We were visiting for the Masters and some golf. Johns house was amazing and everything as advertised and more. Host was very responsive, and welcoming. We will absolutely be back.

We've stayed at John's beautiful home several times, and this time we brought Grandma to celebrate her birthday with the teens. There was plenty of room for all, and the house is easy for someone who has to be careful on her feet. The sidewalk down to the dock was not hard for her, and the walk-in shower worked well. As usual, the home is spotless, with everything you need at hand. The lake was quiet and perfect for morning kayaking. Can't wait to go back!

This is our 2nd year at John’s property on Lake Oconee. There are 7 of us in our 70’s and 80’s who have been friends for, well, years! This house offers privacy, serenity and a peaceful atmosphere. We enjoy the fire pit and the kayaks. But we especially love gathering on the back porch around the table for games, dining and lots of laughter. Thank-you John for another beautiful week!

Our entire family met at the lake to celebrate my husband’s 60th Birthday. The home was perfect — enough bedrooms, enough baths, spectacular views, game room, large kitchen and several dining areas (inside and out). Having kayaks and a paddleboard available for use was a huge plus! We also rented a boat and had it delivered to the dock. The extra touches of having firewood available for the fire pit, as well as all the makings for s’mores was the cherry on top. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back. The home is beautiful and John was a great host!

The site is very family friendly. We have a 3 yr old to 15 yr old and there is something for everyone. The house is spacious and space for everyone. The bedroom and bath downstairs was perfect for our teenager. The beach area at the lake was fantastic. With kayaks and paddleboard, there was something for all kids and adults as well. Even the 3 yr old learned to kayak using the youth board. (very well supervised of coarse) I would recommend this to everyone.

A wonderful experience with a perfect setting. A group celebrating some of our 65th birthdays looking for someplace with a beautiful view and amenities. This filled the bill. One benefit was 4 bedrooms on the main and a full master on the terrace level. Great deck overlooking the lake where we spent the better part of our trip. Very well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, excellent towels and sheets. Highly recommended with a very accomodating and responsive host.

We had two families - with five children age infant through four - and this house fit us perfectly. Comfortable space for both the kids and adults. The beachy area was perfect for our young kids, though they also loved fishing and jumping off the dock. The adults loved kayaking and paddleboarding. We rented a pontoon boat, which was our favorite thing of the week. One thing just to note: This house is definitely in a more remote area of the lake, and it took a solid 20-25 minutes to get to anything like the grocery store or restaurants.

We love this house so much we came back. Ample room for our party of 10 and lots of personal touches like 5 kayaks, a SUP board, life jackets, fire pit, beach..even had s’more supplies ready for us. The ONLY addition I’d suggest is a second fridge in the garage, our party of 10 had lots of eats and drinks and more cold space would have been great. Thanks for your superb hospitality. The G’s. If you aren't prepared to stay here every year for a family tradition going forward, avoid at all costs 😂😂 Every single speaking human (we had 2 under 1.5 years so they get a pass) in our 12-person party independently said at various points during our stay that 1) They love this lake 2) They were having the most fun of their summer 3) They love the HOUSE 4) They never want to go home (or leave the water/beach area 😂) 5) This had better be our next family tradition So in short, we had a fantastic stay - the house layout was remarkably efficient and spacious for our 3 families with 6 kids. The kayaks were great fun, we rented a boat and docked it at the house easily. The VIEWS from the house were breathtaking, and looking at forested lakefront and not other homes across the water was so peaceful and felt like we were really "away." The house was clean, well-furnished, and cool during arguably the hottest week of the year. It was even comfortable sitting on the covered porch with the fan on or down by the water in the >100 degree temps. The games downstairs were great for kids and family fun as well. The owner was quick in responding to some questions I had in advance of and during our stay, and he very helpfully reminded us about the trash center hours during the week so we weren't in a pickle on checkout morning. Basically, this was an amazing experience - our family made lasting core memories this week, and we are all so grateful for the opportunity to stay here!

