Clean and comfy. Close to everything. Would stay again

We had a wonderful time on St Simons Island staying at Oyster Shell Cottage. The cottage was cozy, clean, and well maintained. The location was also great, close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. I would Highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing and quiet getaway on the island.

Property was great! Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Had a great time! We will be back!

If they’d sell it, I’d buy it! Lovely cottage, complete with screened-in room that is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine or a book… or both! Built in the 1920s, but affectionately restored, this three bedroom home has plenty of seating and all the amenities. Conveniently located one street away from the main Mallery St shops and restaurants and famous Pier. Walking distance to everything! The Welcome Book is so informative with the history of the home as well as recommendations of restaurants and activities. Take the time to read it- you’ll be happy you did! My two little boys enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and exploring SSI. Mini golf capped off our evening after a great dinner at Crabdaddys, and just before ice cream at one of the local spots on Mallery St. We’ll definitely be back; or maybe just me and some girlfriends for some R&R!

Our girlfriend group gets together at least once a year. This year, our high school reunion afforded us a unique opportunity to be together and attend the festivities in nearby Jesup. We had a blast! We walked all over the village…enjoyed long walks and lots of talk! The front porch is perfect for an evening cocktail!

Overall the stay was great. However, the porch was very dirty from prior storms. Dirt and leaves all over the furniture and floor. I spent about an hour cleaning it. This should have been noticed by the walk through the agent said was done before our check-in

Stayed here with a group of friends for a wedding. It was perfect. Location is great, cottage is precious.

Saint Simons has so much to offer and our stay at this property made the trip even better. The house is an amazing location, is close to shops, restaurants, Neptune Park, and the water. The house is beautifully decorated, well stocked, and very clean. The screen porch is the perfect spot to relax. I would love to stay at this property again & highly recommend to anyone.

The stay was good overall. First vacation rental I can recall to not provide shampoo and conditioner. The back patio is a wasted opportunity. It’s not a huge space, but it’s just empty with some chairs stacked up to the side. The location can’t be beat and the house was very clean.

We had another wonderful stay at the cottage. It has everything you need and is within walking distance of so many things. We have already booked this same time next July. A great place to stay!

Clean, quaint, close to pier village and very near to low tide beach access. Owners have done an excellent job of updating and providing modern conveniences in a great old beach cottage. Very roomy. Fans and air conditioner were top notch. In the future, when bathrooms are ready for renovations, the only thing that would be more comfortable for seniors would be to replace at least one of the original bathtubs with a walk in shower. My senior parents had a bit of a difficult time with the tubs. Otherwise the cottage is superb. I am a renovation contractor and I think the renovations were thoughtfully done and they maintained the character of the cottage. I'm always glad when the old cottages aren't knocked down to make way for multiple tall houses on the same lot. Kudos to the owners.

We came down to be with family and this location was perfect. A couple of blocks to restaurants, shopping and activities for children. The house was perfect. Spotlessly clean and neat. We enjoyed our stay and plan to come back to this home in the future. Thank you!

Overall, this is a great place to stay at SSI. Very clean and basics are provided which is a plus. You do have to drive or golf cart to the beach. We enjoyed the porch in the mornings. Because you are located in a busy area, there is noise in the evening and at night. We would love to stay again sometime.

This quaint bungalow is steps away from the water and town. St. Simons is a special place that has great restaurants, a slow pace of life and family friendly.

We had a wonderful time at this property. It’s extremely close to all the restaurants and the beach. The house had everything it needed and was advertised appropriately. Would love to stay again. I was able to park my car and walk to all the things I want to do. Saint Simons is beautiful.

This is the best location hands down. 100 steps from being on the square for Restaurants and shopping. 50 steps from water. What a great cottage to relax and enjoy the area.

The house was exactly what we needed. Everything was clean and ready for us to arrive. The neighborhood was safe and the community was amazing to be a part of.

We loved this beautiful home! It was in the perfect location to walk to the pier, watch the sunset, catch the trolley for a tour or get a bite. The house was clean and we all enjoyed reading the history! Thank you so much!!!

The location is amazing. Easy parking. Right around the corner from all the beach shops and restaurants. Less than 100 yards from the beach and water. Beautiful area. The house was clean and nice and the beds comfy. Very spacious and met our needs. Would stay again.

Excellent location! Close to village, parks, restaurants - but very private setting. We loved walking to the end of our street ( maybe 30 yards) to watch the sunset and high tide crashing on the rocks. Very clean and kitchen well equipped. We will book this house again.

My wife’s family is from. Brunswick. We loved the house. Especially the location. Only two items were not great. First was the threats to charge us an extra day if we tried to check-in before 4PM. Second was that the shower liner in the front bedroom was full of mold. Loss ur was that there only two trash can bags. We had to buy more.

This lovely cottage was a welcome escape from Hurricane Ian. Just a block from the village and the panoramic views of a storm that we could see from a distance and count our blessings when it did not come closer. Cottage could be in an interior design book for how to reimagine comfort and color without giving up the charm of an older cottage. Highly recommend and be sure to find time to just relax on the amazing screened in porch.
