Ocean view, comfortable bed, use of balcony

Could use some updating in the bathrooms and kitchen with new tile.

The location and view is awesome. The bed is comfortable and the living room is a nice relaxing area.

The neighbor upstairs was loud and kids stomped and dragged chairs across the floor day and night. It was horrible. The pool and jacuzzi were closed and we did not receive notice until we arrived, not good. Should be a discount on stay for that.

Location was lovely, and the golf cart that came with the property was a terrific bonus. Layout of apartment was wonderful, with lots of room to spread out. Lots of stairs up & down, but it was worth it for the amazing views of the ocean!

Facilities were a bit run down. Apartment was nicely laid out & furnished but needed a fresh coat of paint. Kitchen had oldish appliances. No Kleenex in bathrooms. Board games worn out with torn up boards, missing pieces. Fitted sheet on King bed fell off corners of bed consistently. It was NOT disclosed that pool, jacuzzi, and other common areas were closed. Then we saw people swimming in pool, and were told this was “only for residents!” We paid premium rates to stay here, but were denied access to all the amenities. Disappointed

My partner and I had never been to Catalina, and when we spotted this villa, we were amazed that we could be so close to the water! For those like us who have never been, make sure to have cash on hand for the cab up to HAMILTON COVE. That's the name of the complex with all the villas, and while we were at first a little nervous to be so close to other folks, this "Quiet Avalon Getaway" was so spacious and the view was so beautiful that we never felt crowded. You've got two floors, with the master bedroom on the first, and kitchen and living room on the second (plus that awesome balcony view). The kitchen is mostly stocked, if any meals you're planning require specific pots or pans, you may want to bring them, but it was definitely more equipped than we expected. I think the most important offering though was THE GOLF CART! It's a must! I can't imagine our trip being nearly as freewheeling if we had to rent. You must do a Catalina trip once in your life. We saw foxes, dolphins, deer out the wazoo, and even a rattlesnake. And the hosts were so accommodating; we had a bit of a curveball on our last day, and Chela, our primary point of contact, was a lifesaver.

View and peaceful surroundings

Could have used a couple more towels, light bulbs out and air did not work but it may have been operator problems.
