I rarely give reviews because my expectations are high and not often exceeded. The Lavaca property was OUTSTANDING. The little things the owners did made it a great experience. The beds were very comfy, the furniture and fixtures were nice, the location was great and the property was everything advertised and more. Would not hesitate to recommend. The rooftop was fantastic.

Great house, super clean and cozy. We loved the location - walkable to the river walk, a cute park with restaurants. The neighborhood is going through renovations, but it was still ok.

Our group of 3 couples thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lavaca Oasis. It served as the perfect base for our long weekend in San Antonio. The house is well furnished, modern and very clean. Loved the spacious kitchen and dining / living area that allowed us to congregate and chill. After checking in with our hosts, we didn't need any further contact because everything was perfect.

We are a group of friends attending an annual conference. It was held in San Antonio two years ago and we reserved this same property. We were so impressed that we booked it again. It is convenient to everything we needed to do and is the perfect size for our group

Excellent property and location. Highly recommend using the Bird scooters to get to downtown/convention center area, less than 5 min ride.

The check in process was easy and quick. The location is great and the space the property provides allowed for our large family to have togetherness and space when needed. The amenities provided are perfect and we went home with clean laundry because there are two washers and dryers included in the rental. We will definitely make this place our first choice for rentals going forward.

Very nice home. Wish we could have stayed longer. The kitchen is nicely stocked with all the amenities you need. We had my family of 3 couples and the bedrooms were nicely spaced out for privacy and each had their own bath. The master bath is super fun with the rain shower and dual shower heads. Beds and linens were very nice. Everything was clean and true to or better than pictured. Easy access and great location. It was a great stay!

Get out and walk around to a local Coffee shop, bar or smoke shop. Plenty of restaurants, super cool vibe area. The place is ridiculous cool. What an awesome pad, it’s very updated and chill for one of the oldest neighborhoods in San Antonio. The 3rd floor deck on the roof totally makes this one of the coolest houses in the area. Chill at night under the tower on the roof and if you can’t relax here, you have a problem and don’t deserve it. Bed was bomb. Porch was chill, kitchen was really unique and awesome. It’s a definite 5 star for this one of a kind, old school, mafia style lookout. We loved our stay in this historic Southside barrio.

This VRBO will not disappoint, from the rooftop deck to the excellent location. Jump at the chance to stay here!! Also eat at Battalions at the end of the street. You will leave full, fat and happy!

This house was very close to the convention center and perfect for our stay while attending a conference. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. We had family join us and the house allowed for ample room. We had our 2 yr old with us, and they also provide all the needs for children (crib, highchair, baby-gate/playpen, with the exception of the baby proofing). The neighborhood looks as if it's undergoing a huge facelift, but we never felt unsafe.

Within walking distance to great food and fun! Home was clean and comfortable

Great little house for 2 couples. Neighborhood has a lot of new construction and other houses are being rehabbed. it will be a fabulous neighborhood in a few short years when this is all done. otherwise location was close to everything and the construction really didn't bother us. we would stay again.

The house was awesome! We loved everything about it and it was super easy to check in. We even had access to the front door camera while we were out and about. The location was great for everything we had planned.. the only thing we did not like was that there is a construction site right behind the property and they would start working super early and we could hear every thing. Other than that it was great! We definitely want to visit again.

Some work colleagues and I stayed here for a conference that was across the park at the convention center and had a wonderful time! Proximity to the convention center, King William district and downtown was great. The house is beautiful and it was wonderfully appointed. Loved it!

It is clean and nice house. Around the houses are not not nice like this house but can see the Tower of the Americas very closer in looftop. It was nice view at night time.

Treat yourself to this beautiful house, you will not be disappointed! It is everything you see in the photos and more. The mattresses, linens and pillows were exceptional. We used the rooftop terrace every evening and looked forward to winding down from our eventful days up there. The house is located within a 5-10 minute walk to all the must do's of San Antonio. The neighborhood is up and coming, but we never felt uneasy staying there. The neighbors were extremely friendly and helpful. Make sure to walk to the local neighborhood business district and experience all the unique bars and restaurants it has to offer. I have stayed in many VRBO's and this property by far is my favorite because of its unique and lavish amenities, as well as its comfort and location. Finally the property owner is exceptional to work with and extremely helpful. If you are visiting San Antonio this property is the place to stay. Don't think twice, you will not be dissappointed!

Besides the title here are the highlights of this property. Beautiful fully stocked coffee bar set-up with wine refrig; rooftop deck has and awesome kitchen plus a killer view; just a few blocks from some great restaurants and bars on S Alamo; just a few blocks from access to Riverwalk; lose proximity and access to highway system; super close to the Tower of the Americas and the Alamodome; amenities were posh; clean; easy text contact with hosts if needed... can’t say enough about how nice the place was.

We loved loved loved this house! While the neighborhood itself seems a little on the "up-and-coming" side, the house was thoughtfully renovated from top to bottom. We appreciated the ability to control the thermostat, the front door, and the security system from my phone. The bedrooms and the bathrooms were beautifully done, with plenty of space for relaxing and hanging out. Our daughter and son (7 and 2) were able to run around in the living room without it feeling cramped. The kitchen came with several nice touches, including a Keurig coffee machine, lots of pods and sweeteners/creamers, pots and pans, utensils, and a wine cooler! The laundry room was wonderful for any last minute cleaning (necessary with 2 littles). The deck was really cool and if we had stayed a little longer, we would have utilized it! The location was close to several San Antonio landmarks, i.e., you can clearly see the Tower of the Americas from the back porch and the living room and the River Walk is but a short walk or drive away. The Natural Bridge Cavern and Wildlife Safari were 30 minutes away, the SA Zoo was about 10 minutes away. Finally, communications with the host were great, from the day we arrived to the day we left. We had a great experience and will be sure to let all of our friends know when they visit San Antonio!

Melissa was great responding to my inquiries for different properties in advance of our trip. By default, due to my indecision not pulling the trigger due to Covid and no refund policy, this was the property still available but I’m glad we booked here. The place is exactly as shown in the photos. Nellie was helpful during our stay to assist with questions. The floors on the first floor are concrete with nice rugs. The beds were very comfortable and having 3 full bathrooms was amazing for our family. The LaVaca neighborhood is in transition with some homes renovated and some not but it’s an old city/neighborhood so work in progress. The area was quiet and safe. Easy Uber ride to Riverwalk at around $7-$8 one way. We didn’t use the rooftop as much as we hoped but it was too hot during our stay. We also considered a condo from River City Housing by Pearl district but glad we stayed closer to Riverwalk. The only wish during our stay would have been a couple clothes baskets and more laundry pods. We enjoyed the art and decorations inside the home and the chips/salsa and local mineral water was great upon arrival. Also directions for TV might be helpful especially for local channels. Once connected the home security was great. Thank you for a great stay in San Antonio!
