Probably the best rental we have ever stayed at - the location and views were GORGEOUS! The house is so so comfortable and the kitchen so well supplied that you actually won’t believe it’s a rental. My elderly parents had a spacious room on the main floor, our kids played cards at the big kitchen table into the night- just a superb place. Crystal was so accommodating and helped went above and beyond with our boat inquiries. We hope we will have a chance to return.

Heron’s Crossing was a great place for our extended family Christmas gathering. The decorations were beautiful and everything about the property was perfect!

This was our second time renting at Heron’s Crossing - we love it here! The house has everything you could want from a fully stocked kitchen, to puzzles and games for all ages, to kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets, and lawn games. All the bedrooms are beautiful! The yard and gardens are amazing and the views are out of this world. The kids had so much fun kayaking and paddle boarding on their own this time. We can’t wait to come back!

This property (both the grounds and house) is outstanding! We had an absolutely fantastic experience staying in this house for 5 days. The kitchen is so well stocked - just like my own! The house is spacious with beautiful beds and linen. The owner is so friendly and was so helpful in providing information about caterers and how to set up for a planned rehearsal dinner at the house etc. We had lovely folding tables in addition to patio tables and numerous chairs for our use, and so we were easily able to host an absolutely stunning rehearsal dinner outside!! I can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience was in the house. We felt right at home immediately and lacked for nothing! Thank you, thank you, thank you to the wonderful home owner for allowing us the use of this house for our island visit for our son’s wedding!

This is a large house that is in excellent condition and has everything you could possibly need. For children it is great. There is a fairly large lawn where we played many games and of course there is the bay. This particular property is on a smaller bay of the much larger Useless Bay which has a 'stream' running through it at low tide which is absolutely great for the kids to use the kayaks and SUPs which are supplied. Wonderful trip.

We had the absolute best time at Heron's Crossing. House is spacious, yard is gorgeous, and the view can't be beat! Owner is great too. We hope to be back!

The property was more than advertised. The house was located right on the beach with beautiful gardens front back. There was also a well-manicured lawn on the front that as perfect place for both kids and adults to play. The house itself was nicely furnished and had lots of windows providing great views of the beach. The kitchen was well stocked and to top it all off, the property owned provided a welcoming pie and bottle of wine. Highly recommend.

We hosted our wedding weekend here and it was just perfect. Crystal was communicative and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. It’s a truly special property that I know we and our family will revisit for years to come!

The house is just awesome. The owner has everything you could think of for the kitchen. Plus the kitchen is so nice and big my family was in this area most of the time if we were in the house. We had 6 adults and 4 grandchildren and we had lots of room. Bedrooms are all nice sizes. We had it over Christmas holiday and it truly a white Christmas at Heron’s Crossing. Cannot wait to go back.

We had 10 family members over Thanksgiving. The home is spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. The owner thought of every detail and possible need of the client. The beach was beautiful and we could watch Parasailing from the windows. Lots of birds. We will certainly consider renting the home again.

I rarely right reviews but this house was a dream and deserves some praise. With a group of 10, it was spacious and had enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate everyone in the group comfortably. The house has great lighting from downstairs and beautiful views from the family room and outdoor terrace. We especially loved the outdoor fire pit. We would absolutely book this home again. Crystal was pleasant to work with and responsive to all inquiries and questions. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Fantastic location and views Great communication from host and overall a wonder full experience. The bird life is amazing and very comfortable livening space including some kayaking at high tide.

We stayed at Heron Crossing in late September. We absolutely love Whidby Island, and what made this trip so perfect was the wonderful home we rented!! There were so many positives about this house, the location was at the end of a dead end road, the ocean at our doorstep, the grounds that were beautifully manicured and best of all the tastefully decorated interior that was so cozy. We loved each and every room in the house!! We have stayed in many Vrbo's over the years both internationally and in the US. This home was definitely one of our favorites. Amazing house and property. Crystal was so welcoming and helpful. We had a wonderful time but our stay was way too short. Definitely planning on returning. We highly recommend coming here to relax and unwind.

