Family time with elderly mother/grandmother. We spent our time just enjoying being together. All of us had fun! Amenities were great! We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the large play area with ping pong table. Also the large table for eating was perfect for us all to sit around.

Comet Falls Lodge is probably one of the best appointed cabins anywhere in the North Carolina Mountains. It is an easy and scenic drive through the Gated Community with well maintained paved roads all the way up to the paved driveway of the cabin. The cabin appears to have been designed from the ground-up to have a very flexible floor plan that can accommodate almost any type group. Inside everything was so clean and sanitized, it seemed as if we were the first to ever rent the cabin. The Owners seem to have thought of all the things people wish for, and then added in a few things people may forget. Being only 20 minutes from the beautiful town of Black Mountain, with some of our favorite restaurants and shopping, was just a bonus. The hiking trails in the community had many scenic locations including waterfalls. The Owners made sure we knew they were accessible if we had any questions or needs. I would easily recommend this cabin as one of the best for a group gathering anywhere near Black Mountain.

Our family of 10 adults and one 2-year old stayed Thanksgiving week and if it was available next year, we would re-book! We've rented luxury homes during this time for over 25 years and this one is top of the list. It was super clean and was very well stocked with ample supplies of the basics- toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, kitchen soaps and hand soaps in all baths, firewood, etc. The open layout for main floor was terrific and spacious and having 2 masters on that level was a plus. The huge kitchen table was also a treat. The two upstairs masters were able to close off their area from below with French doors for added quiet time, which you don't often find with lofts, so extra props for that! The paved circular drive was so convenient for all of our vehicles and helped keep debris from the house. The deck furnishings are top of the line, as are the interior furnishings. It sits alone at the end of the drive, at least for now, which really added to the privacy and cut down road noise and fear of our little one getting in the road. We did enjoy touring the neighborhood, but didn't go hiking this year. Like I said, if it was available, it would be the first home we considered rebooking in 25 years!

Fantastic house. Loved the 6BR/6Bath! Sure is hard finding a house with that setup these days. Our group moves around every year but may be back in the future! Outstanding host who also answered any questions quickly.

Jason did a great job communicating all the community had to offer - from recommendations for restaurants to private hikes. House was clean and well kept, and we appreciated the thoughtful gift basket and small touches around the house.

We had 9 adults and 6 children (ages 3-11), all from Florida, staying at Comet Falls Lodge to attend the wedding of one of my daughters at a nearby venue. The lodge is very private, spacious, very clean and furnishings are well appointed, providing ample seating, storage and sleeping area, but leaving plenty of open space to move around. Several meals were prepared in the well equipped kitchen including a dinner for 17 adults and 9 children. On this occasion we had nine vehicles parked in the lodge driveway with space for several more. The deck was a popular spot for early risers and in the evenings the fireplace on the deck was a favorite spot for making s’mores. The starter logs and wood provided by the host were much appreciated. The experience of the hosts and their attention to detail is reflected in the well thought out design of the lodge, the great condition in which it is maintained, how well stocked it is with things such as linens, towels, and toilet paper, the comprehensive lodge handbook and the amenities they have provided. The welcome basket was a nice touch and quickly emptied when the kids discovered it. The area is beautiful with even the groom and his family, who are from southern Germany, commenting how much they liked the area and the lodge. One of my daughters, who is not fond of traveling, enjoyed the visit so much that she suggested we should consider visiting here every year. You have to know her to understand what a compliment that is!

Wonderful cabin in the woods…the bedrooms are all suites, and perfect for our friends reunion. Very large dining table for eating, sharing and reminiscing. Three common areas for different activities. Lovely home, and attentive owners.

The lodge was beautiful and private. We spent a lot of time on the large deck!

Spent weekend at house and everything was wonderful. The house is in a gated community, very private and quiet. A great place to reconnect with friends. We were a group of 4 couples each had their private bedroom and bath. House was clean and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend staying here. Cant be beat. Would definately stay again. You wont be disappointed if staying here. Hosts kept in contact , checking if we needed anything.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house! The house was spacious and allowed for all of us to gather in different areas. Our three grown daughters, their husbands and their children as well as us grandparents kept busy in some part of the house.The bunk room for all the cousins was a big hit as well as Pac Man! The best part was that we were all able to gather at the same table for our meals. I highly recommend this home and I cannot praise how professional and communicative the owners were.

Beautiful cabin held our group of 16 perfectly (5 families). Very clean, great private location with trails, creeks and waterfalls within the community. Loved the outdoor fireplace at night and the kids loved watching the fireflies. Hosts were very responsive and easy to communicate with. Definitely a 5 star experience.

Beautiful, spacious home! It was perfect for 4 couples and kids. Our 3 toddlers loved the open floor plan where they had plenty of room to run and play. Even the closets were big and made great spaces for the Pack and Plays (cribs). House was very clean upon arrival and had everything we needed in the bathrooms, kitchen and laundry. Enjoyed nearby hikes and the town of Black Mountain. Would definitely return!!

