A perfect place for this family of four to spend our vacation. The beach chairs and boogie boards were used more than expected and greatly appreciated. The backyard oasis provided a perfect setting for us to spend time around the fire pit.

Great location. We had electric bikes so not being able to use the garage was an inconvenience. Living room furniture could be more comfortable for watching TV. Refrigerator has a loud vibrating noice. Bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms are a good size.

Absolutely incredible trip to Del Mar, the house was better than described and SO clean. The 3 minute walk to the beach was the best for us & the dog. The house was extremely comfortable and felt like home shortly after arriving. By far my best vacation rental experience and we will make this an annual trip moving forward. Great location & beach access, no huge cliffs to have to climb stairs. Not overly crowded at the beach. Great amenities in the house. We arrived late at night with the wrong code. Had to call a couple of numbers to get someone to give us the right code. A/C wasn’t working, third day up and running. King bed in primary with a double bed. We put our kids in the primary room & took the second room with a full size bed. Full size bed was fine but it needs to be replaced. It moves with you & makes lots of noises. Probably a bad spring. Just replace the mattress! Outdoor patio was great but the floor needs to be power washed, badly. Otherwise if your barefoot, the bottoms of your feet end up black. Also, the upstairs patio lock needs to be checked. My son & I got locked out. Beautifully landscape. Well stocked. We kept windows open (mainly because there was no a/c for a few days) but neighborhood was quiet and loved that we could keep them open. Train didn’t bother us. Fireplace in the living room was nice. We enjoyed our stay there!

We enjoyed our stay at the Vitamin Sea very much. The unit is updated and very comfortable. Perfect for a couple. The very best thing in my opinion is the location! Just a short walk to the beautiful Del Mar beach. My list of suggested improvements is short - living area furniture (couch and chairs) should be cleaned at the least or replaced at best; provide a second set of sheets for beds to make changing convenient; internet service drops periodically and speed not be adequate for remote work situations. We look forward to our next visit to Del Mar!

This was a amazing beach house with location next to nothing, only 1 block from the beach! Our family enjoyed the house and did not want to leave. Great experience and will definitely be back for a longer period.

We loved our stay! We have traveled to Del Mar for many years to enjoy a week of R & R with our kids but this was the first time we stayed in this home. We are so happy we ventured to try another rental for our stay because this home was perfect. Nice furnishings, clean, beautiful updates to the property, nice backyard space if needed. We could not park our SUV in the garage due to limited space on the side walls of Garage but we didn't mind. Our kids are still within age ranges that sharing a room or bed is not a problem so it worked out beautifully for our family of 5. Thank you for having us and we look forward to visiting next year!

My family of 4 stayed for 2 weeks and the place was well-stocked with pretty much everything we needed, so convenient to the beach in an area that's not too crowded, and an easy 15-min walk to town. One disappointment is we had high expectations from the photos, but they must have been taken when the furniture was brand new because everything felt more "tired" and lived-in than we expected from the pics. I wish we would have known that going in and would have had more realistic expectations. But overall, it was a good place.

We loved every aspect of our one week stay in this home. It was definitely one of those "yes - this is awesome" moments when we first opened the front door. I look forward to the chance to stay here again. A few particular things worth mentioning: Location - The location is phenomenal. It is a short 1.5 block walk to the beach, but being set back from Camino Del Mar means that there is little traffic noise. We heard the train, but it was really pretty subtle and did not bother us at all. Style - The house is super appealing inside and out. Nice furniture, furnishings and lighting. Lots of natural light from windows in the unit. Amenities - This house is stocked with everything one could need. Comfy blankets for hanging on the sofa; outdoor fireplace and shower; real washer and dryer; dishes, cooking utensils etc.; outdoor sporting goods such as paddleboards, beach chairs, boogie boards etc. This place literally has everything to make your stay comfortable. Communication - The management company was proactive in communications. I particularly appreciated the approach to early check in and late check out. They are automatically provided and communicated if available. Slight negatives. 1. The queen bed in the second bedroom isn't particularly comfortable. Our kids complained about it being bouncy and I agree. Maybe this could be replaced? 2. It's a little awkward to have the daybed in the master. 3. The shower in the second bathroom was kind of hard to turn on and off -- my kids ended up showering in the master. 4. There's a strange smell that's particularly noticeable upstairs. We kept the windows open. None of these things should dissuade anyone from staying at the house. All in all, a 5-star experience.

Various light bulbs were out when we arrived. Fire alarms were beeping bc batteries needed to be replaced. The house had no cleaning products to even be able to wipe kitchen counters down after use. The house has a moldy smell. All the towels provided also smelled moldy. And it’s right next to the train track so the sound of the train is extremely loud and shakes the whole house. The train is constantly passing all night and all day. The house is walking distance from the beach though which was basically the only redeeming quality.

It had everything we needed for our short two night stay. We commented that this would be a great house to rent for a week in the summer to enjoy the beach.
