A little run-down but offered great amenities for the kids and grown-ups alike. The property manager made every attempt to accomadate and assist.

Very family friendly from babies to adult. Plenty of space for a large group of people to stay. Owner and manager very friendly and helpful!! Would note the docks could be sturdier and made kid friendly. The outside of the home needed cleaning and some TLC. Overall we had a great stay and would return.

The home and property are ideal for large group. There are gathering places for the group and plenty of space to spread out for games, quiet time, indoor activities, and lake fun. The host was welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed having several kayaks and boats on property so everyone had options.

The house was perfect for our extended family, grandparents, parents and grandchildren. This was our second stay at the Log Inn, and we enjoyed it very much.

We enjoyed our stay here. We ranged in age from 85 to 2 months and there were things for all ages. The game room was used extensively and all the sitting areas and bedrooms were perfect for our large family.

Log Inn had plenty of gathering places and activities for our group of old friends to tether, cook food, play games and reminisce about old times. The beds were comfy and the rooms were spacious!

We loved our stay so much! Plenty of room for 14 of us (10 adults and 4 kids). Each family had their own room. The whole house was stocked with everything you could need. Loved having a washer/dryer. Also the access to the docks and all water craft equipment was awesome! Dorthy (manager) and Jerry (owner) answered questions right away and helped create a wonderful weekend retreat. Loved how close we were to the bike trail. We rode to the small town (go get ice cream at scoops) and the larger town (Mankato). Beautiful bike trail. We would definitely stay again.

The property is awesome, lots of space and ample number of bathrooms. The owner and manager are great! The lake water quality was the only downside, there is no swimming directly from the property.

We and our family had just a great time. The house was very clean and the hospitality of the Host and the Owner couldn't have been better. They did everything to please - and they did. WE had only one slight problem and they were on it immediately. The 9:00 a.m. check out time was a little stessful but we made it work and they were very appreciative.

This place is awesome!! We went there with a group of adults for my husband's 40th birthday. The place was clean and Dorothy was amazing at communication. She gave me a tour of the grounds and pointed out all of the different areas: fire pit, fish house, dock and kayaks. Any questions we had were answered very quickly. They were very accommodating for a late check out. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. One of our guests said it was the best place we have stayed!

Great house, room for our whole group(25). Well stocked and great management/ communication. Only problem was the bugs outside. Our group went through 6 full bottles of bug spray and 4 more half bottles. Everyone is covered in bites. Lots of water around the property and mucky ponds in front of the house. If you plan on staying inside this house is AMAZING. I would stay here again.

The Log Inn was perfect for us to relax and enjoy family traveling from out of town for our wedding. It was a perfect location and we made memories we will never forget.

This quiet large home nestled in a very beautiful area away from the city. On Madison Lake where you can just sit outside and enjoy all nature has to offer. My family and I stayed here for a weekend. The host was beyond accommodating! The house is very unique and holds a lot of character. They thought of everything you would need to make your stay easy. The host even left snacks and water for us. The kitchen is stocked up very well .The garage has a lot of games, pool table, ping pong table, every age can enjoy. It is cozy even though it is a very large home. We all felt so very comfortable and made memories that will last a lifetime. THANK YOU THANK YOU for a weekend we will never forget.

We stayed at this property for three days over Christmas! The property was fantastic, plenty of room for each of the family. Dorothy and Jerry were so easy to work with, both of them went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Highly recommend this place!

Very easy Great communication

We stayed here in November 2022 to celebrate an early Christmas with our large family that spans between northern Minnesota and central Iowa. It was the perfect halfway spot! With a large family that overflowed in nearby Mankato hotels, we had to take our planning pretty seriously! Dorothy was so helpful and responsive to questions - sometimes taking only minutes to reply. She met us on site to be sure everything was how we expected, and the owner who lives nearby also stopped in a couple times when we had questions. It was great to have the peace of mind that any issues would be handled right away. This property is perfectly suited for a large family gathering. There are two large living rooms with comfy couches. One living room has a large TV with regular cable as well as streaming. There are two dining tables, one in the room with the TV and another in a center room that was originally a log home. The kitchen served our needs perfectly, and every dish, plate, silverware, serving ware, appliance, you name it, it was there. And just in case you have massive amounts of food as we did, there's an additional fridge in the rec room and a small hotel fridge in the upper level. We appreciated the snacks and wine they provided! The upper level bedrooms are stunning. All the bedrooms have their own private bathroom except two that share a hallway bathroom. Plus there are additional bathrooms downstairs. One bedroom is downstairs because it is handicapped accessible which was great for our needs. All the descriptions of the rooms and bathrooms are accurate that are in the listing. It's very helpful! The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, which we appreciated since we were celebrating our family Christmas. We also requested an additional tree with lights but no ornaments for our ornament exchange and Dorothy had one ready for us! The rec room was pretty invaluable to us, because we have a lot of little ones that get kind of rowdy. The rec room is on the main level, but down a hallway (it's actually the 3-car garage converted into a rec room). This hallway provided some sound buffer and there was plenty for the kids to do! Pool table, foosball, ping-pong, and LOTS of toys! The kids had a great time. It was a little chilly in there but there was a space heater provided that did pretty good at keeping it comfortable. We can't say enough great things about this place, Dorothy and Jerry. I'd write more but I'm out of words! LOVE!!