This was our second stay at this amazing property. Crystal just keeps making it better. The new appliances and flooring are so nice. She really cares about this home and lucky for us she shares. Our Grandson’s didn’t bring any of their toys from home this trip because we knew there was everything they would want there in the house. Books, games, balls and sand toys. Games, puzzles and out door toys for adults too. The gardens and yard were wonderful. The water is our main draw to the area but this yard is pretty hard not to love. It would be a perfect place for a wedding. So many entertaining areas for a small group. We are checking dates with family now to see if we could get the whole family together as there is plenty of room for all of us. We look forward to next year.

Beautiful home with fabulous gardens all around it. It was equipped with everything we could need and we really enjoyed the games, fire pit and the incredible views. Didn't use the kayaks or paddle boards, but maybe next time. Thank you Crystal for sharing your home with us.

We had 3 generations of family vacationing together and this property could not have been more comfortable. There was plenty is safe play space for the toddlers, paddle boards and kayaks for the in-betweenness, and quite garden and patio spaces for those who wanted that experience. Chrystal thought of everything when outfitting this home for guests. We will be back to enjoy this very special spot.

What an amazing location! We live an hour away but it felt like another world. With two families and four kids this house was perfect. Exactly what we needed :) I wish we could stay longer!

I've been in the travel industry for almost a decade and have stayed in vacation rentals all over the world. I can honestly say, this was the best experience I've ever had from a home rental. Our family of 10 came from all four corners of the U.S. for a week together after almost two years of not seeing each other. We couldn't have picked a better house, it's a stunning and spacious property with what must be the loveliest garden in all of Washington. There was plenty of space to spread out, an extremely well-equipped kitchen that made cooking for a large group easy and enjoyable, and of course the water views from almost every room in the house. We spent hours on the patio and at the fire pit, overlooking the sea, chasing the crabs on the beach and watching the eagles and herons right outside the back door. There are so many amenities to enjoy like lawn games, kayaks and paddle boards that we truly didn't even want to leave the house to explore the island. This is a very special home and I can't say enough wonderful things about Crystal, who helped us have the best possible week we could've imagined. My family is already talking about which week we'd like to book for next year!

The property inside and out is beautiful! The multiple bedrooms allowed our family of 10 to spread out and enjoy our own spaces. The kayaks and paddle boards were new for us and so much fun. We had campfires 3 times throughout the week and were glad for the air conditioning one day.

Staying at Heron's Crossing was a dream. The location is really too beautiful to be believed, and even better than in the photos. Crystal was extremely helpful as we planned our small weekend elopement/minimony, and I can't recommend this place enough as a space for a small event. The only downside was we were so busy with planning that there wasn't a lot of time to sit and enjoy the property! Looking forward to coming back for a true vacation sometime soon.

Celebrated a friend’s 50th birthday here with 6-8 girlfriends. Loved this place and would definitely return! Beautifully decorated with attention to so many details. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for supplies. So much space to spread out and the garden and water views were incredibly! Shopping and brunch in Langley was fantastic! Chrystal was so accommodating and easy to work with too!

Great location, great house and beautiful garden made this weekend getaway the perfect spot to enjoy some family time. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook up our meals and sitting around the fire pit watching all the bald eagles was a special treat!

Heron's Crossing was a lovely place to catch up with family. Lovely to be right on Useless Bay, which we found quite useful for kayaking, paddle-boarding, and bird-watching. My sister and her friend even saw some orcas in the distance!

Our family had a wonderful stay. The house is cozy and charming, but with plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and 3 kids. The house was very clean and the grounds beautiful. We saw an otter running on the beach and heron fishing. Crystal went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome, were comfortable and had everything we needed. We look forward to returning.

We had to secure a house quickly due to a death in the family. Crystal was very responsive to our booking request and questions and was able to set everything up at the house with only a few days notice. We enjoyed the spacious and comfortable house and really appreciated the "beach cottage" feel and decor. I highly recommend this property.