I rated the house as excellent because it is clean, quiet with no nearby houses, plenty of parking space, able to unload/load vehicle on main floor level just a few feet from door, kitchen well stocked with pots and utensils for cooking in, large dining room table (seats 12 comfortably), good internet connection, and large walk-in closets in bedrooms. Visitors will likely see a few wild turkeys, deer and possibly a bear while coming and going.

Beautiful spacious home 40 min from all the Asheville activities. Clean, well stocked, very nicely decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. Communication with the owners was perfect (helpful but not overbearing).

This cabin was one of the best we've ever rented. We always prefer working with private hosts, and this was one of our best experiences yet. The cabin is located about 20 minutes' drive from Black Mountain, NC, which is a cool, small mountain town with some restaurants and shops. The cabin worked great for our extended family with 6 bedrooms with King beds and ensuite bathrooms. The large dining room table was perfect for our party of 9 adults and could easily fit a few more. We also loved the hot tub and wood-burning fireplace and appreciated that cleaning the fireplace is included in the cleaning fee. The hosts provided great instructions and left a beautiful welcome basket with snacks. Our only suggestion would be to install a simple gate on the deck to help secure dogs when enjoying the deck. One night we arranged for a private chef to come and cook a meal and learned that the chef had been to this cabin several times before, including the prior weekend! We had a great experience and look forward to returning.

Great layout. Comfy beds. Definitely use Google Maps app to find it (as suggested by owners) since it works fine whereas other apps don't.

Fabulous view with lots of space for the kids and adults to relax in! The home had plenty of things to get us started and occupied during our time there!! Very responsive owners!!

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at this property! The cleanliness is what caught my attention the most! The location, the privacy, the view, the space and the fact that everyone had their own bathroom just made our visit more enjoyable. Perfect for large families / friends/ groups of all ages. The property is beautiful. Great if you want to get away and just hang / visit / catch up with friends / family. Owners were easy to contact and gave thorough instructions for departure.

We wanted to get everyone together for Christmas and this cabin was perfect. Unfortunately there were record low temperatures but the cabin was perfect even if you are stuck inside. Plenty of firewood provided and a huge gathering area. We will definitely be back.

This home was very welcoming. We have been staying in a different place over Thanksgiving for more than 10 years and this house was perfect for us. The large square table was big enough for all of us to sit around when we had meals and played games. The kitchen was well stocked, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. We were pleased to have so many king beds for the adults. There was even a decorated Christmas tree. The owners were very easy to work with and the welcome gift we were given was a nice surprise. They reached out to us after we checked in to make sure were comfortable. We enjoyed visiting Ashville and Black Mountain. This is the perfect home for a family gathering. We cannot begin to say how much we enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous home. It was a lovely respite for our family and friends who needed this getaway. Every year my friends and family all take our children and we spend 4 nights together SOMEWHERE in the US. This year we chose The Biltmore to go see. Comet Falls was 40 minutes from Asheville, but it was absolutely perfect. 5 suites with attached bathrooms and king size beds and 1 bunk room with an attached bathroom. 3 living rooms with a game room and tons of board games. The adults turned into big kids this week being there. We couldn’t have asked for a better place. This was also the CLEANEST rental I have EVER stayed in. We couldn’t have found a speck of dust, if we wanted to. Everything was also labeled how to use & where to put things, which we loved. IE: washer, dryer, etc. We cooked in almost every meal, and the kitchen was FULLY stocked with everything we could ever need to cook. It was very secluded in a gated community and private. If you’re looking for the perfect home to accommodate a huge family or group, this is it!

Beautiful home meticulously decorated. The instructions to get into the community and home were very helpful. Being greeted with a gift and a book that tells you everything you need to know for an enjoyable stay. Beautiful deck and extremely peaceful. The owners, Jason and Rhonda, are so nice, extremely responsive, and even text you to make sure everything is ok. Beds are super comfortable and on hand firewood was awesome. This place was beautiful, clean, and felt safe tucked in the woods. Deck area was nice and clean as well ! Plenty of essentials provided in the cabin (paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, etc). Great dining table and plenty of seating for a large family/group. Beautiful trails close by ! Definitely recommend and would go back to the same cabin again!! Property owners great and quick to respond if needed anything. We even got to see a black bear, which was awesome ! Kids and adults had a great time. Definitely recommend! Thank you again!!

We enjoyed the entire experience of renting this amazing cabin in Black Mountain. The owners were helpful from the very start as well as the entire visit and check out. This cabin has it all!! Beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything we needed for the week. The set up was perfect for our family. The kids had a great time staying in the bunk room and king room on the lower level, 2 couples used the king bedrooms on main level, and our teenagers loved the upstairs set up with 2 bedrooms and a room to hang out. We will definitely rent this cabin again.

We spent 12 days with friends in this spectacular home. Every detail is accounted for including mason jars on each corner of the porch to catch bugs. The amenities are outstanding. We had so much fun playing all the video games from our childhood. The various spaces are cozy and warm. We enjoyed watching movies, grilling, and brunch at the gorgeous bowling alley table. We rejuvenated in the hot tub after long hikes in the gorgeous areas around Black Mountain. The house was immaculate and clearly loved and cared for. We did not want to leave. And don't worry, the welcome binder and instructions for everything left no stone unturned. Book this place as soon as you can. We will for sure be back.
