Everything that was advertised was spot on.

My husband and I took our parents, kids, and uncle on a family vacation. Dreams End was everything listed and so much more. Pulling up to the house all our jaws dropped instantly. It was absolutely beautiful!! The kids ran inside looking for the perfect room. Once they found it they immediately put on swimwear to jump in the pool. We all had a wonderful time. From waking up and walking to the beach to watch the sun rise, to sitting on the top deck looking out over the ocean, to seeing wild horses walk right up beside our pool. We got to watch "Ethan' the baby run and play while we ate dinner. We watched the sunset from the front deck. Star gazed from the pool and the platform. It was definitely a trip we will never forget and are already planning on coming back to Dreams End!! The owners were amazing. When I called they answered and even sent messages while there. The pictures dont do it justice. You have to see it with your own eyes. It is a beautiful home!!

This place was great. We were there for a family vacation and had 3 toddlers and 2 babies. The toddlers were always busy. Watching the horses that came through daily, swimming going to beach or just playing on sand outside door. Every room had access to outside and the sunrises are beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals for our large group. The owners checked in with me to make sure everything was going good. I would highly recommend this place.

1st - communication with the hosts is perfect. Both before our trip & during, we felt well prepared for our stay in the home & area. The owners were very thoughtful & we appreciated their offer with potential bad weather in the area. 2nd - the house was fantastic for our family vacation. The location on the 4x4 beach is in a great location on the sand beach - not too far up that driving to Corolla or further south was an inconvenience, yet far enough to get a true feel of a 4x4 beach vacation. The pool was a must for children - times when too windy or surf too rough at the beach 3rd Definitely spoiled by the daily visits of 2-5 wild horses! Highly recommend!

The house and property are great! Fantastic views of the dunes and ocean. Walk to the beach. Take a dip in the pool. Great hot tub. Lots of space for our family of 8. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Just note, the beach is in the 4X4 area. It is busy all day and not a tranquil beach environment. Great week in the OBX!

Very comfortable and enjoyable

The house was beautiful. Very spacious and loved each bedroom having it's own bathroom. Fully stocked (more than any other rental). The McGowan's were great to deal with, from day one to check out. I was very pleased. An A ++. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at dreams end. The house had so many wonderful amenities. Kids loved the game room. Everything was updated and clean. Horses seen daily, as well as dolphins. Wonderful place to disconnect and enjoy friends and family time. Can’t wait for 2024!

What an amazing place to stay! We took our entire family (9 people) here for our summer vacation and had an great time! The home was beautiful and spacious. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, plenty of common areas for relaxing, all the amenities you would need in the kitchen, great pool and hot tub, and WILD HORSES!! Nothing but good things to say! Seamus and Caiti were amazing hosts with great communication! They made the whole process so easy!! We highly recommend staying at Dreams End…you won’t be disappointed!!

If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation, this place is exactly what you’re looking for. This property is exactly as advertised and communication with the owners is excellent. Everything is beautiful and well stocked. The view is amazing on all sides of the house and you get daily visits from the horses. The drive up to the house on the beach is beautiful but you MUST air down and stay out of the surf. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area again.

This property is a beautiful home with everything you need for a great vacation. We had 4 kids and 8 adults and had no problems fitting everyone. The owners respond very promptly.

We had a wonderful time at this property. Seamus and Caiti were easy to contact and always responsive. The property was clean and had plenty of space for our group of 13. We even had a total rain day and the kids were able to play downstairs and in the game room all day. We have rented several beach houses in NC, SC, and FL and this was by far our favorite. The only downside, which has nothing to do with the house, is the location. Be sure to follow all directions for driving on sand and the hosts’ directions, not google maps, or you will do some serious off roading. While the beach road isn’t directly in front of the house due to the dunes, you do have to cross it to get to the beach. It may have just been our week but the beach and road were very crowded. We had very little beach room between the road and the sheriff constantly driving on the water line that the kids had nowhere safe play. After a vehicle flipped and almost hit us, we stayed in the pool for the rest of the week. Again, this has nothing to do with the house or host. We were not fully prepared for the 4x4 area, but we’re happy we gave it a try. If the 4x4 region is your thing, I can’t recommend this house more! Even with this being our least favorite beach, we still had a fantastic trip due to the high quality of this property.

