sincerely recommend the place!

The property location to the beach was good. There was beach access right across PCH and we were a couple miles from the pier. The house is right off PCH, which is noisy. There were plenty of little coffee shops/cafes/restaurants within walking distance. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was not the cleanest and the refrigerator definitely needs to be replaced. The bathrooms need updating. The patios are nice, but again definitely need a good rinse down and the cushions need to be cleaned off. It was extremely nice to have a garage with enough parking space for two cars.

This rental property will not disappoint. We loved how close it was to the beach and it is a short bike ride (bikes provided) to the pier and shops and restaurants. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed hanging out on both of the patios. The property owner was also very quick to respond to our questions. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with our vacation and definitely look forward to returning.