This was our second stay in this wonderful property. We had a great stay with our grown children and's school age grandchildren. A family reunion held events nearby so the location was convenient. Inside the home, everything was ready for us-the clean kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed dining all together at the big table. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Having ensuite baths was great. The game room downstairs allowed the younger people to have a place to play while the older folks had the quiet relaxed area upstairs. Outside, we enjoyed our morning coffee on the covered porch. The private beach area with access to the private dock was wonderful! The grandkids had a great time paddling kayaks that were just their size! We would definitely rent again.

My family had a wonderful time relaxing on the lake. This is the perfect quiet spot for a family get together.

John’s place is in a very special setting at quiet lower part of Lake Oconee. The house both inside and outside was beautiful, very clean, with super comfortable furniture and beds, outstanding views and ability to enjoy them. The kitchen appliances were great, the small beach on the property great for grandkids and taking off on kayaks and paddle boards - we brought ours and John had plenty . So much to do - we rented pontoon which docked easily and had a blast water skiing, tubing and visiting rest of our extended family who rented a house a mile and a half by water up the lake. I also found John to be so easy to connect with and always answered questions readily, offered helpful tips and was always a bonus sting. Thank you John for sharing your lovely home. We so enjoyed it and would love to return in future .

We had a great time on our trip! Although my daughter and her family did not get to come, my son, his family, my husband and I really enjoyed everything. The house was very clean! The kids loved the kayaks!!! They want to buy some now! We made s'mores thanks to the host. Everyone played pool! We could not have asked for a better place!! Thank you!

This is our third family trip to this lake house, so we obviously love it. It is spotless, perfect in size, and we love using the provided kayaks and enjoying the lake. John is a dream to work with. Another perfect trip.

This was the perfect place for me and my family to enjoy a relaxing New Year’s stay. We visit the lake every year and this is one of our favorite properties! The house is tucked away in a quite cove where we could enjoy the picturesque view of the lake on the porch every morning! It had everything we needed including a fully stocked kitchen for all of our meals, a pool table, kayaks, and a fire pit (thanks John for providing the s’mores!) Communication and access to the property was easy and seamless as well! We highly recommend this rental for every season!

Enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday with family. The kitchen is very well equipped and the house is laid out well for a large group. Beautiful place on the lake. Will definitely be back

We loved it!

House had plenty of space for two families. The younger kids loved the beach area and it is a quiet part of the lake for swimming and kayaking.

We had the privilege of staying in this lovely home to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with our children and grandchildren. From the road the home is deceiving but when you walk in you realize you have hit the lottery. The lay out is ideal, especially for a family.The pool table, dock, fire pit and sandy beach checks all the boxes for a perfect stay.

This house was a great place to take our family along with grandchildren for the week. House was very clean and kitchen well equipped. Quiet, peaceful setting with deer wandering though the neighborhood. The zero-entry beach was a great place to swim and play with our very young grandkids. Owners were responsive with questions and concerns. Would definitely rent here again

This was an awesome house and the lake was beautiful. House was very well stocked and extremely clean. We had a great time and would come back again.

The Lake house offered everything you would want for a week at the lake. The rooms were large, all furniture was very comfortable and house very clean. The dining table on the balcony over looking the lake was used very night. The beach and dock worked very well with our kids.

This was our 10th summer lake vacation. And this is the one we will return to over and over. Many of the houses we’ve stayed in offered great things but this house exceeded all of our needs and wants. The house was immaculate inside and out and very spacious. The beds, pillows and comforters were very comfortable and upgraded per all adults (all slept soundly). We had dinner at the inside dinning table and lunches on the spacious table outside, the kitchen was well stocked for daily meals. We utilized the pool table/game area downstairs at night for family gatherings. The upstairs living room also provided ample space for the 11 of us to gather together. It’s a great house for a fun family game of Sardines(seek and hide). We loved the privacy of the cove. The table and chairs on the dock were much appreciated! We LOVED that it provided both deep water directly off the dock for the older swimmers and beach access for younger. The dual docks were great for swimmers off the large platform and fishers on the small dock at the same time. It was only 30 min. by water to the rental company we used for a boat and jet skis. Thank you for the yummy s’more supplies. We enjoyed a summer fire and s’more on the beach. We have never had so many kayaks and that was a blessing for many of us to go at the same time. We will be back!