Dream’s End exceeded our expectations. The hosts were extremely accommodating, the location was superb, and the Corolla horses coupled with dolphin visitors provided entertainment.

Dreams End is a beautiful home, and it was perfect for our family of 10. It is nicely furnished, and the kitchen is fully stocked with most any appliance or utensil you may need. Everything was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and the owners could not have been more accommodating and helpful during our stay. The home is just a short walk over one sand dune to the beach and there is even a nice sun deck on the top of the dune where you can relax, sun bath, or do yoga. The wild horses in the area are truly amazing and there were always 6-7 of them that would graze on the grass growing all around Dreams End every day. I know we saw way more wild horses from the Dreams End balconies then the folks who paid $57 each for a Wild Horse Driving Tour! Lastly, pay attention to all those who tell you to reduce your vehicle tire pressure to 15-20 psi and don't even think about driving on the 4 miles of beach to get to this house without a 4WD or AWD vehicle! Beach driving may be a little bit intimidating for some folks, especially during high tide, so be aware of that requirement to get to the house. All in all we really enjoyed our OBX beach adventure, and we appreciate the McGowan family for making our stay in their home a wonderful time.

We were a four family group of 15. This house fit us perfectly. The parents each had their own room and the kids fit in the bunk rooms. (8 adults 7 kids aged 3-17). The house was very clean. The beds were surprisingly extremely comfortable, we all slept great! ( Huge plus in my book) The kitchen was one of the best stocked in a house we have stayed at. There was plenty of pots and pans to cook for our group with ease. We paid to have the pool heated since we stayed early in the season. That was money well spent. The pool was at a decent temperature by the next morning. We had very windy weather that kept the temperature cool and the pool was warm enough that we couldn’t keep the kids out. The men in our group got a huge kick out exploring the 4x4 area. We did several of our own excursions. (In fairness my family has done a lot off off roading and made sure the rest of our group was prepared) I would suggest you bring your own automatic bleeders and compressor if possible. We noticed lines at times at the free air stations. We saw the horses every day and dolphins a couple of times. The property was as described. The owners were very communicative. They let us know the day we were checking in of a broken toilet handle for the outside toilet and had a repairmen thereto fix it on Monday. They responded to all our inquiries and were fantastic hosts. Thank you Caiti and Seamus for a great trip we would definitely rent the house again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful home and location! The house was very clean and suitable for our needs. Property owners very helpful and always available. We enjoyed our stay very much, even saw horses!

We arrived just after a tropical storm passed to the south. I think all are warned about the beach drive and why 4x4 is necessary. There were no warnings about the back roads and puddles that will swallow even the lifted 4x4 vehicles. Terrifying to say the least. Many vehicles left stranded. Watch out for those puddles. The house was nice and very spacious. If it weren’t for the end of the season and just after a storm I think we would have been a bit more impressed. We were very happy to see the horses daily on the beach and on the property. Dolphins were also easy to view. Lucky enough to see the loggerhead turtles hatching as well. If you have a large group and want to be on the beach, you will be happy with this well stocked property. The owners are very responsive and kind. They followed through several times just to check in.

Even though we got ‘caught and stuck’ in the outer bands of hurricane Ian the last day of our trip (which was quite unnerving), that did not ruin our stay at Dreams End. All 10 of us who stayed would go back in a heartbeat. The location was simply incredible. The house was a great beach house with all the amenities you need. It was spacious, clean, comfortable and oh yeah, it had such beautiful views. The pool and hot tub provided great times. The decks and high quality deck chairs were well used by us. The beach was a two minute walk from the house over the dunes, although we used our vehicles to haul everything and drive over to the beach and park right by the path to the house - numerous times. It was great doing it that way with our whole group. We had three 4x4 vehicles, a Jeep, a Ford F-150 and a Ford Explorer - all which did well driving up and down the beach, sometimes in rough conditions. Overall the best compliment I can give is that we can’t wait to go back. It was a very special family vacation.

