This was an awesome getaway! My sister's and brothers had a great time. The cabin is amazing and all nine of us were very comfortable. It was a beautiful drive into the cabin, the fall colors were amazing. We would definitely go there again. Thanks!

Quiet and peaceful

This was our second stay at this property. The whole family loves the set-up. Plenty of space to spread out, well-appointed kitchen, wonderful water front for kids. Caribou Lake is a special place and this cabin helped make for a great family vacation.

This was our 2nd stay at this property, 1st time in the summer (previous was during winter ski season). It was even more beautiful with the flowers blooming and the lake accessible. We enjoyed having fires outside, sitting on the deck to eat and converse and using the lake (when it was warm enough!) There were kayaks and a canoe to use which was so nice that we didn't have to bring our own. So close to hiking trails and other fun things to do. The home itself is just immaculate and we enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen to cook and the beautiful space including games and books on the shelves, as well as the toys for the kids. Thanks for another great stay and we hope to stay again!

I have rented this beautiful cabin 3 times. It is a wonderful spot for our family. We loved the inside and out! Close to Grand Marais if you are inclined to visit, yet plenty to do on Caribou Lake. We loved the fishing, camp fire and the spacious deck (s). Thank you!

The location was perfect. close to everything we wanted to to in Northern MN. The house was very roomy for the 7 of us. The kitchen cookware was amazing. The lake was beautiful and the water was warm. A great time was had by all.

The cabin exceeded expectations. It is in a perfect location to take advantage of day hiking on the Superior Hiking Trail then returning to a spacious cabin to rest and refresh. Every little detail was thought of, from the layout, decorations, fast Wi-Fi, firewood, extra blankets, games and especially the well equipped kitchen. We really enjoyed sitting around the fire each night looking out over Caribou Lake as the sunset.

We had a great time at this excellent property. Loved the well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and furniture, fireplace, games and movies, excellent hand soap and lotion, complimentary maple syrup (yum!), cozy throw blankets, clean property, beautiful view, wildlife, and easy access and communication! So clean and cozy, and just as short trip to the ski hill. We loved it here! Theresa was very responsive and helpful. Definitely recommend!!

We have been doing this for over 15 years we usually start the grand kids about 7 or 8 through HS. We need a place where we can gather, your place was great for that, maybe could use another couch in the living room.

We had a great experience. The space was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 6 kids. We were within minutes of Lutsen Mountain for skiing and also very close to the snowmobile trails, so all of our group was able to easily access their desired activities. The owner was very accommodating and prompt in her communication when questions came up. We hope to return to this property in the future, but next time it will be for more that just a weekend!

With 7 beds and two couches we could easily fit our family of 8. Open kitchen/living/dining room area was perfect for family gatherings. Well stocked kitchen had all the extra gadgets we needed. We also enjoyed the extra touches to make us feel welcome and at home!

It was a great experience. No regrets and everything went as planned!

Our overall impression of the property was that we were impressed! It is an updated well-kept log cabin tucked back in the woods surrounded by snow. There was plenty of room for our group of 8 adult/teenagers. It had really everything we could have asked for: came well stocked with kitchen accessories, plenty of linens, and a very easy check-in/check-out process. I had great communication with the owner prior to our arrival. Highly recommended and thanks for a great stay!

This place was wonderful for our group of 10. The home is designed with the bedrooms off to the side so once the kids go to bed the adults can stay up chatting. The little details were really wonderful - a stair gate, good shampoo in the shower, and lots of toys and games for the kids. We all agreed this was the best VRBO we have ever stayed in.

We’re beyond thankful for our time spent at this beautiful property. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything from a stand up mixer to crockpots and everything in between. Although we visited during the “shoulder” season were blessed with one warmer day so we enjoyed our time kayaking and did a little fishing off the dock. Mother Nature treated us to a spectacular sunset that was absolutely breathtaking. The fireplace was put to good use as the weather turned into what is typical of November. This would be a great place for skiers in the upcoming months. If your looking for a convenient home base while adventuring on the North Shore I highly recommend this property!

