Nice central location very clean and modern

Lots of steep steps to the property very dirty and slippery outside area no cleaning products left for use eg dishwasher tablets washing up bowl

Everything - 4 x over 60yrs old women had to climb stairs, darkness, filthy grounds, drug dealers around the location & opposite property. Friend slipped outside due to bad and slippery flooring. Friend suffering with a bad heart walking up nasty staircase where used needles were seen on the ground. We all felt vulnerable and scared as different men & women were hanging around the property whilst drug dealers were dealing. We have taken plenty of photos in order to fight for our monies back. There was a fraudulent transaction made from my credit card, which was fraudulent as I did not give anyone the authority to withdraw funds for a property we did not book. Our order for Rose Cottage was made and paid on 24th April 2024, 7 days later it was cancelled by somebody accusing me for that cancellation, then on the 1st May 2024 another property replaced what we booked for and funds was taken from my credit showing the price of the replacement property which I did not give authority for this transaction the same I did not give authority to cancel our original booking. At this point we were not aware that the property had changed because we did not received any notification of this. It all came to light upon arrival at Rose Cottage on the 18th October that somebody else was there already. We then checked the information received a couple of days before our travel did we then realise, We've been scammed. This situation is and will be taken forward for investigation as nobody is providing evidence or proof that I made this cancellation. A gentleman by the name of Salim asked for my email address via chat in order to send a code for the ferry, the code sent was not accepted by Wightlink ferries. We have taken loads of photos of the property pushed on us in order to fight for our money back. Vulnerable women located in a dark, backstreet area and an area where drugs dealings were happening.

Location was good

Apartment could have been cleaner overall. The sofa bed was unusable as it was so uncomfortable and it wasn’t the cleanest, so really has two double beds so sleeps 4. Outside the apartment and the neighbouring properties are unpleasant and not a great welcome. There is decking outside which was slippy when it rained and the metal staircase leading to the apartment needed better lighting, it was pitch black on an evening, does have a light as you approach the door, but the stairway does need lighting, not ideal for anyone with mobility issues or prams. Couldn’t use oven as all the temperatures and settings have been scrubbed off, couldn’t get washer to work but this could have just been me, but no user manual. Towels were on the smaller size would recommend taking your own. En-suite shower in master room is only suitable for a smaller person and the floor will get soaked when using it, however the bath in the main bathroom is lovely a spacious and was nice and clean.

The access to the property was not at all acceptable and suitable

Flat was nice and spacious.

Top floor shower curtain was stained with moulds. After checking out the host called that he could not find the keys in the lock box and demanded that I leave my breakfast in the restaurant and return to the property even though I insisted that I had left the keys in the lock box. Clearly he didn’t believe we had checked out. I was horrified and confused as I had left the key in the lockbox as required. My 11 year old son and I had to stop our meal, carry our luggages back up the hill to the property only to get another call apologising that the cleaner had taken the keys and was inside cleaning but could not hear his knocks on the door. Couldn’t he have checked with the cleaner first before making such assumptions and inconveniencing us? He didn’t sound to me a nice person and I will not stay there a second time.

The accommodation was spacious and within walking distance of shops and transport.

The location was noisey as near to the high street and up a hilly approach. The outside of the property was very unwelcoming, but nice once you were inside and very spacious. Certain parts of the property, carpets and en-suite could do with a face-lift.

It is exactly as in the website.... No catch at all

I will not say i didn't like it but the instruction to find the entrance was bit confusion for me.. Apart from that everything was superb

Spacious for a family, as described and in town

The double bed was in an awful condition. The mattress was completely worn. It’s not just a case of ‘I didn’t find this mattress comfortable’ .. the mattress was not fit for purpose for two grown adults sharing the bed.
