Great cabin as advertised. Spacious, which was nice after small places we had stayed. Everything worked great. Good hiking in the area and some black beaches. Good access to the east fjords as well. Very relaxing.

We had a great time in the cabin. It easily accommodated 4 adults and 1 child but has space for additional people. We enjoyed the nice kitchen space with a table to seat all of us easily. The house is comfortable, bright, away from the road. The sheep come by on occasion too.
Would stay here again.
Jon communicated very well and responded quickly.

We had a wonderful stay with our 3 children (16, 18 and 21) at this home. Everything was perfect, plenty of room and privacy for all. We loved the daily visits from the local sheep! Great communication from the host.

The main roads to the property were closed due to weather and when we reached out to the host they answered immediately. Great response time. Overall location was good. The dryer was broken when we arrived so we were unable to do laundry which was really a bummer. The toilets had staining in them and some of the kitchen dishes and cookware weren’t clean when we arrived. Overall it was a nice stay though.

We had a great stay- house was just as described in the listing. Beds were comfortable and there was great space for eating and relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked. Communications with Jon were easy and prompt. We enjoyed our stay!! Thank you.

Modern, clean house. Very isolated and quiet. Everything is as pictured. Pleasant short walk in the woods and to the nearby river overlook. We were very happy with our stay!

This was our first visit to Iceland and we were travelling with another family so a total of 8 people with teenage kids. Jon, our host was very responsive. Since we arrived at the property very late at night around 11pm, it was a little confusing to find the place. But Jon gave us really good instructions that helped a lot. Also the place was exactly as pictured. We had a wonderful stay at the property. Check in and check out was a breeze. We would definitely use this place whenever we visit Iceland again.

The house was very nice, clean and cozy.
The property is beautiful with sheep and open views.
It’s a bit far from the nearest town so you have to come prepared.
My only issue was with the lack of some basic kitchen equipment.

Borgarbrekka Lodge is a wonderful place to stay, perfect for venturing towards the East fjords, but equally not far from Hofn and even Diamond Beach. The property is spacious and very comfortable, and the owner extremely helpful. Highly recommended!

Such a great house with many amenities. Excellent location to east and south coast of Iceland. Very clean and comfortable and well equipped for a group. I will stay here again! Easy booking experience and very responsive.