This log cabin met all of our needs while staying on the North Shore. We had great weather to enjoy the Lake although it was a rocky bottom which is typical throughout the Lake it looked like. We didn't have much success fishing off the dock either but that was okay. It had a great fireplace where we could enjoy the sunsets and we were even lucky enough to see the Northern Lights one night of the trip. Great hiking trails nearby and Lutsen and Grand Marais are close by, so great location to stay.

Plenty of room for a multi-generational family to spend a week together. Close to a lot of state parks and just a quick drive up to Grand Marias. We loved the location.

Loons, lake, boats! Our family had a perfect stay. The kitchen is very well stocked. Spices, waffle iron, crockpot & lots of cooking pans are all available. The drinking water is really tasty. Good supply of games & toys for little ones. Plenty of life jackets for kayaking and canoeing. The owner is very easy to contact and replies almost immediately. We prefer to stay on Caribou Lake for swimming and fishing. Lake Superior is impressive but so cold! Wonderful hiking is very accessible. Caribou River Wayside hike to the falls was a favorite. Nice swimming hole at Temperance River State Park (alltrails.com) but cliff jumping into the River can be dangerous. We love staying at the Lodge & hope to return for our 3rd year!

Great rental. We had a group of 10 and it worked very well for us, having the bedrooms separate from the main room is nice as some could retreat to a quiet area while others could congregate. The kitchen is large and well equipped and we appreciated the kayaks and canoe. Five stars!

My husband and I really enjoyed all the amenities the cabin had to offer, especially the kayaks. Private lake access was a definite plus. The cabin was clean and well stocked. Would definitely return!

We had a wonderful experience renting this cabin for a week. It was the perfect place! The cabin was fully stocked with spacious bedrooms, bathrooms, a TV/multi media room, plenty of water accessories, multiple decks for outdoor dining and seating and an overall wonderful quiet lake for kayaking and fishing from the dock. We didn't take the canoe out but it was nice to know it was there. The host has thought of everything. We had paper products and delightful soaps, lotions and hair products in the bathrooms and kitchen...and a kind surprise waiting on the kitchen counter. The location is an absolute plus. So close to cute little towns, hiking and beautiful views everywhere you go. We hired a fishing guide from Little Vince's Fishing Guide Service and had a fun morning fishing up the Gunflint trail. We wouldn't hesitate to rent this cabin again. The host was super responsive when I needed to ask a couple of questions, including bringing multiply cars. We hope to be back.

My family and I had an amazing time! The cabin was comfortable and well maintained. Access to kayaks, canoes, and a private beach/dock area was certainly an added bonus. A+++ :-)

We hada wonderful stay with friends for a long weekend of skiing at Lutsen! Everything abiut the cabin was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Teresa was very responsive and accommodating when a winter storm delayed our departure. We hope to rent the cabin again next year for another fun filled skiing getaway!

We LOVED this spacious, cozy cabin! Here with our family of 4 (kids age 3 and 8), mother/grandma and nephew (9). We appreciated the details such as nice shampoo, conditioner and lotion provided. The kids toys/books/games were really appreciated- not many places think of small kids and this was part of what drew us here. There were even nightlights which are appreciated with small kids as well as kid friendly dishes. Beautiful, immaculately clean and clear instructions and recommendations for the area. Can’t wait to stay here again! Would also love to check it out in summer as the lake is right out the door. Just note there are several steps to go down to the front door so if mobility is an issue for you, FYI.

This place is an incredibly nice cabin in the woods. We came to ski at lutsen and it was a great distance from the ski hill. A perfect place to come back to after skiing to hang out with friends. Looks like it would be lots of fun in the summer with the lake too! The owners were very accommodating and even checked in with us as we got lots of snow.
