While we loved the little cottage, backing up to a bar and right over a busy restaurant did not make it easy to relax. We never got to enjoy our little patio because of all the restaurant patrons right below and forget a nap. We were disappointed with the lack of privacy.

Well renovated with authentic looks. Everything you need is furnished on site for a comfortable stay. Great central location, with an excellent sushi restaurant on the front street (little noise when business putting daily trash outside on the curb). No parking on premises, 2 hours free in the street, afterwards you need to move your car to the free zone near by, access all by foot. Very clean city surrounded by flowers. Visit the 17 mile drive Monterey.

This place is just as adorable as it looks online. It’s in the heart of town and a short walk from the gorgeous beach. The communication with the property manager was super easy. I didn’t want to leave! If you are thinking of booking this place then do it. You won’t regret it.

What an amazing location. It was central to everything you could imagine. Initially I thought street parking was going to be an issue but it wasn’t bad at all. I would stay here again.

Ideal for a weekend stay, the apartment is cozy and situated in the heart of the city. It's within walking distance from the best restaurants, shops, and the beach. The Sanctuary staff is exceptionally friendly and helped us with small details throughout our stay. We would definitely choose to come back here!

This home is located in a great location. Close to beach and shopping. We enjoyed the stay. Clean and cute cottage located above shops and a restaurant. We plan to stay again on future visits.

Comfortable bed, great location, 2 blocks from Ocean Ave. (Carmel’s Main Street.) Walking distance from beach. Parking was easy to find. The Sushi restaurant downstairs is great as well as the staff. Hog’s Breath is through the back alley below. The noise from both places wasn’t an issue at all. We had our pup with us and it all worked out perfect.

We had a lovely time at The Artist's Way. Loved the location, Toro the restaurant in the courtyard was perfect. Easy walking distance to everything. My husband had trouble with the stairs, but he very frail. I would stay there again!

It was very charming and as advertised. Only small issues were: (1) it smells a little strange, might need to mask it with a candle or something; (2) the check in / out process involves doing a bit of paperwork. These were minor annoyances, but overall it was a great stay. The place was clean and beautiful, in a great location with friendly neighbors. We would recommend it

Homey, quaint, clean apartment that we called home. Superb location amongst the heart of Carmel, just above an alleyway full of galleries and a restaurant. Rain plagued our trip and spent most of our time in the apartment and didn't mind at all. Property management called to welcome us and make sure everything was in order.

I stayed here three nights with my two adult daughters. The main bed is a double and there is a hide-a-bed in the living room. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with coffee K cups and coffee filled filter inserts. They left us wine and cheese with crackers. Such a gracious touch. The only negative was the hide-a-bed was not ready with sheets but we corrected that. Lovely stay in Carmel!!

The place was immaculate, cozy and extremely well appointed. Really appreciated the Britta water filter in the fridge. Wished check out time wasn’t so early, and there was some confusion finding the place, difficultly reaching someone to help, but otherwise a great visit. Would def stay again.

Adorable and well appointed place right in downtown. It has the charm of somewhere you would stay in Europe, but with walkable access to shops, food and of course the beach. The restaurant below (Toro), had the most friendly and welcoming staff and don’t worry about noise as everything closes at 9pm in Carmel. We have stayed at all the major hotels in Carmel/Pebble and Carmel Valley and this was a really fun way to change it up and have walking access to everything.