Wonderful stay!

We had the best stay this past weekend. Dorothy was great at communicating with us. She was there to greet us upon check in to show us around the property. The house was beautiful, and perfect for our girl's weekend. There were so many little personal touched throughout the house that made the stay even better. We would all stay there again, it was a fantastic experience.

The entire family was able to come together to celebrate grandpa's retirement. Each family had there own room with the cousins staying in the Cousin Room (a bit exciting the first night but much better the second night when they were less excited and more tired). It was a treat to all be together in one place.

What the kids said, “This house is amazing I don’t want to go home.” What the adults said, “I’ve been to a lot of VRBO’s and this one by far is the most stocked on everything.” Talk about great hosts they had water in every room, plenty of snacks supplied on the main floor, fruit snacks in the cousins room, wine, and coffee. Plenty of towels and toilet paper. It was very welcoming. Just wow. We had a family of 17 and it fit everyone so well. There was so much space inside and out. Almost every room had their own bathroom! Being able to shower and use the bathroom when we want and not have to wait with a large group was awesome. It was nice not feeling cooped up in just a house because there was so much space outside. It was very fun kayaking and boating. Jerry kept our firewood stocked every night. The cherry on top are Dorothy and Jerry. They were wonderful. The property itself was great but to work with such great people like them is what makes us want to go back. They both are so friendly and accommodating. I can feel Dorothy smiling when I read her text messages. The communication exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend, and we will be back!

We rented this property for a team bonding trip. Plenty of space for our group of 20. Host was amazing to work with and provided a hassle free experience. We will be back!

We loved all the room, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. And the little extras like bottled water, snacks, cookware, dishwasher. I’m sure it is a lot of work to get cleaning completed between next guest arrivals. The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean, but we saw a lot of cobwebs in some rooms. And the beautiful outside of house is in need of power wash. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others.

Unique property inside and out. Rained most of the time - lots of space for everyone inside. Great game room - actually all rooms were fantastic! Water levels low which left poor beach quality and boating but enjoyed using the kayaks. Jerry and Dorothy were great!

Just everything was perfect! I have no concerns or complaints.

The house accommodated all 11 people on our sales team and offered a large enough living room for us to conduct all meetings.

The property was clean and well stocked. The game room was a bonus for everyone in the party especially the kids, which kept them busy the whole time we was there. The property is spacious with enough room to accommodate our party of 6 families. We had a wonderful time!!

Our family met here to celebrate our parent’s 50th anniversary. There were 4 families and a total of 15 people. This beautiful property had more than enough room for everyone to have their own space and for all of us to hang out together. The kids loved the huge game room and the outside area. With two full refrigerators and a well stocked kitchen we were able to make all our meals without a problem. The grill was large enough as well! Dorothy and Jerry made sure everything was perfect.

We loved the property! Jerry and Dorothy were both extremely attentive and welcoming. We had the water heater go out while we were there and Jerry had it replaced the next day!!! When we arrived they had stocked snacks for the kids and even included a bag of fruit snacks on each of the bunk beds! Access to all the kayaks and life jackets was the icing on the cake for us. Those kept the kids entertained for hours! Would definitely stay there again!

Excellent stay! Lots to do, both inside and out. Very clean! The lake was not ideal for swimming, but very good for fishing, boating, and a gorgeous view. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was so clean. The stocked snack rack was loved by all the kids and parents. There was plenty of room for our group of 10 adults and 7 kids. The game room was a game changer! Great place to hang out with the kids!

Our family get-a-way was wonderful. There was plenty of room for our group of 23. Dorothy was awesome to work with, making sure we had everything we needed. This is definitely on top of our list.
