Tudo perfeito. Em primeiro lugar, a localização. A herdade localiza-se na margem do lago Alqueva - é possível chegar à beira da água numa agradável caminhada de menos de 10 minutos -, em plena paisagem de montado. Por isso, as vistas de qualquer sítio da herdade são inacreditáveis. Mais, a equipa do Montimerso sabe tirar proveito deste privilégio. Todos os espaços exteriores são muito bem cuidados e são disponibilizadas bicicletas para passear pela herdade. Depois, os quartos são extremamente confortáveis, todos pensados para tirar o máximo proveito da vista para o Alqueva ou Monsaraz. Por último, a decoração. Alia a modernidade com a essência alentejana - desde os tapetes do quarto à manta em cima da cama. Adorámos!
É difícil arranjar defeitos. A única coisa a apontar é o isolamento sonoro dos quartos que deixa um bocadinho a desejar.

Gostámos da simpatia dos funcionários do hotel onde fomos muito bem recebidos.
A localização é mesmo fantástica, encontrando-se num sítio fabuloso frente ao Alqueva. A paz e tranquilidade são o ponto forte deste hotel.

We had a private pool on the terrace, with a spacious room
The dogs live in a house, which door you must pass to get to your room. When they are outside, they react very protective/agressive. It happened to us three times during our two night stay. I had to get to reception and ask to help me pass twice. And I like dogs! This should not be in a hotel in that price range, thats more a B&B situation.

Just the perfect place for a rest and recovery.. Everything was clean and neat, the pool and surroundings are incredible with Alqueva always on the sight, breakfast is very tasty and fresh, staff was 100% friendly and nice on all occasions, always with a smile on their faces, all of them have spoiled our little dog (Ellie) including the other sweet dogs in the villa. all in all, absolutely recommend it - peaceful, quiet and full of positivity, where you can really connect with nature!

We stayed in different type of the room. First night room with a lake view without a plugged pool. 2nd night stayed with a view of countryside with a plugged pool. Both room are amazing with spectacular view. Our favorite is the one facing country side with plugged pool as it is facing Monsaraz castle. We traveled with our dog and the property is dog friendly hotel. This is the place where you wanna get away from hustle bustle life. Definitely will be back to this hotel.
Not forgot to mentioned that the staff is super helpful and friendly.

Wonderful facility for a quiet stay and trekking experience. Good location for star gazing, albeit not truly a dark sky location.
Handicapped bathroom needs to have more grab bars for easier access.

The room and view were excellent, as were the staff. The food was out of this world. I would also mention that there was no sound at all making a very peaceful and relaxing get away. Highly recommended if you want tranquility.

The location was very nice and allowed to have the most beautiful view on a marvellous night sky filled with stars.
Breakfast (during the week, as during the weekend it seems to be different in the form of a buffet) was a bit disappointing (e.g cheese and ham were only of one sort and seemingly from the supermarket)..
If you sleep with an open window you can hear the highway at distance, which destroy the magic of the remoteness.
The restaurant was closed on the day of arrival and à la carte (with no special dishes) and not set menu as written in the website etc.

This is a gem of a place. But beware and do your research - it is pretty much middle of nowhere - which is one of its plus points! We had the Alqueva suite with private plunge pool and view of the lake - stunning. We had a flawless sky and so really got to appreciate the stars and the milky way. The room is huge and beautifully presented. The staff were amazing and could not have been more helpful - booking trips for us and generally being there for everything we needed. We will be going back to see the spring in full bloom.
It is hard to dislike anything here but if I had to give them a recommendation - the restaurant is just a little bit too much like a cafe. In the evening it is a little bright and lacks a little atmosphere.

Not having TV in the room by the staff immediately provided one. To go on winter it could have an inside swimming pool.
