The hotel is very modern and stylish. Cozy, spacious room with sofa, fridge, wardrobe, record player... The bathroom is large and nice as well. Spa area of the attached fitness center may be used free of charge for hotel guests. Nice pool and sauna. Location is directly next to the train station, the neighborhood seemed clean and secure. Just a few steps away from Lapps island and restaurants/bars on the waterfront north to it.

The staff and location of the attached Sophie's restaurant is generally nice and helpful. However, one day, trying to book breakfast on the room, they first couldn't find the receipt, then gave out a wrong one, and became kind of harsh when asked whether everything has been booked correctly in the end. Didn't want go there for breakfast again.

Great interior, friendly staff, use of facilities, pool and changing rooms before check in. Hair dryers and straighteners in the changing rooms. Earplugs offered in the rooms. Room was available before check in time and we were allowed to check in early.

Bed was creaky in the room. Could hear the trains from the station beside the hotel (earplugs offered free of charge), didn’t bother us too much. €100 security deposit taken on arrival even though hotel room was fully paid prior to arrival.

The trendy decor and a really lovely bathroom and shower. I had room service and it was fast and really tasty. Lively bar area, while I didn't get to enjoy it, there was a warm atmosphere in the reception/bar area. Excellent Wi-Fi. Easy check in/out.

I need to qualify this as a work stay, not a night away with the girls or mini break. The parking, you have to park in the back car park of the train station, I didn't know this and had to walk the long way around to the hotel. A bit annoying - but not the hotels issue. There is a shorter walk from the other car park on the Quay side- this might help others! It is worth noting this is right beside the train station and you can hear them. The breakfast was €20, ok, it is a la cart, so you get a menu but with prices on when you go in (all items cheaper than €20). For a work stay its easier to just get what you want yourself, not to have to ask for a top up of tea. So, basically I paid 20 for 2 poached eggs and some brown bread and a cup of tea. I didn't want the set menu (eggs benedict, French toast etc...) which was all catered to what I think is a holiday stay or a more relaxed breakfast. If you like a bowl of cereal or some beans on toast with a few mugs of tea over a laptop, this is not for you. On a mini break this would be a delight but I felt it was really expensive and confusing given the lower prices on the menu??? Room €130 breakfast €20 parking €9.50 plus dinner. I don't want to put anyone off this Hotel, just for fellow solo work stays, its the small things that make a big difference to a smooth overnight stay and this hotel did not deliver that for me.

Lovely hotel with a beautiful pool area. Rooms are very cool. Love the mini bar and record player.

Location is just a little outside the city centre. Just something to be conscious of when booking.

The location is excellent the lobby is fab rooftop restaurant food is fabulous just a lovely stay .

The bed was way too soft made up of 2 single mattresses. Paid parking. Choice of music in lobby bar inappropriate for clientele. Bar closed way too early.

The Room was beautiful. We stayed in an accessible room as we travel with electric wheelchair, the room was wonderful and spacious which made driving around and turning very easy. The accessibility features like wall fittings etc are in the colour scheme of the bathroom and don't feel out of place, which does make a difference when travelling with special needs.

The accessibility described on the website, such as ceiling track/hoist and accessible sauna/pool where not accurate. We were looking forward to using these amities and therefore decided to pay for a nicer hotel, so that did leave us disappointed, however, Ian the Manager was wonderful, listened intently to what might be missing or could be improved for future stays as the layout like step-free entrance etc are actually available, at least to say he provided excellent customer care. None of the doors in the hotel can be opened automatically, should a wheelchair user travel alone it might be an issue to open the heavy doors by themselves. Furthermore, the bathroom was cold despite having the thermostat on in the room and the water didn't really get hot, but that could have been due to the time.

Staff were very helpful. Beautiful decor. Top class gym equipment.

Our room was next to the noisy train track. We called reception at 11pm saying that the loud noise from the trains is making it impossible to sleep. We were told the last train was at 11pm. At 12 am, unable to sleep, we called reception again and were then transferred to another room. Not a good night's sleep at all. The hotel is very 'hip', but if you value a good night's sleep, either stay at another hotel or ask for a room facing away from the train tracks. Rooms are not cheap at this hotel and the minimum one wants is a quiet room.

Gorgeous hotel, clean central, Swimming pool is small but lovely

The room was tiny! We had small squeeze around the bed get into the bed due to angle of the room. Not all rooms are like this. It’s fine for nights stay but a few nights you wouldn’t have much room for luggage.

The rooms where amazing , filled with lots of munchies and drinks incase u get thirsty during ur stay. The staff was absolutely amazing all so friendly and helpful. Food @ Sophie’s was so good.

As we were on second floor we could hear the music but we didn’t mind for someone going for relaxation might be annoyed with this.

Absolutely stunning hotel, fabulous pool, very comfy bed! Gorgeous room and bathroom, facilities were stunning.

Wow it was loud! They left ear plugs on the side table, the room was looking over the train station and it was incredibly noisy throughout the night with train horns going all the way until 12:20am at night! The sound of machinery from the station was so loud even with closed windows. The staff were fine, but not very hospitable at the gym and not overly friendly.

I loved the attention to detail and high quality finishes in the decor. The mini bar is adorable, the gym and spa facilities fabulously thought out, not only beautiful but practical too. The restaurant upstairs was surprisingly good. It's important to know that one side if the hotel is close to the railway. Although they provide ear plugs it may be wise to request a room on the other side if you're a light sleeper. In our case we asked for a room change and it was handled without hassle. Great staff, friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend the Dean Hotel in Cork.

Design is so cool, the bathroom is awesome, spacious and well equipped.

The room is a bit small and the mattress is a disaster, however, the receptionist only replied no one complained it before. Luckily, the housekeeper understood the problem instantly and suggested to turn the mattress upside down. At least, I can have a good sleep in the following three nights.
