We stayed at this property last year and loved it. This year my wife and I had our adult grandson in tow and he was similarly impressed. As before the property was spotless, well equipped and in a terrific waterfront position. This allowed us to fish day or night from the private dock as the immediate water front was illuminated at night attracting in fish. That said the majority of fish caught were catfish but that was probably due to our lack of skill rather than absence of big fish. The location of the property is great for visiting the local Hutchinson Island beaches or driving round the attractions of the greater Stuart area. I can highly recommend this property.

This house is now part of a family tradition ! We stayed for our third year in a row. The house is very well maintained, in a wonderful location. It allows us to have family time and enough activities to entertain all the age groups as well. We are happily looking forward to the next visit.

Very nice property, only complaint is mattresses are very uncomfortable and need replaced. Also, tv in the livingroom doesnt show as many channels as the bedroom tvs.

Nettle’s Island was such a wonderful place. They had so many amenities and everything was so well kept. Not a spec of trash anywhere. No loud partying. This was definitely my vibe. The Perez’s home was very beautiful. Very clean and well equipped. The dock lights are cool at night. Lots of fish! Make sure you are aware of the no see ums near the mangrove trees though. They will eat you up at dawn and dusk! They have thought of every detail imaginable here. The master bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept on while renting. On vacation, I like to be able to catch up on relaxation and sleep; that can be hard to do when you are sleeping on a terrible mattress. I find it more often than not the owners do not want to invest in those. They sure did here! Everything was perfect. Probably one of the best places I’ve stayed! We will be back!

My husband and I had a fabulous stay at Get-a-Wave Cottage. The house had everything we needed during our stay. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels, cleaning supplies and even bug spray (which we needed when the sun went down). The best part of the property was the dock and access to the water. I am an avid paddle board fisherwoman and I was able to launch my board right from the dock. When not out on my board, I fished right from the dock and caught snook, mangrove snappers, and ladyfish. Luisa and Luis were great hosts and we will definitely be back to stay. Amazing trip!!

Completely amazing! Many thoughtful items all around the cottage. The high top table and chairs on the dock just the right height to enjoy the view. A empty basket on the dining table for keys and easy access. The basket of makeup face cloths in bathroom. Vacations for us means NO makeup but a thoughtful touch! Thanks for everything!

The cottage was super clean and in a great location. Easy check in process. The walk to the beach was short. The perfect week in Jensen for our honeymoon! We hope to be back next year. Thank you!!

This place was absolutely perfect for us! The scenery and fishing from dock were wonderful. The host was very responsive and super helpful! A superstar host for sure! Will definitely come back!

This property was situated on the Nettles Island gated development on Hutchinson Island. Its location was directly on the waterfront on the Indian River Lagoon with a private jetty extending out into deep water. At night the water was lit by underwater green lighting which attracted a large variety of fish close to the property. Access to the single story, split level house was via a security gate which was manned 24 hours a day. The ideal location of the property was complimented by its spotless appearance inside and out. It was fully equipped with everything holiday makers need ranging from a modern kitchen, TVs , comfortable seating and bedding to a good selection of reading material. The main bedroom was a good size but the 2nd room featured bunk beds which would probably only suit children rather than adults. Parking was on a drive large enough for 2 cars. The nature of the development meant that strict rules governed the behaviour of the other house holders and overall the entire site was both clean and quiet. During the period we were there Hurricane Ian made its landfall in the area and the property proved to be secure and safe. Although most of the shops and cafes were closed over the Wednesday and Thursday we were there due to the adverse weather there was a very well stocked grocery store close by on Nettles Island which provided all the essential foods we needed to ride out the storm. The property owner was very responsive to any queries we had and always provided prompt e mail feedback. In summary the cottage lived up to its promotional material and we can highly recommend it for a most relaxing (hurricanes excepted) stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful time! Luis and Luisa were so gracious and generous with the information that they offered. My husband went to primarily fish and caught a wide variety of fish from the dock in his casting net. The views were spectacular and the amenities were wonderful as well. We loved every minute of it. Luisa was very responsive and kind as we were able to check-in without any problems and get settled. Definitely a trip to remember! Thank you so much!

This house is spacious, beautifully situated and has a beachy feel. It is a perfect getaway. The area is tranquil with lots of things to do and share with the family. This is the second year we stay at the house and plan to make it a family tradition. In addition, the hosts are helpful, inviting and very kind!

This was our second time renting the Get A Wave Cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house was clean, comfortable and in a primo location for fun in the sun! The owner’s are lovely and we look forward to our next visit!

Home was very convenient and comfortable. Had 2 teen daughters with us. They made a bunch of friends with other teens on the island. A couple that were residents and a couple that were also on vacation. Everyone was in the area was super friendly. Home was fully stocked with everything you need. Would love to come back soon.

The place is clean and the owners are easy to deal with. The dock is a great place to spend the sunset having dinner on the patio set. It is bigger than the pictures look.

Very clean, large kitchen/living/dinning rooms; excellent views of the Indian River! Great dock for relaxing morning coffee, evening sunsets and try your luck at fishing. Cottage is well stocked with cooking utensils; comfortable beds, large TV in living room; host responded quickly. Looking forward to stay there again.

Very nice place to stay. Would highly recommend. Thought we were going to have access to a golf gate to buzz around based on reading info? Not a big deal. Would stay again.

My mom and I escaped to this lovely property for five days, and we absolutely loved it! The location was great, the cottage was clean, well appointed and maintained, and exactly as advertised! Louisa, our host, was very responsive and made sure everything was ready and tip top. We had a very relaxing visit and we will be back again!

The location was great. We had lots of fun fishing off the dock and seen dolphins swimming in the back yard.

My boyfriend and I stayed 6 nights in this wonderful property. The location and view could not have been better. Fishing off the dock was a big hit and my favorite part of the house was the kitchen with a beautiful panoramic view of the Indian River. There were Dolphins every morning right outside the door and every single day and night snook around the dock as well as a multitude of other fish. The house is extremely spacious and comfortable. I look forward to booking this again next year and years to come.

We really enjoyed our stay at this adorable home on Nettles Island. This home had everything we needed for a week’s vacation. The location was perfect, on the water, with great views of Nettles Island, the marina and sunsets every night. Luisa was a perfect host, was very responsive, and a joy to deal with. An absolutely wonderful place to stay! We will definitely be back!

This place was perfect in every way! We really enjoyed having breakfast each morning out on the dock and the view is amazing, dolphins, boats and the sky was stunning in the evening. The cottage had everything you would need. The host was lovely and always available. Highly recommend!

Awesome place! They’ve literally thought of everything & has everything you could possibly need- even snorkel gear! The place is spotless, the beds are so comfortable, fast internet, great A/C, good water pressure & hot water. Literally everything was perfect. Don’t look anywhere else in Nettles Island. We’ll be back with the whole family for sure!