From booking, check in and checking out Seamus was so helpful and on top of every question. There were 10 of us with plenty of room. The wild life was amazing from wild horses in the morning until nighttime, dolphins everyday even saw a sea turtle. Sunrises and Sunset were breath taking. Morning coffees on the deck to cocktails at night. Beach and sun deck were amazing. Cant say enough great things about this location. Dream's End when we left. Thank you again Seamus for a memorable vacation.

As we have stayed here previously it did not disappoint. It had everything we needed and was clean. We were happy with another easy week.

Great sunrise views, easy access to beach, horses visited us multiple times throughout our stay, first trip down the 4X4 was a bit nerve wrecking but once you get used to it not bad at all. Very peaceful and quiet setting. The kids loved the pool. The owners were very informative and give you everything you need to know to have a great stay. We hope to comeback again someday.

We just finished our family vacation in the OBX and we couldn’t be happier with our experience at Dreams End! The McGowan family made everything very easy and accessible from booking to check out which eliminated any stress that could come along with renting a home for vacation. The house itself is beautiful. The views are amazing and the location can’t be beat. You’re literally on the beach! We were visited by the wild horses 4 of 7 days and got some pretty great pictures of them right in the back yard! The house is nice and spacious which was perfect for our family gathering. There were 16 of us and not once were we in each others way. Each couple had their own room with king bed (extremely comfortable) and private bath and we had 2 extra rooms where the kids stayed and had their space. There was even a second living room where the kids watched movies at night. The pool and hot tub area was clean and big enough to accommodate all of us. Even had a shower and bathroom pool level! The game room was used more than I thought it would be as well. Had a couple of passing storms and we spent some time in there playing the video games and football. This renal is a 10 out of 10 and we can’t wait to visit again!

We had a wonderful family vacation at dreams end. Seamus and Caitlin are great hosts and very responsive to questions. The house is perfect for a large family with great family areas and great privacy. The horses were on the front porch one morning and we saw horses most days from the kitchen. The beach is amazing! We saw dolphins every day. This area and home are a real treat!!!

Dream's End exceeded our expectations in a beach vacation!! The property was beautiful and perfectly designed for a large group. It literally had everything you would want in a beach house. The owners were wonderful to work with and were quick to answer any questions that we had. We loved seeing the wild horses daily and watching dolphins right from the porch! The pool/hot tub area was wonderful for both the children and adults. Best of all, the beach was just steps away from the house! It was the perfect combination of a week of relaxation, yet full of activities. Hands down, our favorite vacation!

House has everything you need, enough room for everyone to congregate family room kitchen area, everyone could sit at the table for meals, more than enough plates, silverware, glasses, pots pans,etc. Beds were very comfortable. You can walk right over the dunes and your on the beach and you can drive your car onto beach, no lugging coolers,chairs and the like. Pool and hot tub were enjoyed by all. Owners texted us a couple times during the week to make sure we were doing ok. It was a fantastic vacation. We will be back

This property is absolutely breathtaking and we couldn't have asked for a better location to spend our week away with family! It was steps to the beach or a short drive. Plenty of indoor activities for a rainy day. The beauty of the Corolla horses was something out of a fairytale picture book! Communication was open before, during, and after with the owners if needed. We hope to return. Thank you for sharing your Dreams End with us!

Property was as pictured and more. Met our needs as far as bedrooms & space for the size of our family of 16 & was very well maintained. Living area was open and allowed plenty of space for eating and for us to be together as a family to play games. The multiple decks had high end furniture and plenty of seating to enjoy the views and the horses that came to visit us every day. The game room was perfect for our teen and older grandkids. Pool and hot tub were great. Setting was awesome - right on the beach and location was great for sunrises as well as sunsets. This house had everything for everyone. Owner had everything we needed as far as dishes, pots & pans. Owner was very responsive to questions and supplied plenty of information for us as this was our first visit to OBX. Would highly recommend this property.
